A vast office.

Xin Zaozao stood up from her office chair.

Even so, she was still shorter than Mu Cidian, but she felt that, at least, she hadn’t lost much in terms of presence.

She said, "Whether or not I need to be wary of you, you know it well. So what if you’re a man? So what if we share a bed? At least I won’t die in obscurity like my father."

"Xin Zaozao." Mu Cidian was fuming.

"See you at the board eting," Xin Zaozao dismissed him.

"Don’t make a fool of yourself!" he retorted and slamd out of the office.

Xin Zaozao watched his retreating figure.

She watched him shut the door, causing an unusual sound.

Xin Zaozao forcefully sat down on her office chair.

Embarrassnt?

Could there be anything more embarrassing than overhearing his conversation with his mother?

That kind of feeling... the feeling of being stabbed in the heart, the taste of humiliation from one’s self-righteousness being slapped down.

She could appear to be very indifferent.

She was grateful, her childhood temperant made her seemingly unaffected by anything.

She picked up the phone next to her, "Secretary Yan, please co in."

"Yes."

Xin Zaozao hung up the phone.

Yan Quan, her father’s private secretary, who had been with him for many years.

She had visited him over the weekend.

She didn’t know who else to turn to, so she gambled that he, as the one her father trusted most, would stand by her.

Yan Quan knocked and entered.

"Miss Xin."

"The board eting you helped arrange, is everything ready?"

"9:30, in 10 minutes."

"Good." Xin Zaozao nodded.

"Miss Xin," Yan Quan said cautiously, "this eting may not go smoothly."

"I know." Xin Zaozao said, "I’m prepared."

"Hmm." Yan Quan said no more.

So things, she would indeed have to face on her own.

Xin Zaozao took a deep breath and, with Yan Quan, headed towards the highest boardroom in the Xin Group building.

The tall entrance to the conference room.

Yan Quan turned towards her.

Xin Zaozao nodded.

Yan Quan opened the conference room door.

There was so discussion inside, but when they saw the door open, everyone quieted down.

Yan Quan bowed and respectfully gestured for Xin Zaozao to enter.

Today, Xin Zaozao wore a set of black professional attire, her hair tied neatly in a ponytail, light makeup, and a pair of graceful black stiletto heels.

She entered.

There were 12 other mbers of the board, including Mu Cidian.

In the vast boardroom, everyone was looking at her.

Xin Zaozao had done her howork on everyone, but at this mont, she suddenly couldn’t rember anyone, suffering from a bout of face-blindness.

She told herself, don’t panic.

She walked to the center of the room.

Her father held 41% of the shares in Xin Group, making him the overriding majority shareholder. The other directors held no more than 8% at most.

At this mont, Yan Quan stepped forward and introduced, "Xin Zaozao, the daughter of our forr chairman Xin He, inherits Mr. Xin’s 41% share of the Xin Group, making her the largest shareholder. According to our company rules, the largest shareholder serves as the chairman of the group. Everyone, please welco."

The eting room fell silent.

No one welcod her arrival.

Xin Zaozao had expected this.

Mu Cidian wouldn’t allow her to take this position so easily.

She was prepared for the worst.

Before she could open her mouth, one of the directors shouted, "Stop it, a silly girl chairing the group’s work? I really want to ask her if she’s done breastfeeding!"
