The Behemoth, Leviathan and Nidhogg were dead with the first and third having been reduced to re loot already while the second was used to seal the dungeon exit into the worlds water ways. The one eyed black dragon, Antares, Knuckelavee and The hundred hands giant were under different seals with the dragon being the only one sealed in modern tis. Hera was the one who seals away the black dragon by using her divine power to keep it in a perpetual state of slumber in a secret place. This was only a temporary solution however as with the restrictions of the heavens her power will only hold it for so long.-
While it was widely agreed upon that the black dragon was the most powerful of all of these "divine" level monsters the last three were no slouches either. Antares was the dungeons attempt at replicating the divine script of the gods which gave it the terrifying ability to absorb a god to fuel it's power if the legends were true. The Knuckelavee was a beast of nightmare that spread plague and death rely by existing within an area while possessing a dreadful level of regeneration.-
Finally the hundred hands giant was a strange monster that was vaguely humanoid but had a single eye that shot out a powerful beam wherever it gazed and hundreds of arms on it's torso that in addition to it's mountain sized body gave it it's na. Each of these monsters was a unique and powerful existence and thus were classified as divine monsters. There was so speculation that each of these monsters were in so way variants that had escaped the dungeon after growing powerful enough but that was hard to believe.-
The reason for that was simply that such a level of mutation had simply never been recorded before and if it was true these monsters were so different from what they were originally that no connection could really be found beyond the black dragon that was theorized to be a highly mutated Valgang dragon. All of this was to say there was no fucking chance I was going to tell Fels or anyone for that matter how I was heading down a similar path to these monsters. Besides that I had a plan, a bad one granted but a plan none the less if these monsters ever got free and I was forced to face them earlier than I'd like.-
I'll be keeping that to myself unless it becos needed however. Fels left shortly after that since there was no more reason for them to be here. It also didn't help that they had to stay under cloaking or I'd have to fight against my skill about killing them. Just looking at their soul left twitchy so seeing their full form wasn't likely to go very well. Problematic impulses aside the night went by uneventfully after that and I headed down to the water palace floors again.-
The place seed the sa as before but this ti when I looked over the great fall at the end of a path I saw sothing quite interesting. There at the massive lake below a shadow grew bigger and bigger beneath the surface until the water exploded as two massive draconic heads broke the surface. The pale scales, pink and blue crystals growing from the necks and back and roughly plesiosaur shaped body with a long thick tail on it told exactly what this was, Amphisbaena. Looking carefully I saw no adventurers at the shore of the lake which made this a natural spawn rather than a reactionary one.-
The dungeon was kinda an asshole when it ca to the spawning of monsters as it sotis sped up the ti slightly if there were adventurers nearby the spawn point. This was known as "ambush spawning" and had claid more than a few adventurers who were caught unawares until it was too late. In this case Amphisbaena spawned normally after roughly a month had gone by since it was last killed. This also made grin widely as I felt the urge to do sothing many would consider suicide, jump down the great fall.-
"Fuck it! Geronimo!" I yelled as I took a running swan dive off the edge of the cave I was standing on.
The big ass ugly water dragon stared right at as i did this but didn't seem inclined to make a move, probably thinking it didn't need to. The shock in it's face when my flas blasted away from the wall of falling water and towards it was sothing I don't think I'll ever forget. Almost as unforgettable as the sheer fucking impact I slamd into it's pink head with while using my flas as rocket boosters.-
My arms, ribs, hands, shoulders and spine were crushed as my weapon crashed into the big lizards pink head like a teor. I burnt through a chunk of my energy to repair the damage instantly with RCT but it had no such ability. To say that head was now dead would be an understatent as the crystals had shattered and the scales cracked apart while the skull under the skin crumbled inwards and tore off from sheer fucking friction. I created a platform of ice from my new location under the water that shot up to float on the lakes surface while the big lizard was still reeling from that insane attack.-
"Aw man now i feel kinda bad. You're all lopsided and stuff! Want to do the other side? Even you out?" I shouted at it earning a withering wrath filled glare from the blue eyes of the remaining head.
It's maw opened and blue flas spewed out at forcing to dodge in a hurry.
"Guess not." I mutter with a chuckle.
The monsters flas didn't go out on contact with the water but floated there and with my sharp vision I noticed the flas were actually secondary here. Under the flas floating on the water was a sort of oil that the flas were burning instead of being in direct contact with the water.
'Ah! So that's how the fire works, how clever! Most people likely see the flas not getting extinguished by the water and think it was because of magic but in truth the flas are simply burning the thin layer of oil floating on the waters surface.' I thought impressed at the design.
