[Vol.2] Quest 196- Doing FineThree days later.
Walking to Mia’s pub Circe covered her hair to not garner much attention.
"Nox and her need for magic items. She could just cover herself, but no~ I want to look good! Haa… At least she’s pulling her own. Hm?"
In front of the pub were two gods, one was a shirtless god with a fish and the other was a very beautiful bountiful goddess.
"Oh? Are you here to see soone?" asked the male god.
"I am, are two as well?"
"Hm! Our children found new jobs and we wanted to congratulate them!" said the female goddess. "Oh, were our manners! My na is Deter! And this is Njord!"
"Oh Deter and Njord! The Familia under Poseidon huh!"
"Fufu!"
"Hey! Co on!" he said. "So what is your na, little lady?"
Circe smiled.
"My na is Circe."
"Oh, the Little Witch! I heard you made dicine that surpasses the dicine Familia’s!" said Deter.
"Um well I wouldn’t say that… Um could we go inside? I like to hurry and get this over with and return ho."
"Sure, sure!"
The three enter the pub and see the gray-haired waitress.
"Oh, Lord Njord! Lady Deter! And the Little Witch! What brings you three here?"
"We are here to see our children, Syr." Said Njord.
"Yes, I want to see my little brawler!"
"And what of you?" said Syr, looking at Circe.
"I’m here to see your newly employed Elf."
"Very well! I’ll go get them!"
She quickly left.
After a while, she returned with the three in tow.
"Lady Deter!" said Lunoire, the Black Fist.
"Lord Njord ow!" said Chloe, the Black Cat.
"…I have never t you?" Ryuu said, looking at Circe.
"Could we talk in a room?" she asked Syr.
"Sure thing! Co."
Syr led Ryuu and Circe into a room and closed the door.
"So…who are you? I don’t know who you are?"
"Of course not, you were busy dealing with Evilus while I was busy treating the injured along with every other dicine Familia, but I’m sure you heard of my na of Little Witch, right?" Circe said, taking a seat.
"I have heard of it… But what do you have with ?"
"Sothing." Circe took out so daggers and threw them at the walls.
"W-what are you doing!?"
"Making it so we can have a conversation with no eavesdroppers."
Ryuu looked at the daggers to find a magic stone in them.
"Magic items…"
"They called Sound Eaters. They were made by Cirrus when he was forging."
"W-why do you have his creations…" Ryuu said, looking at her more keenly.
"Well, I guess you can say… I am what he would consider a little sister. Not by blood or anything of the sort, that’s just how our relationship is."
"…" she took a seat herself. "So are you here on his behalf?"
"Yes and no, I ca here to check up on you as you are the last of his Familia, and well, he tasked
with 2 jobs. One takes care of his aunt, and two, if anything serious happens in the city, tell him. So as you can see, the second 2nd job was initiated and thus I am here to check up on you."
"…I see, then does Cirrus know of what happened in Orario, or is he coming-"
"Sorry, but I didn’t tell him."
"B-but you said-"
"Astraea."
"!?"
"Your and his goddess requested
to not tell him. She asked
that before she left the city."
"…Do you know where he is?"
"I do but Astraea doesn’t. She never asked."
"…..What of his familiar? the hawk?"
"Oh, that bird? It’s doing fine! She’ll co by every now and again to see how you’re doing."
"That is good to know… Can I ask where Cirrus is?"
"Well, he’s with his lover in her holand. From what I got, he’s actually getting married."
"W-what!?" Ryuu said, surprised.
"Yeah, I was shocked too! But it won’t be until he is 18, but you know when he damaged the moon?"
"Yes? Lady Artemis chased after him all throughout Orario."
"Well... she’s his first wife."
"…???" Ryuu is trying to process her words correctly. "L-Lady Artemis? What of Ai?"
"She’s his second wife, seems the punishnt for damaging the moon, which is Artemis’s symbol, will result in so repercussions, and well, what better way than to be his first wife."
"That is…I-I don’t really know what to say?"
"Well keep it to yourself alright. That’s partially the reason why I made this room eavesdropping proof. The main reason was so we could talk in private."
"….Can you give Cirrus a ssage?"
"I can, I have a guy who can do it pretty fast! And no, it’s not that dam Hers! My guy is way better!"
"…I see well um could you tell him I’m doing fine, and that Alise and the others send their goodwill."
"…Hm! I’ll put that in a letter! Oh, can you get
so water? It’s a bit hot today."
"Hm, hold on a second."
Ryuu gets up and leaves to get a glass of water, but when she returned she found a note with Circe gone with the window open.
Ryuu opened the envelope and read the note.
"You can keep the Sound Eaters. Think of them as a special gift from
to you. -Circe."
"…Heh…Circe…Oh, wait the letter!!"
Later in the Evening
"And so she sends her well regards."
‘That’s very nice of her.' Said Cirrus from Yamato. ‘And everything is going well?’
"Yeah, Finn finally crushed all of Evilus, but I still hear that so goddess is still looking for you?"
‘Ah, that… Yeah Artemis said she is going to go and clear up the situation once I turn 18 or later she was rather vague about it.'
"Yeah… It’s a sha I can’t co, I would love to see the wedding! Actually, a lot of people would like to co to see Artemis, one of the Big 3 Virgin Goddesses getting hitched!"
"Ki-hihihi!! Very impressive!" said Lenoa.
"Lenoa said she’s very impressed."
‘As did many people who knows of Artemis.'
"Oh are the contraceptive pills selling well over there?"
‘They are, with them we managed to snag one of the biggest red districts in the country to move over here! So now I’m rolling in the green! Or well, gold I should say. So material shipnts should be arriving in about two weeks.'
"Thanks! Maybe one day we will co and pay you a visit!"
‘That will be nice… Talk to you later.’
"Talk to you later, bye."
‘Bye.’
Their ntal connection cuts off. Circe takes a deep breath and slumps down on her chair.
"I hope he doesn't return to find out what happened." Circe said, looking dishearten.
"He will co… That boy will always co ho."
"…Then I should be ready when that day cos, but... I don't know how to even say it."
