"Ricar... Ricar... Ricar!" Beatrix shouted as she shook his body, but there was no response. She could still feel just remnants of Qi coming off from his body, yet it was continuously fading away. Tears were rolling down her face uncontrollably as they dropped onto Ricar's lifeless body.

She had faced hard tis with Ricar, who had always been tough on her. He had guided her in the way of the Light Faction, taking up the responsibility of looking after her when her father and mother had passed fighting against the Demonic Faction.

He had pushed all of her anger down and turned it into a calm peace. The closest man in her life was this one. Maybe he hadn't felt the sa way, as Ricar had many disciples and countless others within the clan that he needed to look after.

Perhaps his treatnt wasn't unique, and he had treated many others the sa as he treated Beatrix. But to her, it was a lifeline, soone to follow. She rembered the days she worked tirelessly, showing her swordsmanship and aiding the Dawnblade Clan in achieving their goals.

Many of the things she did were because she wanted to hear Ricar's words-the words that he was proud of her. She had heard those words many tis, and they continued to drive her forward.

Eventually, Beatrix had started to grow into her own person, but it was all thanks to the thoughts and teachings instilled in her by Ricar. She rembered one phrase he had spoken to her very well:

"If everyone in the world were like you, Pagna would be a far better place than it is now."

Thinking of all these mories, all of the tis she had spent with Ricar, not just the good but even the bad, she even wanted him to scold her if she could. All of it was too much and made her heart ache even more as she realized she would never be able to hear those words again.

Gently, she laid Ricar on the ground, saddened by the thought that this might be his final resting place. Then her eyes landed on the strange book-like object in her hand, along with the Golden Globe.

'This book... it was what you took in your darkest mont. It makes wonder why you chose to take it back then,' Beatrix thought. 'And now, you've passed the burden of this artifact onto . What did you want to do with it? Why give it to ?'

She turned her head, glancing into the vast wasteland, before looking toward where Impress had been struck. A powerful strike had been delivered by Ricar, using a massive amount of Qi, but Beatrix could tell, upon reflection, that his footing had been wrong.

With the sword already impaled in his chest, it had been impossible for Ricar to step in properly while throwing his strike, to draw the full power necessary to complete the move. As expected, Impress, who had been hit away, was no longer there.

Small patches of her blood stained the ground, but Impress's body was gone. Beatrix imagined that as soon as Impress had risen, hurt by the attack, she had decided to flee.

'In this situation now, with Ricar gone, if I return to the clan, I'll have no one to protect ,' Beatrix thought. 'I'm a new Elder in the clan, and Impress has been part of the Dawnblade Clan for a long ti. They'll believe her word over mine.'

'She might even claim I was the one who killed Ricar.'

It was painful for her to think about, but returning to the clan after this would cause countless problems. She wasn't even certain of the current state of the Light Faction Clan. Without the Golden Globe, their relationship with Alter would surely be ruined.

Regardless, the safest thing to assu now was that the Light Faction and her clan would treat her as a complete enemy.

Thinking about this situation, she couldn't deny it-she was beginning to regret her actions.

'Did I make the wrong decision? Because of what I did, Ricar has ended up like this. Because of , because of my stubbornness to do what I felt was right, the situation has turned out like this.'

Not only had a life been lost, but her own life had been completely shattered. Perhaps even the synergy of the entire Light Faction had been broken. The issue was that she had acted on a hunch—a feeling that if Alter or others gained possession of the Golden Globe, it would be disastrous for all of Pagna.

However, it wasn't a fact. It was only her guess. Alter claid to be a group that kept artifacts from being misused by the world. Maybe that was true, and they simply wanted to prevent everyone from using it.

Or perhaps everything they had witnessed today-from the Dark Faction's founder, Raze's words, and those who stood beside him-held the real truth.

She wondered why all this responsibility had to fall onto her. In so ways, she wished she had never been entrusted with the Golden Globe in the first place.

'Ricar... What would you have said to ? Do you think I made the right choice?' she

wondered. But in Ricar's last monts, perhaps he still believed in Beatrix.

Which was why he had stood in front of her, placing himself between her and Impress, willing to protect her.

'He trusted more than I trust myself right now,' Beatrix thought.

Her hands were trembling, and she could see the dust on the ground shifting. Large, heavy winds continued to hit her as Qi flowed through her body. Turning her head to the right, she could see the Dark Magus and Mosak still clashing with each other.

There still hadn't been a victor in their fight.

"Dark Magus, I hope I wasn't wrong about you," Beatrix muttered.
