Bell pulled a Spirit Tree seed straight out of four-dinsional space.
At the sa ti, a character glowing erald green sank into the seed.
"Crack, crack, crack!"
Under the influence of that character, the seed instantly split open. Tender shoots burst out and spread wildly in every direction like vines.
Bell casually tossed the already sprouting seed into the sea.
Then, while watching how it grew, he placed one foot on the surface of the water.
A jet of water shot up from the spot where his foot had landed.
But Bell was faster. He moved his foot away in an instant.
"Whoosh!"
Even so, the water jet had already locked onto Bell the mont it left the surface.
Like a precision-guided missile, it flew straight at him.
"Boom!"
The water jet slamd down violently, blasting a temporary hole thirty ters across in the surface of the sea.
Bell flashed to the edge of the hollowed-out water and leaned over to look down.
"Three thousand ters deep?"
"This planet’s oceans really have been deepened by quite a bit."
Even at a depth of three thousand ters, the seabed still couldn’t be seen. That alone showed just how deep this ocean had beco.
Bell shook his head slightly. He could already sense Leviathan’s presence throughout the entire sea.
It could be said that this ocean was Leviathan’s perfect disguise.
For any god, trying to find Leviathan’s true body in Leviathan’s own domain would be a serious challenge.
And if soone entered the ocean itself, or got caught by it, the situation would likely beco even worse.
"But this is a huge miscalculation."
"Boom!"
Countless vines more than ten ters thick surged up from beneath the sea.
In an instant, those vines ford path after path across the ocean’s surface, and the thickest one rose from directly beneath Bell’s feet.
"Once vegetation ets the right conditions, it starts growing very quickly."
"An abundant water supply, along with the rule of ’Ocean’ diffused throughout that water, is also one of the nutrients that promotes growth."
"And of course, there’s also the aura you’ve spread across the entire sea."
Bell lowered his head and looked at the water below.
"So? Do you want to test whether your nutrients can overfeed this plant to death, or are you going to start shrinking the range of your power and the rule of ’Ocean’ right now?"
"..."
The sea gave no answer, but that aura showed no sign of drawing back.
Bell nodded slightly in understanding.
"I see. So you’re planning to clash with it head-on and see what happens."
"Well, that’s fine too. In the end, you’ll have to compress your own living space anyway. Trying now might help you give up sooner."
Bell wasn’t surprised by Leviathan’s decision in the slightest.
It was like expecting soone holding four twos and two jokers to surrender the mont the ga began. That was never realistic.
Unless Leviathan could see the cards in Bell’s hand.
But if it really ca to that, Bell would care even less about Leviathan’s attitude. He wouldn’t even give Leviathan the chance to choose.
After all, Behemoth, Leviathan, and the Black Dragon were different from Gugalanna.
Gugalanna was a god from another world, outside the scope of the Three Great Quests, so letting her go was no big deal.
But Behemoth, Leviathan, and the Black Dragon only had one ending ahead of them.
Death.
So Bell cared even less.
He had already made his move. The only question now was whether Leviathan was still naïvely hiding in the sea and deliberately dragging things out.
If it was, then this was no longer a subjugation battle.
It was just a ga of a trapped beast struggling in vain.
Beneath the sea, the vines spread rapidly outward. Vast amounts of seawater, Leviathan’s power, and the rule of ’Ocean’ were all devoured by the vines, directly accelerating their growth even further.
The sea was almost incapable of stopping the vines from feeding.
It wasn’t that Leviathan had done nothing. It was that the mont it tried to act, the vines imdiately shifted toward wherever energy was gathering.
That concentrated energy simply couldn’t outpace the vines’ rate of absorption.
Just as Bell had said, the entire ocean had beco nourishnt.
And the poor trapped beast still didn’t realize it had already been thoroughly ensnared. It was on the verge of losing the initiative altogether.
Leviathan, hidden on the far side of the planet, naturally knew things had beco troubleso.
It didn’t know what that prey was trying to do, but it could already vaguely sense that if it let that prey continue, its own situation would soon turn very bad.
But what could it do now?
If it showed itself, then most likely, just like Behemoth, once it was dragged out of the ’Ocean’, its situation would beco even worse than Behemoth’s.
Rather than jump out recklessly, it was better to keep watching that prey’s next move.
As long as those vines didn’t catch it, or as long as they eventually reached their limit, then the advantage would still remain on its side.
After waiting for a while, Bell smiled and shook his head slightly.
"Doesn’t this make Leviathan even easier to deal with than Behemoth?"
Behemoth had at least caused him so trouble. Bell had actually gotten to have a proper fight with it.
But Leviathan?
Wasn’t this just a turtle hiding in its shell?
Still, that was fine too. At least dealing with Leviathan would save him so effort.
...
The image in the projection gradually zood out, letting everyone see more and more until the whole planet ca into view.
From that overlooking perspective, aside from the acidic cloud layer hanging above the planet, one section had already stopped looking like the surrounding earthy yellow and was turning clear, distinctly separated from everything around it.
And that change was spreading at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"What is that...?"
Zeus’s gaze sharpened. It was obvious enough. That had to be that brat’s doing.
"Planetary modification."
Hera saw it even more clearly. The changes in that region were undoubtedly the result of alterations being made to the planet itself.
"But he’s only dealing with a single Leviathan. There shouldn’t be any need to make such a huge move."
Hera couldn’t understand it, and Zeus was just as baffled for a mont.
No one understood right away, but Hestia alone spoke what she believed was the one correct answer.
"It’s for the Xenos!"
"Bell said before that he wanted to prepare a safe place for the monsters born from the Dungeon who possess human intelligence."
Clearly, the strategy for dealing with Leviathan had already been settled beyond doubt. Otherwise, Hestia didn’t believe Bell would be reshaping the planet in the middle of fighting Leviathan.
