At this point, the players who had watched this grand spectacle all wore expressions of complete satisfaction.
For the first ti ever, the ultimate test incorporated 100 people, and these 100 players indeed did not disappoint.
They fulfilled the wishes of two historical figures.
First, they completed Yu Jiaxuan’s wish to train the Flying Tiger Army, sweep away the Jin soldiers, and reclaim the Northern Land.
Next, by massively possessing mid-level officials with players, they experinted with what would happen if every mid-level official in the country were Wang Wenchuan and how reform developnt would unfold.
There was also one more thing, through the ga chanics of this historical fragnt, players achieved the developnt of flintlock guns and successfully trained an army adept in the firing squad tactic.
These three points made all players who participated in this historical fragnt feel proud.
Especially concerning the developnt of flintlock firearms and new artillery, which influenced not just this historical fragnt but also all future Return Order Expeditions.
Previously, players had not been able to make such technological leaps because the ti in the historical fragnt was too rigid, and there were not enough players entering.
The three or five players carefully selected were either proficient in martial arts or in civil governance, with very few having a special understanding of the technology tree. Moreover, with each player having their duties, they lacked the spare energy to climb the tech tree.
But this ti was different.
With the span of the entire historical fragnt reaching ten years, after Cui Huowang traveled back to beco the Minister of the Ministry of Industry, he could directly provide design drawings and use the entire strength of the Qi Dynasty to climb the technology tree.
Wang Wenchuan’s reforms provided a wealth of resources.
The complete possession from the Emperor to the ministers and then to each grassroots official also ensured the smooth completion of this technological revolution.
This was much more convenient than Cui Huowang laboriously hand-crafting gun barrels in his own fief.
Moreover, in the ga chanics of the Return Order Expedition, players could directly obtain all the weapons from previous historical fragnts.
This also ant that once the Qi Dynasty developed flintlock guns, players could naturally be equipped with flintlock firearms for battle.
In this instance, only the natives of the Qi Dynasty within this historical fragnt used flintlock guns in combat against the Flying Tiger Army.
However, after ten years of training under Li Hongyun, they also mastered this tactic very well.
In fact, the reason why flintlock guns could supersede the knight class was not only due to their power but also another crucial aspect: their cost.
Once the technology for flintlock guns matured, the cost of manufacturing a gun was lower than that of a bow and arrow; the cost and carrying capacity of bullets also completely surpassed arrows; and when it ca to training costs, it was a total rout, vastly cheaper.
To train an excellent archer required at least two to three years, and archers needed to be physically exceptional—ordinary soldiers lacked the strength to draw a strong bow and could not be an effective fighting force.
But an ordinary soldier rely had to be proficient in carrying out all the tactical movents with a flintlock rifle, staying calm and in formation without running around, to be considered qualified.
A peasant with a flintlock rifle could easily disable a heavily armored cavalry soldier, whose cost was dozens or even hundreds of tis that of the peasant with the rifle.
So, the players were all sowhat looking forward to encountering demons in the next Return Order Expedition.
By then, the players’ fearless traits would be further leveraged, and they would outperform the flintlock-ard Flying Tiger Army; and when possessed by demons, although the armored priests and Kidnapper Cavalry might beco fearless, when facing flintlock guns, their fearlessness could turn into a significant disadvantage.
Finally, as General Yu Jiaxuan led the heavy cavalry of the Flying Tiger Army, pursuing the Jin soldiers until they fled in utter disarray, the entire historical fragnt gradually solidified.
The players remained in an active state, but seeing statesn like Wen Jun rigidly frozen in place, they gradually realized sothing.
"Has the ultimate test been passed?"
"It was that simple?"
"I feel like it’s not enough..."
Among these, only a few players like Chu Ge and Zhao Haiping had participated in the ultimate test, so most players were witnessing the scene of passing an ultimate test instance for the first ti.
These players gradually left the roles they were playing, and like souls, freely moved through this historical fragnt.
At the sa ti, all their negative statuses were also eliminated by the special powers of the Return Order, returning them to the original state upon entering the historical fragnt.
Of course, the vast majority of players did not have any negative status to begin with, as their roles were civil officials. Upon reaching Niu Zhu Pier, they sat in the elevated tents eating fruit and singing, and just like that, the ultimate test was over.
Only a few officers playing military generals like Zhao Haiping and Fan Cun sustained so minor injuries during the later battles, and these too were completely healed.
Imdiately afterward, everything around them began to reverse!
A single complete, imnse historical fragnt began to show faint signs of tearing from the center.
The locations of Yu Jiaxuan and Wang Wenchuan seed to beco the central points of two massive historical fragnts, beginning to repel each other.
Apart from that, there were other contents from historical fragnts not belonging to either Yu Jiaxuan or Wang Wenchuan that remained in place.
