456: Chapter 50 Diluted World Scripture 456: Chapter 50 Diluted World Scripture True Buddha looked the sa as ever, his gaze, however, remained fixed on the yellow sand as he said,

“Benefactor should not speak carelessly of such matters, the causality of an Immortal Position within the Heavenly Court is profound.”

“If you can grant Daoist enlightennt, can’t I reward you with a little trinket?”

Gu Wen sat cross-legged on the ground, pinching the yellow sand in his hand.

He could sense that compared to life and death, True Buddha was more wary of this object.

Since it was an ordination, he might as well accept it as a faithful dog.

He said in a joking tone, “This is my first ti being a Saint, and there are many rules I don’t understand.

It seems that both you and the Heavenly Saint like to take people on as dogs.”

“The Heavenly Saint has said, ‘All creatures follow the Heavenly Rules and Earthly Laws in order, even Saints cannot defy them.'”

“Buddhist Sect, Daoist, and Demon Sect all follow laws, Buddhist Sect with Position as law, Daoist currently views virtue as law, Demon Sect views strength as law.”

True Buddha nodded in agreent without any evasion, “You talk about enlightennt being at ease, about being carefree and unrestrained as all being illusory.

I say that beings should follow order, Saints abide by the law, one cannot avoid it.”

“If beings do not abide by laws, there will be no order in high or low positions, no lower monks to carry water in the temples, no middle monks to clean the doorsteps, no higher monks to resolve the devotees’ doubts in front of Buddha.”

Hearing this, Gu Wen did not argue and said, “Mortals have a saying, ‘A warrior breaks the law with martial prowess, a scholar with written word, do you think that’s right, Buddha Ancestor?'”

“Right, yet it’s not applicable to heaven and earth, limited only to small countries within a well.”

The Buddha Ancestor took a Jade Calming Bottle, dipped a drop of water from a willow branch, and with a flick, the droplet floated in the incense smoke.

The evolution of a realm, this world without law, life and death without order, ghosts and goblins innurable.

“Mortals live for fifty years in a lifeti, dynasties for three hundred years in a cycle, yet heaven and earth exist for countless millions of years.

If the boundaries of life and death do not exist, then heaven and earth will not outlast ten million years.”

Gu Wen took in the sight, aware that the other was warning him.

He said, “Then, why do you, Buddha Ancestor, transcend life and death?”

Buddha Ancestor said, “I was deluded by the Great Demon’s spell, but then a dream of millet is only a mont.

If Heart Demons exist, why not enjoy a hundred years’ dream of millet?”

This ti it was Buddha Ancestor’s turn to ask, if Gu Wen would have honestly accepted enlightennt, then even if Qingcang was strong, it would be of no avail.

Strength’s path fears most the human heart.

Even if True were to be shattered by her, as long as beings still have desires, Buddha will always exist.

A Mixed Elent Daoist heart is worth more than ten thousand Buddhist temples.

“A hundred years of dream is inferior to the mire of this mundane world,” Gu Wen replied, “I can distinguish real from fake; what you call a millet dream is but a shadow play to my eyes.”

Buddha Ancestor said, “I have already obtained the true body, how then can you discern the truth?”

Without hesitation, Gu Wen replied, “If it were the true body, she would have inford of the truth.”

No matter what, he would stay lucid, only the form differs.

That’s why he told Chi Yu Zi that marriage matters not, it’s best not to et.

At least in the dream of millet, there was hope of seeing her.

True Buddha’s thoughts were like threads, revealing a mont of enlightennt, laughing heartily, “It seems I do not understand mortals.”

Afterward, the two fell into a prolonged silence.

The vast Dao was tentatively explored, or rather, Buddha Ancestor was unilaterally spying on Gu Wen, fully aware that it was impossible to now enlighten him, yet still he harbored desire.

Perhaps he had already entered the Buddhist Dao.

“What is Buddha?”

“Buddha is Buddha, not anything else.”

“What’s the difference between Mahayana and lesser vehicles?”

“Mahayana saves all beings, while lesser vehicles attain self-enlightennt.”

“If it’s about saving all beings, then why can’t the people of Buddha State be wealthy?

Why is there a practice where people must offer young girls and boys to temples?”

“Buddhist Law is boundless, yet Heavenly Dao is ever-changing.

I, Buddha, am not a Great Saint and cannot make grains spring from the earth, nor in a thought make heaven and earth without disasters, beings without pain.”

“Thus, one must trade one for another, monks gain Daoist practice, and the people gain silver and gold.”

Buddha Ancestor was cloaked in Buddhist light, yet from his mouth spilled the myriad forms of all beings, the myriad dust of the mundane world.

Buddhist Law cannot transcend materialism, nor can Buddha allow everyone to beco enlightened.

Even monks are few and far between when it cos to enlightennt.

With each question and answer, Gu Wen gradually grasped the Buddhist intent within.

Learning isn’t necessary to use, but it’s essential not to lack.

Seeing this, Buddha Ancestor was no longer stingy, his voice unceasing with scriptures, every word carrying the aning of Zen for a thousand miles.

In an instant, the Buddhist light from Suru Mountain spread far and wide, its light piercing through the nine heavens, transforming into Buddhist clouds in the blue sky.

In the end, True Buddha’s presence was ethereal, the Golden Buddha’s light weak, only transforming into an old monk sitting cross-legged three zhang in front of Gu Wen, his voice still booming as he said, “Benefactor, have you understood Buddha?”

Gu Wen opened his eyes, his pupils devoid of Buddhist light, and asked again, “What is Buddha?”

He had grasped the principle of Mahayana Buddha and also forgotten the principle of Mahayana Buddha.

What Buddha is no longer mattered.

The old monk laughed and said, “I am Buddha, and Buddha is True.”

As he finished, his presence grew stronger by a trace, yet vaguely he lost the natural aura of a Mixed Elent Saint.

With words co laws, those who attempt to replace without the strength will face great calamity.

In the struggle between Buddha and Demon, if Buddha enlightens the Demon, he can progress further; if not, he becos Demon himself.

From the mont True acknowledged himself as Buddha, he was halfway into becoming Demon.

Saint is not always the regular state of True Buddha Ancestor; only because he enlightened the Great Demon was he about to co full circle, hence possessing the body of a Saint.

Not being able to enlighten Gu Wen was the stone he kicked when he was about to fall, the last straw that broke the cal’s back.

“Buddha Ancestor, you have lost.”

Gu Wen raised his hand and pointed, the Golden Light Spell infused with Buddhist intent erupted forth, forming a thin yet resilient pillar of light that shot straight at the old monk’s chest.

A huge cavity appeared, revealing a shattered Buddha statue behind.

The old monk looked down, no longer having the body of a Saint, unable to resist the attack from a Saint.

There is no fighting among Saints, only the pressure of the Dao.

The rapidly vanishing life also took away the vitality of the Heart Demon, giving the old monk a few more monts of clarity in his eyes.

He staggered back a few steps, the wound on his chest healing slowly, Gu Wen already raised his hand preparing to land the final blow.

“This old monk has a scripture, nad Diluted World Scripture, it can pass through Yin and Yang.”

Perhaps as a dying man speaks good words, the old monk, without waiting for Gu Wen’s refusal, touched his fingertip with blood, and as it hit the ground it transford into a scripture.

Gu Wen saw it and suddenly fell into a strange silence.

The old monk sneered, “Now that I’ve beco Demon, harming others does not break my vows.”

The Diluted World Scripture, slaughtering millions, can disturb life and death.
