Guys I just edited the two Chapters I posted that were not linked to the story, it was a mistake on my path, I got confused.
Enzo’s POV
The knock on my door was hesitant but firm. I knew who it was before I even opened it, but that didn’t make facing him any easier. My chest tightened as I hesitated, my fingers curling around the doorknob. Finally, I exhaled sharply and pulled it open.
"Are you okay, Enzo?" Dr. Olivier’s voice was filled with concern, his dark eyes scanning my face. "I’ve been trying to call you since last night. Why did you leave the hospital without ? I was supposed to take you ho, right?"
I stepped aside, barely eting his gaze. "Co in, Doc."
As soon as he entered, he wrapped his arms around in a tight embrace. The warmth of his body, the familiar scent of antiseptic and citrus, made my stomach clench with guilt.
"I was so worried about you," he murmured against my shoulder.
I swallowed the lump in my throat. "I’m sorry for leaving without you. Sothing ca up."
He pulled back slightly, his hands gripping my shoulders. "And your phone?"
"I must have left it on silent. I’m sorry," I muttered, avoiding his gaze.
He reached for , his lips angling for a kiss, but I took a step back. His brows furrowed in confusion. "We have to talk, Doc."
His expression shifted from confusion to concern. "What’s wrong? Did sothing happen?"
He moved closer, but I instinctively stepped away again. My throat was dry, the words sticking to my tongue like glue. Turning swiftly, I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a glass of water, hoping it would calm my nerves.
"Babe, are you okay?" His voice was soft, filled with the kind of affection that made this even harder.
My grip tightened around the glass. "Doc, I think we should break up."
The room fell into a suffocating silence. Olivier just stood there, his face unreadable, as if his brain was still trying to process my words.
Finally, he spoke. "I... What?"
I took a shaky breath. "I know this ca out of nowhere, but... I just can’t continue. Yesterday, the nurses were talking about us. They think I’m using you, that I’m playing coy to get things from you. They said the only reason you’re with is because you pity ." My voice cracked, and despite my best efforts, tears welled in my eyes. "I’ve never been able to hold my tears," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.
Olivier’s eyes darkened. "But you know that’s not true. I’m with you because I want to be. Because I love you."
He reached for again, but I stepped back, shaking my head. "It doesn’t matter, Doc. Even if you want to be with , people will always think otherwise. You don’t even..." I hesitated, wiping my tears harshly. "You don’t even look gay."
His lips curled in a humorless smile. "Oh, so there’s a specific look now? Good to know. Do you even hear yourself, Enzo?" His voice sharpened. "Your real problem is that you run away. You never face anything head-on. That’s why you ran from your father when he found out you were gay—"
The slap ca before I could stop it. My palm stung, but his words had cut deeper.
"How dare you?" I whispered, my entire body trembling. "You know that topic is too sensitive for ."
He exhaled sharply, rubbing his jaw. "Enzo—"
"Do you want to know the real reason I want to break up?" I forced myself to look him in the eye. "I cheated on you. I fucking cheated on you."
His expression morphed into one of pure rage. "You cheated on ? You let another man touch you? You let another man fuck you? How dare you, Enzo?"
I took a step back, his anger making nervous. "I didn’t—"
"You were acting all coy around , sending signals, and then you went and let soone else have you? Is that what you do? Lure n into your life and then discard them? Are you that desperate for attention?"
His words hit like a punch to the gut. "How could you say that to ?"
"Why shouldn’t I? Am I wrong?" His voice was venomous.
"I don’t want to continue this discussion. We are done. We are over. Get out."
I shoved him back, but he grabbed my wrist, yanking forward. His grip was iron-tight as he dragged toward the couch, shoving down onto it.
"It’s not over unless I say so. You gave yourself to another man, and now what? I’m going to have you too."
Panic exploded in my chest. "Please, don’t."
I turned my face away as he tried to kiss , his breath hot and furious against my skin. When I refused to comply, he growled in frustration and roughly sucked on my neck. The pain made gasp, and when I struggled, he slapped across the face.
"Stay still, you whore!" he spat.
Tears blurred my vision. I didn’t know what hurt more—his words or his actions. When he reached for my pants, I gathered every ounce of strength and shoved him off . I bolted, running to my bedroom and locking the door behind .
"Leave before I call the cops!" My voice cracked, and my body shook violently.
"Enzo... I’m sorry." His voice was muffled through the door. "I don’t know what got into . I was angry. Please, co out. Let’s talk."
"Get out before I call the cops, Olivier!" My throat burned from screaming. "Go away!"
Silence stretched on the other side. Then, after a few agonizing seconds, I heard the front door open and shut.
I slid down the door, hugging my knees as sobs wracked my body. I cried until exhaustion pulled under, my tears soaking into the cold wooden floor.
