The press conference was filled with chaos and confusion.

All the journalists were in a stir due to Yin Qin’s statents.

The reporters bombarded him with questions, "Mr. Chairman, are you protecting Ji Baixing?"

"If you don’t like Luo Xiaolang and yet you’re still with her, don’t you think that’s very unfair?"

"Don’t you think your actions are a bit excessive, Chairman Yin? You’re involved with Ji Baixing now, so what does that make of Luo Xiaolang?"

The commotion remained with people still beaning for Luo Xiaolang.

Yin Qin did not counter.

He had no intention of making excuses for himself.

"It’s my immature behavior that’s hurt Xiaolang, and brought so much harm to Baixin. I’m very sorry to them. I..." Yin Qin’s voice trailed off.

His voice choked up like he couldn’t find the words to go on.

The noisy crowd was all of a sudden quiet.

It felt like Chairman Yin was about to make a groundbreaking statent, so everyone was all ears.

Yin Qin began to speak. He spoke clearly into the microphone, "Baixin and I are getting married, on the 27th this month."

The room burst into uproar at that statent.

Everyone thought they may have heard wrong.

The reporters shouted out, directly addressing him by na, "Yin Qin, don’t you think this is too much? Even if you don’t like Luo Xiaolang, moving on to another woman so soon after destroying her marriage, don’t you think that’s really spineless?"

"You may not like Luo Xiaolang, but after all she gave birth to your child. You’re now blatantly disregarding her feelings just because Ji Baixing agreed to be with you. Don’t you think you’re despicable?"

"Yin Qin, I truly feel it’s a sha for Xiaolang being involved with you."

The press conference was filled with voices questioning and cursing him.

Yin Qin remained silent.

He stood up, gave the reporters a bow, then turned around and left the room.

Wu ili was waiting for him at the door.

Seeing his appearance, she swallows down the words "scum" that were on the tip of her tongue. The chairman didn’t seem happy at all. She even felt that, in that mont, he was just a lost boy, unsure of what to do and simply letting the situation deteriorate.

She suddenly realized that Yin Qin was not completely indifferent to Xiaolang’s pain; on the contrary, he felt guilty and upset.

In the end,

Could everything really be just as it appears on the surface?

The truth is,

The dia only sees the surface.

The news of Yin Qin and Ji Baixing’s upcoming marriage solidified Yin Qin’s reputation as a "jerk".

There were many people online condemning Yin Qin.

"Jerk!"

"Disgusting!"

"Filthy!"

"He’ll get his couppance one day."

"Xiaolang, we should not cry. We should be grateful that Yuan Qin didn’t marry you."

"Today he didn’t marry you, tomorrow he won’t be worth it. Xiaolang, we support you!"

In a short ti, everyone who had initially been blaming Ji Baixing started blaming Yin Qin instead.

Not only was Yin Qin criticized, his show "Hall of Heaven" was also collectively boycotted on the internet. Consequently, the audience ratings for the latest episode, the third to last, collapsed drastically. The number of people watching it online can be counted on one hand. Moreover, those who did watch it were cursed and ridiculed rcilessly online. This caused a lot of conflicting opinions, and even the fans of the cast mbers were blaming Yin Qin, demanding compensation for the tarnished reputation of their idols.

Yin Qin sat in a board eting.

All the board mbers wore dark expressions throughout the eting.

Trying to appease Yin Qin for a week, no, not even a week and look how things turned out now.

A spendthrift will always be a spendthrift. His power was only due to a stint of good luck. If the Milky Way Group falls into his hands in the future, it would surely be dood.

Yin Ying also attended the board eting that day.

She looked at Yin Qin sarcastically, curious to see how he would resolve things with the board.

"Chairman, why don’t you say sothing? Not only did the viewership of ’Hall of Heaven’ plumt again, and even lower than before, more importantly, the share price of the entire Milky Way Group is also falling. If this continues, will our Group go bankrupt?!"

Yin Qin lifted his head to look at the board mber speaking and said, "I will figure sothing out."

"What can you possibly co up with?!" Zhang Qiang was desperate, "For the sake of Ji Baixing, you’ve jeopardized your own business. What were you thinking? If Weng Cheng was here, he would never make this mistake!"

"Absolutely not." Other mbers of the board echoed, "If it was Weng Cheng, he would have never risked the livelihoods of thousands of employees of the Milky Way Group. Why don’t we collectively plead for Weng Cheng at the court? Considering it’s his first offense, he might avoid jail."

"Let’s go ask the court." The board mbers rallied.

Yin Ying chid in with a helpless tone, "Considering the severity of Weng Cheng’s cri, I didn’t originally intend to intervene. But seeing the current situation, if Yin Qin’s in charge of the company, I truly fear that all our funds will be drained. However, we appreciate your sentint. We’ve consulted a lawyer. The biggest victim is Yin Qin. Only with his forgiveness can Weng Cheng have a chance at a reduced sentence, or even probation, avoiding imdiate incarceration."

"Chairman, if you’re not interested in working, why not ask for Weng Cheng’s pardon. He was also confused temporarily, don’t take it to heart." Zhang Qiang proposed hastily.

Yin Qin looked up at him.

"Yes, if you don’t want to work, go back to your love life, go get married, and leave the work to those who need it. Don’t take up other people’s places here." Another board mber also chid in quickly.

Yin Qin suddenly stood up from his chair, stayed silent and left the room.

All the board mbers were shocked. After a mont, Zhang Qiang said with annoyance, "Is this Yin Qin’s attitude? This profligate child, the Milky Way Group would surely go down in his hands!"

"I’d rather hire a CEO than have Yin Qin in charge! Absolutely unacceptable!"

"If it’s not Weng Cheng, it absolutely must not be Yin Qin."

"Yes."

The conference room was filled with noisy chatter.

Yin Ying smirked at the corner of her mouth.

That little rat Yin Qin, it’s just as she suspected?!

Given the current viewership of "Hall of Heaven", the ultimate episode’s viewership wouldn’t possibly reach 2.

By then, she could take away Yin Qin’s 5% shares.

More importantly,

Her son really was smarter than her.

Ji Baixing was violated, and Yin Qin surely wouldn’t sit by idly. He also certainly wouldn’t reach out to law enforcent, exposing Ji Baixing’s violation would an making it public. In order to protect Ji Baixing, Yin Qin surely wouldn’t use legal ans. That being said, once Yin Qin makes a move, they could seize the opportunity to bring him down. Even if her son goes to jail, Yin Qin will have to follow!

With these thoughts in mind, Yin Ying cackled once more.

She was eagerly waiting for Yin Qin to dig his own grave.

...

Milky Way Group. Chairman’s office.

Yin Qin was dealing with paperwork.

He’s been working overti almost every day, nonstop overti.

Since the incident, no one was willing to help him anymore. Even many mbers of the project team had complaints or voiced grievances against him.

They complained that he disregarded their hard work entirely. They finally managed to raise viewership for "Hall of Heaven" after a lot of effort, but he ruthlessly said to destroy it and let it be destroyed, causing a lot of work to be pushed forward by Yin Qin himself, which was obviously difficult.

He picked up the phone, "Secretary Wu, make a cup of coffee, black coffee."

After saying that, he hung up the phone.

He leaned back in his seat.

It was now the early hours of the morning, but he didn’t want to leave the office.

He didn’t know what he could solve, he couldn’t think of a better way to deal with the current state of Yin He, or, he was just trying to avoid sothing!

The office door was pushed open.

Yin Qin sat up straight, his eyes on the computer in front of him, saying, "Just put it down."

The coffee was put beside him but the person did not leave.

Yin Qin turned his head.

The mont he turned his head, he saw Ji Baixing in front of him.

Yin Qin took his hands off the keyboard, "What are you doing here?"

"I’ve been here for a while now, wanting to wait for you to go back together, but I didn’t expect you didn’t seem to have the intention of going off work." Ji Baixing said.

"You could just call ."

"Would you co back if I called?" Ji Baixing asked.

Yin Qin didn’t answer.

"I’ve read the news. Yin He’s stock market has been falling heavily recently. If it continues like this, I’m afraid..." Ji Baixing didn’t finish his sentence.

Yin Qin also knew.

Now the whole na boycotts Yin He, boycotts the news of Yin He, boycotts the programs of Yin He, boycotts the video APP of Yin He, Yin He’s lost a lot during this ti. If it continues to deteriorate, it will soon declare bankruptcy!

"All of this was caused by your negative news. Actually, you’re not what the outside world says. Why don’t you clarify it properly?" Ji Baixin asked him.

"There’s nothing to clarify."

If it can’t be, he would just resign.

He said, "No need. It would be useless to clarify, no one would believe it."

"If Luo Xiaolang cos forward..."

"Baixin." Yin Qin looked at Ji Baixing.

Ji Baixing bit his lip.

"I don’t want to involve her in our matters anymore."

Ji Baixing was silent.

"Let’s go, staying here won’t solve any problem. I’ll accompany you ho." Yin Qin grabbed his suit jacket and left with Ji Baixing.

Wu ili watched as their backs disappeared into the distance, unable to suppress a sigh.

Is it worth it for a Ji Baixing?

She knew that sooner or later her chairman would be ruined by this woman.

They returned to Ji Baixing’s apartnt.

The two of them took separate showers and went to bed separately.

Yin Qin always slept on the sofa.

They weren’t married, but they were living together.

Living together, but not sleeping in the sa bed.

Ji Baixing wanted to speak up several tis, but Yin Qin had already lay down on the sofa with his blanket.

The truth is...

She also found it difficult to move past the shadow, she also found it difficult to get intimate with Yin Qin. Every ti she rembered what happened that night, it made her fearful and even terrified of anything happening in bed!

The next day.

Yin Qin left early in the morning.

Ji Baixing woke up to find that Yin Qin was gone.

There was a note left in the room, "I went to work first."

This happened several mornings.

She couldn’t even catch a glimpse of Yin Qin before he left.

She made herself breakfast, ate while listening to the news on the radio as was her habit.

"Currently, Yin He’s market share continues to decline, and the online boycott against Yin He is becoming increasingly heated. If this continues, Yin He is likely facing bankruptcy. Experts analyze that Yin He has two possible next moves. The first is to vigorously guard Weng Cheng and let him return to work at Yin He, but with the feud between Yin Qin and Weng Cheng, his return is highly unlikely; the second is for Yin Qin to resign and hire a new CEO to restructure Yin He. Regardless of which way is chosen, Yin Qin’s career at Yin He will co to a halt, and it will be even harder for Yin Qin to develop further in the future..."

Ji Baixing listened quietly.

When she’d finished eating, she washed up the dishes and turned off the radio.

Then, she picked up the phone and dialed a number.

The phone was finally answered after a long ti, "Hello."

"Xiaolang, it’s Baixin."

The other end of the line was silent for a mont.

Just as.

The sound of a baby crying ca from the other end.

"Are you busy?" Baixin asked.

"Little Tiger just woke up, crying for milk."

"I’ll find you later then, you take care of Little Tiger first."

"Hmm." Luo Xiaolang hung up the phone.

Ms. Wu was making powdered milk for Little Tiger while comforting him.

Luo Xiaolang hurried over, "Let do it."

Ms. Wu stopped and held Little Tiger.

It’s been five days.

There’s still no milk.

They tried many thods, did as the doctor instructed, even hired a milk boost therapist to help her, but nothing worked, there was no milk, it was gone completely.

Now, thankfully, Little Tiger has finally begun to slowly accept powdered milk.

Who knows how difficult this process has been!
