A quiet room.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

Xin Zaozao’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.

Luo Xiaolang rose to open the door.

Standing at the door was Wu Qianyuan.

Xin Zaozao signaled to Luo Xiaolang to let her in.

Wu Qianyuan looked at Xin Zaozao and gave a shallow smile, "Zaozao, can I talk to you?"

Xin Zaozao closed her laptop, her deanor distant, and responded, "What do you want to talk about?"

"I know that your relationship with mum and Cidian is not very good. But no matter what, even though uncle has passed away, we’re still a family. Mum was probably too emotional that day, you should just let it go, should you not?" she asked, with the sweetness that would likely dazzle any man.

But Xin Zaozao was not a man, and thus unmoved.

Wu Qianyuan felt sowhat awkward, growing up spoiled, she had never been disregarded like this.

The next mont, she self-assuredly gave herself an out, forcibly reaching out for Xin Zaozao’s hand, her voice that sa sugary tone, she affectionately called her, "Zaozao."

Xin Zaozao was not accustod to other people’s touch, so she pulled away.

Wu Qianyuan paused, then nonchalantly said, "Don’t be angry, I apologize on behalf of mother and Cidian. I promise they will be kind to you from now on. If you want to live in this house, you can stay. No one is going to drive you out."

In that mont, Xin Zaozao laughed.

Her laugh was quite cold.

Wu Qianyuan watched her, frowning.

Xin Zaozao said, "It seems you’ve forgotten, this is my house. Whether or not I live here is not up to you, your mother, or your husband."

Wu Qianyuan was taken aback, she didn’t expect Xin Zaozao would say sothing like that.

She had always thought Zaozao was just reclusive, but she realized now, her character was actually quite bad.

No wonder her mother and Cidian didn’t like her.

"You better mind your own business when it cos to Wan Quan, Mu Cidian and ." Xin Zaozao’s words were clear and precise, "You would be better off keeping a closer eye on your Mu Cidian."

"What do you an?" Wu Qianyuan frowned.

"You’ll understand in ti." Xin Zaozao was cold.

Wu Qianyuan stared at Xin Zaozao.

Xin Zaozao indicated it was ti for her to leave, "Xiaolang, see the guest out."

"Zaozao, I hope you can be more magnanimous. After all, Mum is the elder, what harm is it for the younger to endure a little grievance once in a while?" Wu Qianyuan continued to urge, not easily admitting defeat, "Your father has passed away, in this family, it is naturally mum who is the head of the household..."

Xin Zaozao truly did not want to squabble with Wu Qianyuan.

To her, Wu Qianyuan hadn’t really offended her, there was no need to take out her anger on her.

But at this mont, she didn’t like much Wu Qianyuan playing the good person card.

She coldly interrupted Wu Qianyuan’s words, "I’m not familiar with you."

Wu Qianyuan’s face changed slightly.

"So, don’t call Zaozao." Xin Zaozao was very aloof, "Please call by my full na."

Wu Qianyuan bit her lip.

Perhaps she had never been outright rejected like this before, so she had difficulty accepting it.

Xin Zaozao’s gaze shifted slightly, and once again she said to Luo Xiaolang, "See the guest out."

When she finished speaking.

Wu Qianyuan watched as a woman much taller than herself moved towards her, then sowhat rudely, took her arm and thrust her out of Xin Zaozao’s room.

Wu Qianyuan, having grown accustod to the life of a wealthy young lady, had never suffered such an indignity. She couldn’t help but feel tears welling up in her eyes.

She regretted her actions, ddling where she had no business.

Xin Zaozao should have been swept out of the house, should have been left alone, should have been destined for a life of solitude!
