Chapter 160: Jealousy
Ye Qian looked at with a smile. “What got you so distracted?”
I smiled. “I suddenly thought of soone and wasn’t paying attention.”
Gu Yan who stood beside Ye Qian, said disdainfully, “Plotting how to harm others again, I see!”
I looked at her with a puzzled expression. “Are you crazy?”
Gu Yan sneered. “You’re the one who’s crazy!”
I took a step forward but Mai Qi pulled back. “Sister Gu Yan, are you feeling better now?’
Gu Yan gave Mai Qi face and answered her politely, “Mai Qi, you need to keep your eyes open when you make friends. You must stay away from bad influences like her!”
Mai Qi’s tone dropped. “Sister Gu Yan, are you saying I need your approval to make friends?”
Ye Qian quickly said, “Don’t mind her. Gu Yan is not in a good mood.” She quickly pulled Gu Yan away, “Xiao Yan, let’s go have our al. We shouldn’t disturb Mai Qi and Nanxing anymore.”
Gu Yan though shoved Ye Qian back and she hissed at . “Who are you to force Jing Tian to admit to the public that you’re his fiance? Do you know how much trouble you’ve brought him? Do you want to get him killed? You have already caused so many troubles for the Nan Family and Jing Ning and now you’re coming for Jing Tian? Don’t think that because you’ve saved him back then, you can use it to leverage it over him! How shaless can you be?”
Ye Qian pulled her back. “Gu Yan, that’s enough.”
I looked at Gu Yan and smiled. “Do I hear jealousy? Who are you to complain on Jing Tian’s behalf? Who are you to Jing Tian? Even an ex-girlfriend would have more right to be jealous of than you do.
“Jing Tian has been avoiding you, did you not notice that? So don’t jump to his defense! Plus who put the idea in your mind that I was forcing Jing Tian? He admitted that I am his fiance because he approves of as his fiance. Do you think people can force Jing Tian to do things against his will? Miss Gu, I’m sorry but that is how the cookie crumbles. He has chosen over you, get over it!” I looked at her with a smug smile.
“You, you…” Gu Yan wanted to charge at but Ye Qian stopped her. “Nanxing, you shouldn’t say things like that!” Ye Qian grumbled at .
I chuckled. “Miss Ye, that was nothing. I’ve already given her enough face. It was she who provoked . And why can’t I say these things? Because Miss Gu can’t bear to hear them?”
Gu Yan’s finger trembled as she pointed at . “You bitch! I’m going to tear your mouth off!”
“Tsk! Look at yourself. And you call yourself the young miss of the Gu Family. You’re more like a street shrew.” I continued.
Ye Qian pulled on Gu Yan and apologized to Mai Qi. “Mai Qi, you and Nanxing should head to your booth. We’ll be leaving.”
Gu Yan still wanted to say sothing but Ye Qian covered her mouth and dragged her away. Before Ye Qian left, she glanced at . When she t my gaze, she imdiately turned away but I caught the viciousness in her eyes.
Mai Qi looked at them and sighed. “Nanxing, you’re a real troublemaker!”
I raised my brow. “Why would you say that?”
Mai Qi looked at . “I believe you have already offended all of my friends.”
I hugged her. “I already told you, those friends of yours are not my friends, they are my enemies.” Gu Yan’s appearance didn’t affect my appetite, I enjoyed the al happily.
Mai Qi shook her head. “Nanxing, you’re a really special person.”
I glanced at her and swallowed the food in my mouth. “What do you an by that? I’m an especially big eater? An especially pretty person or especially annoying?”
Mai Qi laughed and almost choked. “Nanxing, you’re especially cute.”
I made a face at her. “Why thank you.”
Mai Qi sighed, “Why do you like Jing Tian? You would be perfect for my big brother. Your special soul will be perfect for him.”
I halted. “You have a big brother? How co I never heard you ntion him before?”
She shrugged. “What is there to ntion? After all, we need to keep a low profile anyway. Do you know how much I envy normal people like you?”
I smiled. Such was the life of the daughter of a governnt official.
She sighed. “I moved here to study so that I can go out on the street like a normal person. No one knows my real identity. At ho, I have to be followed by a group of people wherever I go. It’s so annoying.”
“They are there to protect you,” I said.
She shook her head. “But there’s no danger to protect from. It’s kinda boring.”
“What? You want to get into danger?”
She pouted, “I have to use my mother’s surna and my movent is always confidential. I was hoschooled until high school. I didn’t get sent outside of my ho until after I needed to attend an international school. It was supposed to be my big move out but I was followed by a troop of nannies. Since I can’t reveal my identity, it’s hard to make real friends.”
