"Zhizhi’s up." Nie Wenzhi was incredibly friendly.
Song Zhizhi gave a faint smile.
Song Shan also put down his newspaper and addressed Song Zhizhi, "You should have breakfast first, and then co to my study. I have so things to discuss with you."
"Alright."
Song Zhizhi nodded.
She knew her father wasn’t quite satisfied with her recent performance.
After breakfast, Song Zhizhi sat in Song Shan’s study.
Song Shan said, "You’ve gained quite a bit of attention at the comrcial managent agency."
"I’m aware."
"I’ve always kept a low profile. Apart from the unpleasant incidents that have happened in our family previously and making occasional headline news for it, there have been hardly any confrontations with anyone else in the business and managent sectors. Are you aware that what you’re doing now could easily turn our family into a target?" Song Shan was straightforward and stern in his tone.
"I understand your worrie, Dad, but I have my reasons for doing this," Song Zhizhi said, "I t Mr. Ye the other day. He was not at all what I had imagined. I expected him to be an old man on his last legs, but he turned out to be full of energy, in good health, and incredibly sharp-minded. I don’t think he will wait until his demise to vacate his position."
Song Shan frowned, "What are you thinking of?"
"Although I’ve only t Mr. Ye once, I could strongly sense his sharpness as a businessman and his domineering aura as a leader. He’s not soone to let things slide, so he would definitely not neglect the foundation that the Ye Family has built over centuries! I’m convinced, he will personally choose his successor. And since he will be making the choice himself, naturally, the most capable person will be chosen. Dad, we must show our ttle at this ti, otherwise Mr. Ye won’t notice our Song Family."
Song Shan remained silent without giving an imdiate confirmation.
"Your concern is simply that you’re afraid other families will gang up and attack us? I’ve also considered this.
