Standing at a distance, l faced towards Rosana while idly tapping the floor.
"Didn’t Lila freeze the entire floor yesterday?" l smirked. "Who fixed it so quickly?"
"The academy staff." Rosnaa shrugged. "Each one of them was an Apprentice ranked or higher. Cleaning up a few ice with so artifacts shouldn’t be much of a chore."
"Artifacts?"
"By the Principal, yes."
"Well, of course," l mumbled as her toe straightened and pattered her frustration on the ground.
"Alright. Enough chattering."
l drew an idle gaze at Rosana’s hands, the usual weaponries she conjured remained nowhere.
"Not going to hold a weapon?" l raised her brows in surprise.
Rosana shook her head before holding up an open palm.
"This."
Her ruby eyes softened, a hint of regret l had never seen before.
"Will be more than enough."
l paused a little before recalling Rosana in-ga. Fist though? That was a-
Yet as the slight shriek echoed in the silence, l glanced at Rosana, taking a firm stance.
Her fist nudged at her waist, neatly and firmly, without a hint of a gap.
And it was then that l rembered.
"Ah..." l readied her summoning circle, glowing at her teasing expression.
"You did accurately, sohow, sock that Princess into Lila’s spell after all."
No more reply, yet Rosana only folded her lips in return.
[ Greed was impressed with your observation! ]
[ Greed favourability: 59% -> 61% ]
And Rosana sprang forward with a gust kicked up.
As Rosana’s shadow lood, l jumped back as a ka-broom spawned from her summoning circle.
A catch on the broomstick. And l was dragged away just as Rosana’s fist swiped the very tip of her nose.
"Scary~"
l climbed onto the stick as she flew high up, staring at the pitiful Rosana.
"Cheater." Rosana narrowed her eyes, yet the smirk only grew. "Would’ve thought you the type to play fair at a duel."
"Nope!" l raised her hand. "This is you we’re talking about, after all!"
Summoning Circles road on l’s sides before a and a spawned and landed.
They imdiately lunged at the readied Rosana, yet the Heiress rely raised her leg.
Admiring the thigh that squeezed out of the skirt, l then watched Rosana’s foot-
Boom!
Stomp the ground and dashed; the sheer echo stuttering the Doll Hound’s timid steps, but the pacifist Fitsu rushed to et the sonic-speed Heiress.
Swipe! The Heiress’s nail tore through Fitsu, as the red panda was shocked before dispersing into pixels.
The Doll Hound paused before grunting to lunge with the rest of her courage.
Yet a kick at the hound mid-air, and it too winced before greeting oblivion.
"Wow."
l raised her excited brows in awe of the display of the Heiress.
Fitsu, this ti, failed to block Rosana’s strike, too fast without a hint of hesitation.
"Faster than usual, but..." She stretched her hand straight to the ceiling. "Let’s try a new trick then."
A few Summoning circles spawned, all with brooms’ staws sticking out.
Realising l’s tactic, Rosana quickly sprinted as the broomsticks shot out-
Boom!
Explosions followed her steps as she ran, staring skyward at the smuggy l.
The large venue afforded her strides, but her dashing steps soon reached the wall.
With a knee sprang back, Rosana kicked at the wall before springing herself towards l.
The speeding bullets accompanied more dust from the explosion, as she soon reached l with a fist shot out-
Before it paused with the other hand grasping a broomstick, the summon circle beneath suggested a setup.
Purple hues coated the ka-broom; an Echo Buff!
Rosana threw the broomstick away before l slid aside to let the Heiress’s floating self pass.
Another explosion. A cloud of smoke filled the room as the impact pushed her away.
Losing the montum, Rosana curled inward before tumbling to prop herself up, unscratched.
"...Heh."
l stared at the chortling Rosana; unhard, yet her breaths started to grow hushed, as if hurried.
"Were you..." l knitted her brows with a strained smile. "Holding back last ti? When you forced yourself to use the Creation magic?"
A panel flickered like a silent answer.
[ Rizzler’s distance: 20.5m ]
Further than 20m again. l chuckled tiredly before she received an unexpected reply.
"It’s the opposite."
Rosana’s finger danced loosely, demonstrating.
"I simply dislike fighting by hand. It’s a preference, but one that made ... hesitate."
A breath hitched in Rosana’s careful tone, before her hand clutched into a fist again.
"I put imnse ti and effort into magic regardless. To waste them would be to deny the sunk cost."
She stared back at l with a strained look, then loosened along with her fist.
"So. Continue?"
She stretched her limb and conjured a battleaxe, towering over her fra like a silent guardian.
l frowned a little before tipping her lips back up.
She hated it, hurting her lovers because of her curiosity.
But l would carry even that pain; it would be disrespectful if she dismissed it.
Not now, though. She, at her core, was a childish person at heart.
"No."
So she denied Rosana’s spar while shaking her head, before earning a curious glance.
A gratitude drilled into l’s mind; even stripped of her ability to listen to others’ hearts, she knew Rosana regretted the match.
Simply for souring the mood, not for l ’disrespected’ her will to continue.
This won’t do. l wished only for her to be happy in her presence!
Then l relaxed herself, fear of gravity quickening her heartbeat-
Before she allowed herself to fall, the breeze was caressing her cheeks.
Two arms greeted her waist, wrapping firmly as Rosana tumbled to the floor.
Chests sank together as l hugged Rosana’s head, breathing out.
"It’s my loss."
l narrowed her eyes. "And thanks for saving !"
The nun’s drapery slowly slid away, as the pink hair fluttered down to hide an innocent blush.
Rosana could only admire the sight before she tightened her arms to feel l’s skin through the thin fabric.
Her lips parted, hesitant, but she still muttered.
"I’m not weak enough for you to be considerate."
The Heiress’s Dragon heart was clenched to the chest, one she had inherited from the ceremony.
"This is being stubborn, idiot." l pouted.
"We both look for a fun duel, but if one of us is not having fun, we simply should stop."
Flashing a small, cute smirk, l poked Rosana’s cheek.
"So it’s your fault, Miss Rosana."
As the finger twirled, Rosana scooped the finger gently.
"Childish." Rosana chuckled. "You speak as if you’re ready to receive the punishnt ahead."
l’s golden eyes narrowed before she rolled off Rosana.
"I am," l whispered. "Please?"
l’s arms and legs huddled to her chest, turning to Rosana with a fetal-like position.
The implied submission tainted Rosana’s mind, and as she leaned in with a teasing whisper hanging at her lips-
She froze. No sound. No presence. Not even a hint of sll.
But a slight, very slight breeze tickled her cheek, as Rosana swung her gaze to the staircase.
"Rosana?"
The Heiress shuddered at the call before narrowing her eyes in contemplation.
A mory of an annoying old man, with that trimd, exaggerated mustache, revealed himself again in her mory.
Soon, she propped herself back up, her appetite for l unsatiated yet hollowed out.
l chuckled to herself before glancing once again at the panel.
[ Rizzler’s Distance: 500m ]
How gentlemanly! As expected, Rizzler was hardly a villain here.
Analysing, l tapped Rosana’s shoulder, prompting the latter to face her.
"Sothing wrong?" l tilted her head. "Or too distracted by my nun uniform?"
"...it’s nothing."
Rosana let out a huge, uncharacteristic sigh; the noble’s image letting way for a wary daughter.
"Is what I would like to think. But... apparently, an unwelcod guest has intruded in the academy."
Only one man she knew would dare spy on her, along with the ability to dodge her senses.
With seething teeth, Rosana soon stood while lending a hand to l.
"Who?" l grinned as she was pulled up. "It’s my first ti seeing you frustrated, Rosana~"
"Cherish it. This will be the first and only ti."
Rosana petted l’s hair; the gentle touch elicited cute purrs.
"l."
Though the word that followed was light with a hint of sternness.
Rosana requested with bated breath.
"For the punishnt, shall we instead play a ga instead?"
Scanning Rosana’s smiley, closed eyes, l blinked at the mischievousness flickering at her shoulder.
"Sure!" l gave a rapid nod. "What should I do?"
"It’s simple."
Rosana whispered into l’s ear, her tone laced with sharpness.
"We just have to catch a rat."
Next week would be l’s ’promised day’ to be naked.
"Sure! Uh... what rat?"
As l’s eyes glimred, Rosana only played with her ear.
"Rat that dared to peek at where they shouldn’t."
So Rosana wouldn’t allow anyone to peek till then.
It may be a hunch, but Rosana wouldn’t dare ignore it.
She gritted her teeth, each grid of whiteness clung onto a shaful frustration.
