Chapter 39: He’s Ashad That He’s An Old VirginEditor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Ji Baijian sent Song Zhizhi back ho and had the driver drive straight back to the Ji family villa.

Yin Qin said, "You should have sent

back first. My place is closer. You’re just increasing Uncle Wang’s workload for no reason."

"I’m not," Ji Baijian said, "You can get off work now, Uncle Wang. Yin Qin will take a taxi back."

"Ji Baijian, is this how you treat your friend now that you have a girlfriend?!" yelled Yin Qin.

"Yup, that’s right," Ji Baijian said no more and got out of the car.

He dragged Yin Qin out as well.

Yin Qin stared at him resentfully.

"Next ti, don’t listen in on what you’re not supposed to," Ji Baijian dropped these words before walking into the villa.

Yin Qin gritted his teeth.

The sly old fox, Ji Baijian, would always get his revenge.

Yin Qin turned around indignantly.

When he did, he happened to see Ji Baixin who was coming down from another black car.

Their eyes t.

Ji Baixin averted her gaze, walked past Yin Qin and headed straight for the villa.

"Ji Baixin," Yin Qin suddenly called out to her.

Ji Baixin halted her steps.

"What do you take

for?" asked Yin Qin.

He was not in a good mood today, so...he kind of wanted to be unreasonable.

Ji Baixin paused for a mont before she replied, "As I’ve told you before, the marriage agreent between us is only made by our elders. It can be called off at any ti."

Yin Qin sneered.

Ji Baixin did not care how he felt, "It’s getting late, Mr. Yin. Goodbye."

The mont she started walking again, Yin Qin grabbed ahold of her.

Ji Baixin frowned.

Yin Qin suddenly pulled Ji Baixin into his embrace, and before Ji Baixin could resist, he kissed her on the lips.

Ji Baixin was stunned. The next second, she fiercely resisted.

The two of them were in a tangle. Ji Baixin broke away.

After she broke away, she kept wiping her mouth with a disgusted look on her face.

But Yin Qin looked like he did not care. He said with a smirk, "You dislike

so much, Miss Ji? Seriously, that guy has long lost interest in you, am I right?"

Ji Baixin glared at him, her eyes a little red.

Yin Qin said, "You moved in to live with another man as soon as you beca an adult, and after he’s tired playing with you and dump you, you ca back with your tail between your legs. Stop pretending you’re so high and mighty. If not for your brother’s sake, I wouldn’t want to pick up tattered goods like you."

Ji Baixin did not say anything – not one word. She rely turned around and left.

Yin Qin just stared at Ji Baixin’s back.

The heart was inexplicably painful.

Ji Baixin, I don’t know how much longer I can wait for you!

Even soone as nitpicky as Ji Baijian had lost his virginity. And yet, Yin Qin was still an old virgin. He felt ashad of himself.

...

In the Xin family villa, the lights were bright.

After sending off the guests, the entire Xin family returned ho. They were all very tired, so after saying good night, they each went back to their respective room.

Xin Zaozao actually did not want to stay so late, but out of manners, and in order to not cause unnecessary trouble, she stayed with them until now. She was exhausted. Her entire body felt like it was screaming at her, even though she did not help out much in the engagent party.

She went back to her room, took a shower, and had the maid prepare a glass of warm milk for her.

She thought to herself, who else in this world would be nice to her but herself.

She carried the milk to the balcony outside, intending to relax in the cool breeze.

She had just sat down in a comfortable position and started to slowly sip the milk in small amounts when she heard...ambiguous-sounding cries coming from the room next door.

She smiled in ridicule.

She had almost forgotten that tonight was the first night for the newlyweds, Mu Cidian and Wu Qianyuan.

Of course there would be so actions.

In truth, in high society, the so-called engagent was just a legitimate excuse to let a couple cohabitate as a sort of trial period for their marriage. If, after six months, there was no major conflict between them, they would officially hold a wedding. Another unwritten rule was that engaged couples would usually get pregnant in advance before their weddings. This was in order to protect the interests of both sides. For high society, passing on the family na was very important.

Xin Zaozao finished her milk in one go, then turned around and went back into her room. She closed the French window and locked it.

Fortunately, the sound insulation was good, so nothing could be heard anymore.

At this mont, in the next room.

Mu Cidian were together with Wu Qianyuan.

Wu Qianyuan said in a gentle voice, "Both your parents and mine want

to get pregnant as quickly as possible, Cidian."

"There’s no rush," said Mu Cidian, "We’re both still young. We can talk about this later."

"But..."

"Be a good girl and go to sleep," Mu Cidian lowered his head and kissed her forehead, "You must be exhausted tonight."

"Okay," Wu Qianyuan blushed furiously.

However, Mu Cidian did not lie down to sleep. He climbed out of bed and casually wrapped a white bath towel around himself.

"Cidian, where are you going?"

"I’m going to have a cigarette at the balcony. You sleep first."

Wu Qianyuan was a little disappointed.

Mu Cidian paid no mind to Wu Qianyuan’s emotion. He went straight to the balcony and lit a cigarette. The smoke lingered, then disappeared in front of him.

He turned to look at the room next door. The balcony window there was locked tight, and the curtains were tightly shut.

Mu Cidian looked back, took a deep breath, and forcefully put out the cigarette.

The next day.

Xin Zaozao woke up feeling refreshed.

She thought last night would be a sleepless night for her, but it was not so. Now that she thought about it, there really was nothing that ti could not wash away.

She went downstairs. In the living room, Mu Cidian and Wu Qianyuan were serving tea to the elders (TL: Chinese custom for newlyweds). Xin Zaozao sat unobtrusively on the sofa to one side, watching them.

Xin He gave them a big red envelope, and so did Wang Tsuen. She was smiling from to ear to ear. The newlywed couple got up from the floor. Wang Tsuen called a maid over and handed a bowl of soup to Wu Qianyuan. She smiled and said, "Cidian had the servants prepare this red sweet soup specifically for you. It replenishes blood. You’ve worked hard last night. Here, drink it, it’s good for a woman."

Wu Qianyuan shyly took it, "Thank you, Mom."

She looked back at Mu Cidian, her eyes filled with happiness.

Xin Zaozao did not check what expression Mu Cidian had on his face. What ca to her mind was her first ti when she was 18. It was agonizingly painful, both to her body and her heart.

Her throat bulged slightly. She got up and silently left the living room.

In this ho, did anyone even care if she existed or not? Even if she left at this very mont, no one would notice.

Mu Cidian’s pupils trembled slightly, unbeknownst to anyone.

Xin Zaozao returned to her room and lay down on the bed.

Only 3 days left. She would be leaving in 3 days. After this... After this, who knew if she would even co back anymore.

While she was lost in thought, soone knocked on her door.

Xin Zaozao was irritated, but she still got up to open it.

At first, she thought it might be Mu Cidian. After all, her brother in na would co to find her more often than anyone else, even though... it was not with good intentions.

But to her surprise, she discovered that it was her father standing outside.

But it made sense. Mu Cidian would never knock when he ca to her room.

She looked at her father, and he looked back at her. Although she grew up with her father, at this mont, he felt so unfamiliar to her.

Xin Zaozao barely managed to force a smile. "Dad."
