"They’re playing dirty again!"

Players watched the approaching enormous barbarian soldiers with a sense of helplessness.

Near the West City Gate, all the players had already witnessed the power of these enormous barbarian soldiers, who had successfully breached the gate with just one Chiliarch, infused with the force of thousands of demons.

Although the players had managed to kill this enlarged Chiliarch, it was mainly due to the Sky Shattering Bombs they had planted in advance and the fierce burning oil poured from above.

Now that the Sky Shattering Bombs were nearly exhausted, how could the players, with their mortal bodies, combat these enormous barbarian soldiers?

Toe cut?

While that thod might work in other gas, it clearly wouldn’t here.

These enormous demons were suffused with more Demonic Qi, so common cold weapons inflicted only negligible wounds on them.

In other gas, you could toe cut because rolling had invincibility fras that could be exploited to dodge giant attacks. But "Dark Sand" was an ultra-realistic ga, without such invincibility-fra chanics. If you couldn’t dodge, you simply couldn’t.

When these enormous barbarian soldiers charged over, how many deaths would it take the players to kill just one?

Just then, there was a commotion among the players at the rear, followed by exuberant cheers.

Zhao Haiping and Chu Ge turned around and saw Beichen, who had been in the City Lord Mansion the entire ti, stepping out!

"So we’ve reached the final cutscene stage already?

"Aren’t we a bit too early? Moreover, the most powerful demon hasn’t appeared yet?"

The players looked at Beichen, thinking that this heroic NPC was finally going to make a move and reap the rewards.

Beichen slowly raised his hand.

"The world harbors Righteous Qi, taking form in myriad ways!"

The power of the Restorers within the players was all withdrawn, converging in his hand.

The entire historical slice began to shake rumblingly, as the invisible stars in the sky and the mountains, rivers, and streams on the ground seed to gather in the imnse Righteous Qi, swirling around Beichen!

But just when all players thought Beichen was about to act himself and deal with the demons, he did not step into the air as before. Instead, he raised his hands high, and the powerful Righteous Qi gathered and was transferred onto different players!

"Whether it’s drafting a morial for Departure, even ghosts weep for the brave; or as a pole to cross the river, courage engulfs the foreign tribes..."

With Beichen’s singing, the Righteous Qi fell like teors, entering the bodies of several players.

Then to their surprise, they found their bodies also swelling, becoming as huge as the barbarians!

Not only that, their weapons and armor also grew large, and were covered with abundant Righteous Qi, making each attack inflict additional damage.

The players suddenly saw the light, "So that’s how it is!"

The most powerful demon had yet to appear, and of course, Beichen couldn’t launch his final attack.

However, he could gather the power of the Restorers within the players and distribute it to a few of them, allowing them to defeat these enormous barbarians.

And those selected, like Fan Cun, Zhao Haiping, Li Hongyun, and so on, were all players who had perford excellently in this battle.

Based on the number of enemies they slew and their Contribution Value, those ranked higher could get this precious opportunity.

The aning of this Righteous Qi Song was that Righteous Qi has different manifestations, and historical heroes were those who beca immortalized for harnessing this Righteous Qi.

At this mont, the power of the Restorers was focused on these excellent players because they were outstanding representatives, similar to historical heroes, capable of maximizing the effect of the Righteous Qi.

The battle between demons and Restorers seed more like a result of both sides constantly probing and escalating.

The first stage was to attack with ordinary barbarian soldiers, the second stage with enlarged demons, and the final stage was for demons to gather all the Demonic Qi for a deadly fight.

For both demons and Restorers, whoever advanced to the next stage first would find themselves at a disadvantage.

Now, it was clearly the Restorers holding the initiative on the battlefield.

"Charge!"

Fan Cun couldn’t wait any longer. His body beca imnsely large, about five or six ters tall, as he charged out of the main gate, his hands gripping a spear to et a barbarian soldier head-on.

The other selected players quickly followed suit, engaging in intense combat with the giant barbarians!

The rest of the players climbed onto the city walls to watch the battle from a distance.

"Brother Hai Ping is fierce! It feels like his combat power has jumped significantly since he got that saber."

"Fan Cun is pretty amazing too. He’s the purest of soldiers, like a warrior who could take on a thousand enemies in ancient tis."

"Watching Boss Huo wield his sword is such a pleasure, truly a sight to behold."

"Li Hongyun really hit the jackpot. Even at that distance, his musket shots hit their target, and the power is comparable to cannon fire now..."

"Dammit, if I’d known there was a chance like this, I would have been more proactive in bravely fighting the enemies from the start!"

Many players regretted not being more vigorous from the beginning. If they had fought a little harder, taken down a few more barbarians, they might have had the chance to transform into historical heroes and battle the giant demons.

Imagine performing in front of tens of thousands of players, how thrilling!

These selected players were the elite of the elite, each with exceptional combat skills. Though the barbarian soldiers had grown large with the empowernt of demonic force, their combat skills had not improved at all.

Under the attacks of the players, they quickly fell back, completely overwheld.

Li Hongyun, from the rear, calmly reloaded and fired his musket.

After growing larger, the musket in his hands was like a cannon, its bullets enhanced with Righteous Qi, dealing heavy blows to the demons with each shot.

Finally, as these enlarged barbarian soldiers retreated in successive defeat, unable to fight any longer, the demons finally lost their patience.

Dark and heavy clouds churned in the sky, as if brewing a violent storm.

Then, all of the demonic force within the barbarian soldiers was suddenly drawn out, converging into the sky, and gradually forming a vast vortex!

And the remaining barbarian soldiers dried up and withered, eventually leaving only their armor, which clattered to the ground.

Clearly, continuing as now, the Demon only had one possible outco: defeat.

Whether it was attacking the city with ordinary barbarian troops or pitting giant demon barbarians against the elite players, the Demon failed in every respect.

Therefore, it could only concentrate all its Demonic Qi and risk everything on one last bet.

Beichen had been waiting for just this mont.

As the black vortex in the sky kept expanding, Beichen finally found the perfect mont to strike.

Once again, he tread the air as if walking on the wind, slowly moving above the Order Restorers’ fortress and then raising his hand to gather all the Order Restorers’ strength back into himself.

The players’ strength was instantly extracted, putting them into a spectator state.

"Here it cos, the final clash!"

"In Ancient Tis, a clash... who was it that lost again?"

"Eh, who cares, we’re players after all, and since when do players lose after a cutscene CG?"

The players all looked up expectantly towards the sky.

Powerful Demonic Qi fell from the black vortex above, while from Beichen’s side, boundless Righteous Qi clashed against the Demonic Qi!

The two forces kept colliding and sawing against each other, making it hard for even the players to keep their eyes open.

Finally, the Demon’s power began to wane, gradually dissipating under the constant onslaught of Righteous Qi.

The column of light pierced the black vortex in the sky, dispersing the Demonic Qi!

Beichen clenched his right hand violently, and countless streams of Righteous Qi slashed through the scattering Demonic Qi in the heavens.

Eradicating evil was a simple principle.

Yet, a formidable strand of Demonic Qi forcefully broke through the blockade of Righteous Qi, escaping into the ti-space turbulence beyond the historical slice.

Beichen’s brow furrowed slightly, as he spurred on even more Righteous Qi to contain it.

This Demonic Qi, however, was both eerily resilient and tough, repeatedly sustaining heavy blows from the Righteous Qi, but still managing to break past the limit of Righteous Qi’s reach and retreated into the ti-space turbulence.

In the end, a deep and murky voice faintly reached their ears.

"Order Restorer, you’ve won this ti...

"But we shall et again soon..."

ng Yuan’s brows knitted slightly.

Beichen was his avatar; therefore, what Beichen heard, he could hear as well.

He felt a hint of regret at not having thoroughly eliminated the threat.

The voice of Chilian reached his ears again: "It appears that this ti the Demon was far stronger than we had imagined.

"Lucky for us, we won.

"However, the Demons will gradually gather information about us, and future battles are sure to beco even tougher."

ng Yuan nodded, saying nothing.

This was an inevitable situation.

As an Order Restorer, he currently couldn’t ensure the elimination of all Demons in each battle, there would always be one or two strong Demons that slipped through the net.

And once the Demons had learned of this Order Restorer’s changed fighting style, they would certainly co up with new thods to counteract.

Future battles might indeed beco more challenging.

But ng Yuan wasn’t the least bit anxious because no matter how many tricks the Demons ca up with, the players would always stay one step ahead.

"Look, the sun is coming out!"

The players all looked up to find that the dark clouds that had been covering the sky had all dispersed, and the entire historical slice had returned to its normal state.

After this passionate national war, a white mist began to form in the players’ vision, aning they were about to wake up in the real world.

The players felt a bit reluctant to leave.

"See you on the forum, everyone!"

"I can hardly wait to watch the recording of this."

"And there’s still the movie of the top players clearing the ultimate trial, wonder if it will get a speedy release this ti?"

Soon, the players disappeared from the historical slice.

And with the Demon from this historical slice eradicated, the Demonic Qi that had affected a few people in the real world also dissolved into nothingness.

Chilian appeared before ng Yuan.

"The results are in.

"There were indeed so people in the real world secretly influenced by the Demons, a total of 17 people.

"However, the Demons’ influence on them was quite weak, just a subtle shift in their ntal state, and those with originally twisted thoughts were more susceptible to influence.

"Now, the Demons’ influence should have been completely eradicated."

ng Yuan asked, "What about Su Chengbai?"

Chilian shook his head slightly: "He wasn’t influenced. It seems he just has so issues with his thinking."

ng Yuan was montarily speechless but then said, "Well, at least this incident has deterred a group of people like Su Chengbai.

"As we continue to correct historical slices and move toward Ancient Tis, the Demons’ influence on the real world will surely wane and eventually approach zero.

"For now, the real world is safe."

Chilian nodded, "Then, it’s ti to start preparing to absorb the power contained within this historical slice!"
