One hour later, Shen Yuyan drove her red BMW, first dropping Zhao Jing ho, then returning to her apartnt with Zhu Fei.

During that ti, as Zhu Fei, Shen Yuyan, and the others left the private room, Bai Pojun and his friends hardly dared to breathe, just staring at their departing figures.

"Zhu Fei, about tonight, really, thank you so much."

After parking the car and walking into her apartnt with Zhu Fei, Shen Yuyan suddenly turned around, her eyes soft as she spoke to Zhu Fei.

"Cough cough... Um, Sister Shen, didn’t you already say that on the way back? Why bring it up again? We don’t need to be so formal with each other, right?"

Zhu Fei, touching his nose, gave a sowhat helpless wry smile.

"Okay, if you don’t like hearing it, I won’t say it again."

Shen Yuyan smiled, then walked toward one of the rooms.

"It’s getting late, why don’t you stay here tonight? I’ll tidy up your room and then I’ll make dinner. We can have a few drinks together later."

Shen Yuyan’s voice floated out from the room.

They hadn’t had dinner yet because of Bai Pojun.

Zhu Fei thought to himself that he wasn’t hungry, but then he rembered that Shen Yuyan was just an ordinary person, and skipping dinner might not be good for her health, so he didn’t refuse.

...

Another hour later, when Shen Yuyan, wrapped in a bath towel, ca down from the upstairs bathroom, she was slightly surprised to see that Zhu Fei hadn’t touched the food she had prepared forty minutes earlier. She teased,

"What’s the matter? You don’t like the dishes I cooked?"

Before Zhu Fei could respond, Shen Yuyan laughed and added, "It figures, usually Auntie Wang cooks at ho, but it’s so late now, and I think she’s already asleep, so I didn’t call her."

The fragrance of her perfu wafted over; Zhu Fei watched Shen Yuyan sit down across from him. As he tried to process her earlier words, he couldn’t help but be captivated by her current appearance.

Under the light, Shen Yuyan, post-shower, looked enchanting, radiating a womanly charm.

Top-grade!

Suddenly, that thought popped into Zhu Fei’s mind, absurd yet amusing.

Since when had he beco so distracted? The sight of Shen Yuyan in her post-bath attire had subtly stirred his heart.

"Hey, Zhu Fei, what are you staring at?"

Just as Zhu Fei was mocking himself for his reaction, Shen Yuyan’s slightly reproachful voice suddenly rang in his ear.

He felt instantly embarrassed, sowhat sheepish.

"Hmph! Little rascal, I thought you were different from other n, but it turns out you’re just the sa."

Shen Yuyan picked up the chopsticks, seemingly scolding but with a touch of indulgence, and tapped Zhu Fei lightly on the head, her face in a half-smiling expression.

"Uh..."

Seeing Shen Yuyan’s expression, Zhu Fei was montarily stunned.

This feeling was so bizarre... it was almost as if a sister was teasing her little brother, seemingly complaining but actually filled with indulgence and tenderness.

Zhu Fei was at a loss for words, but before he could respond, Shen Yuyan had already taken a bottle of red wine from the side, uncapped it, and poured for both of them.

"Alright, rascal, from now on, let’s just consider ourselves siblings, you shouldn’t have any objections, right?"

"Siblings?"

Zhu Fei was caught between laughter and tears. He opened his mouth as if he wanted to say sothing more, but he saw Shen Yuyan already lifting her glass of wine, gesturing towards him.

"Co on, kiddo, shall we down one?"

Down one? "Down" one?

Zhu Fei was completely at a loss for words. He couldn’t tell if it was intentional or not, but he always felt that the current Shen Yuyan, whether in her words or actions, gave off a peculiar air that inexplicably made ripples surge in his heart.

"Clang!"

Their glasses collided in mid-air.

Zhu Fei suppressed the restlessness in his heart and finally stopped thinking about other things. Instead, he gently clinked his glass against the one Shen Yuyan held before downing the red wine in one gulp.

The icy wine entered his stomach, instantly clearing the sowhat muddled thoughts Zhu Fei harbored.

However, when he looked up and gazed at Shen Yuyan again, he saw a faint blush suddenly bloom on her cheeks.

Under the light, she was breathtakingly beautiful.

Perhaps it was the effect of the alcohol, or maybe it was the flirtatious atmosphere, but when Shen Yuyan t Zhu Fei’s gaze at that mont, the blush on her face deepened.

"Cough, cough... Zhu Fei, will tonight’s events affect you in any way?"

As if to avoid the awkwardness, Shen Yuyan suddenly coughed twice, intentionally shifting the topic.

"Sigh..."

Seeing Shen Yuyan change the subject, Zhu Fei inexplicably let out a long breath.

He pondered for a mont and then smiled, shaking his head, "It shouldn’t, and even if it does, I’m not afraid. Sister Shen, after all this ti, do you still lack confidence in ?"

As if to answer Zhu Fei, Shen Yuyan picked up the wine bottle again, filled their glasses, and then raised her glass with a smile, "Okay, I believe in you. No matter what troubles or difficulties arise in the future, I will face them with you."

Having said that, Shen Yuyan didn’t wait for Zhu Fei to respond; she lightly clinked glasses with him again and then downed the red wine in her glass in one go.

"Shen... Sister Shen, I think you should eat sothing first."

Seeing that Shen Yuyan downed her drink in one gulp each ti, Zhu Fei couldn’t help but worry, fearing that she might get drunk.

"It’s okay, I’m happy today and just want to indulge a little. Zhu Fei, don’t worry about ; I know my limits."

"You know, ever since my mother passed away, there hasn’t been a mont when I haven’t thought about seeking justice for her..."

Ignoring Zhu Fei’s recent attempt to dissuade her, Shen Yuyan continued to pour wine into her glass.

However, this ti, unlike before, she didn’t finish her drink in one gulp. Instead, she gently swirled the wine in her glass, occasionally sipping it lightly.

"I rember when I was a child, she would often hold my hand, taking to the park, to the tutoring classes..."

Suddenly, Shen Yuyan began to recount her mories.

At this mont, her eyes were misty.

At this mont, her expression was sorrowful.

At this mont, her tears flowed freely.

Zhu Fei didn’t interject or stop her from continuing to drink. He simply sat quietly, quietly listening to her stories, listening to her joys and sorrows.

Because, he had already understood Shen Yuyan, deciphering the bitter sorrow that had been buried in her heart for many years.
