"Hey, Mu Cidian, I’m getting married." Yin Qin sounded very excited.
A smile tugged at the corners of Mu Cidian’s mouth, "So Xiaolang agreed to marry you."
"I’m very charming, you know."
"So charming that it took you years to win her over."
"Can’t you say sothing nice for once?" Yin Qin sounded irritated.
"When’s the big day?"
"On the 15th of next month. I’ll send you the electronic invitation soon, make sure to attend on ti."
"Okay."
"Don’t co alone." Yin Qin suddenly reminded him.
"Why not?"
"I heard Xin Zaozao has a boyfriend now. I don’t want you to feel awkward."
Mu Cidian just chuckled lightly.
It had been almost half a day since he last heard Xin Zaozao’s na.
He replied, "Okay."
"So decisive, is it true?"
"You’ll know when the ti cos."
"Keeping in suspense?" Yin Qin was not pleased.
"Yes." Mu Cidian responded honestly.
"Alright, alright, let’s see how beautiful your girlfriend is. Xin Zaozao better not overshadow her. I always feel that woman treated you poorly, you should make her regret it."
He wasn’t so petulant.
"I’m hanging up if there’s nothing else."
"Every ti Xin Zaozao is brought up, you tend to change the subject. Can’t you let her go?"

"Fine then, I’m going to notify the others."
With that, Yin Qin hung up the phone.
Mu Cidian, after putting down the phone, checked the ti and made another call.

"What ti will you be off work?"

"I will pick you up."
"No need, I can drive myself ho."
"Let’s eat out tonight." Mu Cidian proposed.
"Is there sothing special about today?" Lei Qian asked.

"Then I will cook when I get back."

"Eating out is so expensive..."
"I’ll treat you."
"That’s not what I ant, you work hard to make money..." Lei Qian said, considerate as always.
"I’ll pick you up from your company."
"Alright."
Mu Cidian hung up the phone.
He and Lei Qian had been married for half a year, and they’ve been together for the sa length of ti.
Over this half year, they had always treated each other with respect. They lived under the sa roof but not in the sa room.
Their relationship hadn’t progressed much, yet they didn’t feel there was anything wrong with the way they lived.
Sotis, it felt like a habit.
Getting used to having soone by one’s side, not causing a fuss, but quietly keeping each other company.
He changed into a fresh set of clothes, picked up his car keys and left.
He waited for a while outside Lei Qian’s office. At exactly 6 o’clock, Lei Qian finished work and got into the passenger seat of his sedan, slightly breathless.
Mu Cidian chuckled, "Why did you rush?"
"I didn’t want to keep you waiting." Lei Qian quickly replied.
Mu Cidian chuckled again, "Isn’t it normal for n to wait for won?"
"But I don’t want to keep you waiting." Lei Qian responded seriously.
"Alright." Mu Cidian flashed a gentle smile.
After half a year of living together, Mu Cidian definitely softened up a lot around her.
Even though nothing significant had occurred between them, Lei Qian was content with Mu Cidian’s current attitude towards her.
Mu Cidian parked his car in a shopping mall’s car park.
He got out of the car.
Lei Qian got out of the car following him.
As usual, whenever they were out, Lei Qian would walk obediently by his side, never crossing any boundaries. This ti, however, when Mu Cidian got out of the car, he reached for her hand first.
Lei Qian’s face turned a touch red, her heart racing.
"Get used to it in the future." Mu Cidian remarked.
"Alright." Lei Qian responded energetically.
Mu Cidian, holding Lei Qian’s hand, didn’t head to the reserved restaurant but instead directed them towards a jewelry shop in the mall.
This jewelry brand was world renowned. Lei Qian, aware of it, quickly reached out to hold Mu Cidian back, "The things here are very expensive."
"I know," Mu Cidian replied.
Before Lei Qian could say anything else, Mu Cidian had already led her into the store.
The shop assistants within were more than eager to assist them.
"What can we assist you with, sir and madam?"
"A necklace," Mu Cidian answered.
The assistant imdiately ushered them over, "The necklaces we have here just launched recently. You can pick whatever style you like, and even try them on."
Mu Cidian nodded, selecting the pieces carefully.
Lei Qian gazed at the brilliant necklace inside, unable to look away.
Mu Cidian picked out a blue gemstone necklace, requesting the sales clerk to take it out while speaking to Lei Qian, "As for the ring, I think we still need so ti."
The ring Mu Cidian was referring to was a wedding ring.
This ant that their relationship might need so more ti.
Lei Qian understood his aning and imdiately responded, "No problem, there’s no rush, any ti is fine."
Lei Qian was always considerate, never making him feel uncomfortable, and always considering his feelings first in everything she did.

Lei Qian glanced at the necklace in the mirror a few more tis, a smile she couldn’t hide on her face.
"Would you like to see if there is anything else you like?" Mu Cidian asked.
"No need, this one is enough." Lei Qian refused.
"Sir, we just got a new ring in our store, and I heard you two were going to buy a ring, perhaps you could take a look?" The salesman was seizing the opportunity to market.
"Alright." Mu Cidian nodded.
The sales clerk brought out a few newly launched rings.
She said, "This one should suit your girlfriend perfectly. Although the diamond isn’t large, it’s exceptionally bright, the top color among diamonds, and our designer’s key product this year. There are only 88 pieces in the world, and it’s limited edition. You should try it."
"No need." Lei Qian refused.
"It wouldn’t hurt just to try. You don’t necessarily have to buy it," the sales clerk said gently.
Mu Cidian then picked up the ring, taking Lei Qian’s hand to put it on her ring finger.
Just then, they suddenly heard a familiar voice calling them, "Mu Cidian?"
Mu Cidian and Lei Qian both turned around.
At that mont, they saw Song Lifei and Xin Zaozao standing there.
Xin Zaozao was also looking at them.
Watching as Mu Cidian placed the diamond ring on Lei Qian’s ring finger.
"Are you pregnant?" Lei Qian asked in surprise.
She was asking Xin Zaozao.
Xin Zaozao’s eyes flickered slightly.
She was seven months pregnant. It was very apparent.
At that mont, she took Song Lifei’s arm and said, "Yes."
Song Lifei frowned.
"How many months?" Lei Qian asked.
"Six months," Xin Zaozao replied.
Song Lifei frowned again.
"Just six months?" Lei Qian was a bit surprised.
Mu Cidian and Xin Zaozao had only broken up six months ago, right?
aning that Xin Zaozao started dating Song Lifei and got pregnant as soon as she and Mu Cidian broke up.
A strange feeling filled her heart.

How could she just sleep with another man and get pregnant imdiately after breaking up!
Suddenly, there was an awkward silence.
Song Lifei hurriedly broke the silence," Are you guys buying wedding rings?"
"Oh." Mu Cidian diverted his gaze from Xin Zaozao, "Our marriage was sowhat abrupt before. I didn’t give her anything, so we ca here today."
"It was pretty abrupt." Song Lifei nodded, "I thought your mother forced you two together. Now that your mother has passed away, shouldn’t you both be separated?"
"The wedding was forced, but our love now is real," Mu Cidian said.
"Is it?" Song Lifei frowned, his expression noticeably changing, "Then Xin Zao..."
"Didn’t you say we were going to buy a longevity lock for the baby? Let’s go over there." Xin Zaozao took Song Lifei’s arm.
Song Lifei looked at Xin Zaozao.
He clearly felt that Xin Zaozao was preventing him from speaking.
He held back.
Xin Zaozao walked away with Song Lifei.
Mu Cidian watched their departing figures.
He turned to the sales clerk nonchalantly, "Has the card been processed?"
"It’s done." The departing sales clerk respectfully handed the card back to him.
Mu Cidian took the card and held Lei Qian’s hand, "Let’s go."
Lei Qian gave him a slight smile, and they walked hand in hand out of the jewelry store.
The mont they left, Xin Zaozao was watching their departing figures.
She had a clear view of the entrance from her seat.
She watched as they intertwined their fingers.
"Xin Zaozao..." Song Lifei called her.
She turned around.
The mont she looked back, a tear dropped unexpectedly from her eye.
