Chapter 42: Chapter 42 Ji Baijian’s Surprise 2 Romantic Proposal
On the luxury yacht.
After hours of ticulous preparation, Song Zhizhi had put on a champagne-colored, diamond-studded evening gown. The long dress hugged her body and flared out at the waist, accentuating her svelte and curvaceous figure. The contouring was so perfect that it seed to fra her like a goddess among mortals.
At the sa ti, Song Zhizhi had applied a make-up that was slightly bold yet not vulgar. Her fair skin, rosy lips, white teeth, and long, wavy chestnut hair spilled over one shoulder, set off by a pair of heart-shaped diamond earrings that accentuated her beauty. Against the reflection in the full-length vanity mirror, Song Zhizhi gave a soft smile...a radiance as dazzling as the stars.
"My brother indeed has good taste," a female voice echoed from behind.
In the mirror, Song Zhizhi saw Ji Baixin who was dressed casually in a sowhat professional, relaxed won’s suit. With her hair in a ponytail, she looked capable and elegant.
"Do you an he picked out this dress?" asked Song Zhizhi, looking down at the sparkling gown on her body. Under the light, it indeed looked dreamily beautiful.
"Not just that," Ji Baixin smiled, "You are beautiful yourself."
Song Zhizhi blushed, sowhat shy from the sudden complint from soone she was not very familiar with.
Ji Baixin did not say much else and simply told Song Zhizhi, "My brother said they are all waiting for you once you’ve finished getting ready."
"Alright," Song Zhizhi nodded.
Although she didn’t fully understand why Ji Baijian would put so much effort into her today, she... enjoyed it.
As she followed Ji Baixin out of the dressing room, the night had already fallen. The luxury yacht’s beautiful lighting stood out distinctly on the vast horizon of the sea.
The mont Song Zhizhi appeared, all the lights on the yacht suddenly went off, leaving only the spotlight under her feet, making her shine brilliantly in the darkness.
She swallowed, looking straight ahead where a light suddenly ca on, illuminating Ji Baijian.
Ji Baijian was dressed differently from earlier. He wore a black suit with a gray tie, glossy leather shoes, and his hair was customarily short. Under the light, his facial contour appeared even more distinct, his physique was upright, and a light smile tugged at the corner of his mouth; he was strikingly handso.
At that mont, Song Zhizhi’s heart started racing.
She stood there, her hair drifting in the breeze, looking enticing and bewitching.
With long strides, Ji Baijian walked towards her.
The two of them were so close it seed as if they were the only ones left in the world.

Suddenly, it felt like they were floating on cloud nine. Romance, indeed, could be quite alluring.
Song Zhizhi barely parted her lips and although she was wearing eight-centiter heels, she still felt the need to look up at Ji Baijian.

Song Zhizhi was astonished as she watched him pull an exquisite box from his pocket. When he opened it, a brilliant diamond glowed in the light.
So... Ji Baijian’s actions today were all for a proposal. She had assud that his spontaneous contemplations were rely for the sake of adding a romantic touch to their date.
"Marry ." Ji Baijian lifted the ring, his voice was incredibly sincere with every word.
Song Zhizhi looked at him and then at the diamond ring.
Was there any reason for her to refuse?
