"What? Your classmate?"

Upon hearing Zhu Fei’s words, Xu Pengfei was imdiately taken aback, even his hands gripping the steering wheel trembled slightly.

The news was just too... too damn "shocking"!

Xu Pengfei would never have imagined that this young man, whom he had always casually called ’little brother,’ could actually be a classmate of his wife’s niece!

Moreover, from his recent reference to Tang ngyun, it seed their relationship was not just that of ordinary classmates.

"Yep, that’s right," Zhu Fei nodded and said, "But Manager Xu, I hope you can keep so aspects of my personal capabilities confidential from ngyun, as she doesn’t know about those matters yet."

As they conversed, Xu Pengfei’s car finally arrived at the People’s Hospital and drove directly into the parking lot.

Once they got out of the car and walked towards the ergency center, Xu Pengfei had almost recovered from the initial shock.

He looked at Zhu Fei and finally nodded, saying, "Don’t worry, I won’t talk to ngyun about your matters."

He paused for a mont and then, with a strange tone, Xu Pengfei asked, "But I still want to ask, what exactly is your relationship with our ngyun now? I know that ngyun usually doesn’t interact much with boys."

Xu Pengfei’s question visibly startled Zhu Fei, imdiately making him sowhat embarrassed.

Honestly, it was difficult to define his exact relationship with Tang ngyun; they were certainly no less than real friends.

However, Zhu Fei soon realized, since Tang ngyun was Xu Pengfei’s wife’s niece, continuing to address Xu Pengfei as a brother might not be appropriate now, at least not overtly.

So, a mont later, Zhu Fei smiled and said to Xu Pengfei, "Uncle Xu, ngyun and I are very good friends, but perhaps we should first focus on your wife’s condition now?"

Zhu Fei didn’t want to dwell on this topic anymore, so he swiftly shifted the conversation to Xu Pengfei’s wife.

Sure enough, as soon as Zhu Fei ntioned his wife, Xu Pengfei indeed stopped discussing Zhu Fei and Tang ngyun’s matters and repeatedly nodded, saying,

"Right, right, right, we should go see my wife first. Zhu Fei, I’m really counting on you this ti."

With that, Xu Pengfei quickly began to jog ahead.

Seeing this, Zhu Fei smiled, shook his head slightly, and without hesitation, followed Xu Pengfei and ran towards the hospital.

...

Several people were already standing outside the ergency room.

Leading them was Tang ngyun’s father, Tang Yueming, the brother of Xu Pengfei’s wife, Tang Lan.

Beside him stood his wife, Luo Min, and another brother, Tang Yuejun.

At that mont, everyone stood outside the ergency room, anxiously awaiting news from inside.

They all knew that Tang Lan’s car accident was severe, with brain damage, and the doctors had also inford them that, barring a miracle, Tang Lan had less than a thirty percent chance of surviving normally.

Even if she did survive, whether she could regain consciousness was still uncertain.

Thus, the faces of everyone present revealed anxiety, worry, and a deep, unresolved sadness.

"Big brother, it’s been over ten minutes, why hasn’t my brother-in-law arrived yet? Does he not care about my sister’s safety at all?"

Tang Yuejun, the youngest among the Tang siblings, also had a fiery temper.

Seeing that Xu Pengfei had still not arrived at this point, he was agitated and voiced his thoughts without considering whether it was appropriate.

Hearing Tang Yuejun’s almost aggressive words, the people present couldn’t help but bitterly smile.

They all knew of Tang Yuejun’s close relationship with his sister, Tang Lan, and given his fiery temper, it was not surprising that he would speak like this under such circumstances.

"He was indeed being quite unreasonable at that mont."

"You know, the Chunqiu Pavilion where Xu Pengfei is, is almost forty minutes away from this hospital."

"Even if he drove as fast as he could, it would be very difficult to reach here in just over ten minutes unless he overtook other cars."

"Yuejun, don’t talk nonsense. Do we need to ntion the relationship between your brother-in-law and your sister? Look at you, you’re already a deputy regintal leader, yet your temper hasn’t changed."

At that mont, Tang Yueming finally spoke up.

Although he was equally anxious at that mont, he still understood the character of Xu Pengfei, his brother-in-law, and thus spoke up for him.

"But big brother..."

Just as Tang Yuejun was about to say more, everyone suddenly saw.

At the corner of their staircase, two figures suddenly appeared in their line of sight.

One of them was Xu Pengfei.

As soon as Xu Pengfei arrived, he hurriedly asked, "How is it? How is Little Lan now? Is she still in danger?"

Seeing Xu Pengfei’s anxious and genuinely concerned appearance, Tang Yuejun, who had just been complaining about him, imdiately fell silent.

It was Tang Yueming, as the eldest brother and head of the family, who first nodded at Xu Pengfei.

Then he shook his head with a wry smile and said, "Pengfei, Little Lan’s condition is not good. I want to warn you to be ntally prepared when you see her."

"What? How could this be?"

Hearing Tang Yueming’s words, Xu Pengfei’s face instantly turned extrely pale.

Although he had known before coming here that his wife, Tang Lan’s condition was very bad.

But upon hearing Tang Yueming’s words again, Xu Pengfei still found it sowhat difficult to accept.

He took a deep breath and suddenly turned to Zhu Fei, who was beside him, and said, "Zhu Fei, what do you think about this...?"

Zhu Fei clearly knew what Xu Pengfei wanted to say, and imdiately nodded, "The problem shouldn’t be too big, as long as she still breathes, I can save her."

"What? What did you say?"

Zhu Fei’s words were not spoken softly, so everyone present heard them.

Amid their astonishnt, they all cast strange glances at Xu Pengfei, who was beside Zhu Fei.

After all, Zhu Fei was brought by Xu Pengfei. Although they were puzzled why Xu Pengfei would bring such a person, they hadn’t paid much attention to it at that ti.

But now, Zhu Fei’s abrupt and inappropriate comnt made everyone feel sothing odd.

Tang Yuejun was even more unceremonious, stepping forward directly to Zhu Fei and staring at him closely.

"Kid, repeat what you just said. Do you know what you’re talking about? This is not a place where you can ss around."

Then, Tang Yuejun turned his head, looking at Xu Pengfei, and finally showed a hint of anger:

"Xu Pengfei, explain to , who is this guy exactly? How can you still bring outsiders at a ti like this?"

"Ah, I recognize you."

Suddenly, just as Tang Yuejun finished speaking and before Xu Pengfei had a chance to explain.

Luo Min, who had been standing beside Tang Yueming, suddenly stared intently at Zhu Fei and nodded, "If I’m not mistaken, you should be a classmate of my daughter ngyun, right?"
