"The elf?"
Maria, or rather Aria, hugged l loosely with one hand around her waist, the other petting her thigh idly.
With a squish to jolt the dazed l back to her senses, Maria frowned. "I thought you were targeting l, though?"
"I see that you’re inford... how pretentious."
The masked figure puffed out his chest, the chain ringing as he shuffled forward. "Though that rely proves my theory even more."
l’s hand wrapped around Maria’s on her thigh, her eyes locked onto the masked figure with an unspoken vigilance.
"What theory?"
Her confused voice echoed between the cliffs before she summoned her staff in preparation.
"Oh, no need to hide yourself any further." The masked figure hunched over, as if mocking. "Whether it is a devilish idea for l Sakura’s safety or a desperate act of safety, it is but a futile attempt to hide before my eyes... Lila Vexara."
...ha?
Confusion gnawed at l’s mind, but a cool breeze brushed against her dizzy thoughts, gradually bringing clarity.
The masked figure tilted his head, seemingly pleased with himself. "As an archbishop, I’ve seen trickery of the eyes in the form of ."
He straightened up, twirling his sickle between his thumb and fingers.
"We have received reports that Lila Vexara was obsessed with l Sakura, and we hoped to teleport them both together, so we would have an extra hostage for l to make an... easier choice."
l narrowed her gaze, a sharp, piercing glint crossing her glare. "Quite a welco you all prepared for then, just to capture a girl still in her sixteens."
"I’ll gladly receive your complint." The man swooped the pickaxe over his shoulder, the tal plate clanging against another tal. "But here I see an elf and another pink-haired one instead."
He started strolling side to side like a professor, jaw clenched with too much pride that he failed to sense the chalk on his head. "So, we began monitoring you two, trying to distinguish what magic this is."
Despite l’s brow raised in interest, his hand over Maria’s tightened.
She readied her staff, preparing to call forth her when needed.
The Cult, through the inconsistency of the intel, could have possibly analyzed out Maria’s magic. If so, she felt the need to brainwash everyone here, despite the risk of exposing herself earlier than expected.
"Then, I think I finally have the gist." The Masked man stopped, his gaze snapping dramatically like an eager detective. "Lila Vexara has never left us, and from your behavioural patterns till here at the cliff, there is one determining factor at hand..."
Then, he pointed at l, or rather, whom he thought was ’Lila.’.
With full conviction, he declared, "You are a bottom, Miss l. Or rather, Miss Lila."
l, the Witch of Lust, froze, a chill creeping up her spine like a part of her dignity was scooped out.
"Uh..." Her lips trembled before curling into a wry smile. "What?"
"That’s right. There’s nothing shaful, Miss Lila." The masked man shook his head, his hands raised for a shrug. "We have thoroughly analysed your behaviour in the market, and l was clearly the top in this relationship."
"Ex-excuse ?"
"And unfortunately, whether out of carelessness or pure lust, that elf didn’t bother hiding her dominant tendencies: only confirming my suspicion that you’re Lila disguised as l. The real l has long since turned herself into the elf."
"He-hello?" A deep blush spread across l’s cheeks. "Plea-please stop for a little..."
"Isn’t that right, l Sakura?" His stare shifted to the elf. "Too bad. You never would have thought your pervertedness would be your undoing."
A shriek threatened to escape l’s lips as she tapped Maria’s hand impatiently, silently begging her to stop the man’s ridiculous rambling.
Her shad, watery gaze flicked back to Maria, who was already covering her lips to stifle knowing laughter.
That was when l realized sothing.
That the Saintess’s magic could have easily exposed the man’s... unknowing accusation.
"You..." l’s voice trailed off, both her hands held up to squish Maria’s cheeks, her own now puffed up in an annoyed pout.
"You knew the whole ti... and you just let him go on like that?"
"So-sorry, l.." Maria stamred under the forceful squishes. "Maybe this serves well as a nicely tid reality check, for our convenience..."
"This is about my self-esteem, you-you anie! Self-Es-teem!" l bit on every syllable, her whimpers already uncontrolled. "How can I... how can I face Lila tonight after this..."
"Uh...if you would excuse ," the archbishop, or the masked man who unknowingly inflicted the heaviest blow imaginable to a Witch of Lust, advised.
"Being in denial would only result in an unhealthy relationship. It’s better to admit early so your bed deeds will-"
"Oh, shut it already!"
"Now, now, don’t be mad." Maria nuzzled her cheek, her chest pressing against l’s back as she hugged her. "We could have discussed more about this tonight, don’t you think?"
"Ah..." l moaned, reminded of her bottom being emptied for Maria’s picking. "Mm... you better... better satisfy ..."
"I could never, l." Maria planted a kiss on her neck. "Look forward to it."
See? I was right, again.
The archbishop sighed, quietly stroking his ego from the inside.
Unbeknownst to her, Kitsu and Eagle-eye shuddered not from shock, but from awe.
So this was her Master’s plan! To confuse the enemy through... willing submission?
Terrifying, so this is the cunning of the Witch of Lust.
Eagle-eye’s gaze t Kitsu’s once more, their eyes locking in silent understanding.
An unlikely friendship was forged, right under their master’s wildly bold move.
"So," the archbishop said, twirling his sickle with asured flair.
"May I ask once again: will you submit to us, or..."
He raised a hand, as the countless crossbows above clicked in perfect unison as they loaded their bolts.
"Face the consequences, l Sakura?"
Her thumb still tracing over l’s torso, the elf tore her gaze away from l’s teary eyes, unable to resist the urge to lick them clean.
While continuing to pat l, she turned to the Masked man. "Well then."
As entertaining as this little performance was, it was ti to end it quickly.
A small smile tugged at her lips, her head tilting slightly as her graceful voice sliced through the tension like a blade through ornate silk.
"Go ahead. See if your warning shot works."
