Chapter 167: Chapter 167 : Divine Dragontail Trench (2)
As one dove deeper into the trench, the water pressure grew increasingly higher while the water temperature dropped lower and lower.
At this point, land creatures would start experiencing ringing ears, an uncomfortable sensation in their chests, and also congested nasal passage.
As they descended lower and lower into the murky darkness that opened its mouth wide to swallow the welco intruders, everything seed to fade away. The only thing that remained was probably regret.
Xie Jianyu expertly manipulated the water around him, letting it flow past his body without causing him any harm. He glided into the depth, sinking into a silence so deafening that he could hear his own heart beating against his chest.
Xie Jianyu opened his eyes wide and searched for any humanoid form that lingered around.
A random fish with a spiky exterior shot out of a dark corner and approached Xie Jianyu. Curious about this unusual visitor, it started swimming next to him.
Tiny bubbles escaped Xie Jianyu’s lips when he communicated with the fish.
"Did you see a male person other than
inside this trench?"
The fish blinked at Xie Jianyu once, as if pondering about the answer. Right afterward, it made a turn and swam away. Xie Jianyu used his legs to propel him forward and followed the fish.
The fish dove deeper into the trench and led Xie Jianyu to a lifeless body. It was floating in the water like an apparition with its face facing downward.
Xie Jianyu’s heart almost stopped beating at the sight. A glimpse at the man’s side feature was enough for him to recognize the alpha that he was looking for.
"Zhang Fengxi!"
Xie Jianyu put his arms around Zhang Fengxi’s waist and gave it a powerful tug upward.
Without his spiritual power, he had only his physical power to rely on. Alas, Zhang Fengxi was a lot heavier and bigger than he was.
"Zhang Fengxi," Xie Jianyu called in his head as he tilted Zhang Fengxi’s chin upward and slapped his cheeks as hard as he could underwater. "Zhang Fengxi!"
Zhang Fengxi neither moved nor made a sound. His head lolled weakly to the side, his eyes closed tightly and his lips ghastly bluish.
Xie Jianyu bit hard into his own lips. There was no other way. Even if he swam upward with the alpha in his arms, the latter was not going to survive the slow ascent.
Full of determination, Xie Jianyu grabbed Zhang Fengxi’s lapels with both hands and pressed their lips together.
After prying Zhang Fengxi’s lips open with his tongue, he then blew so air into Zhang Fengxi’s lungs.
"Please," he kept saying in his head.
"Please, Zhang Fengxi."
"Move, wriggle. Do anything. Show
that you are still alive."
Xie Jianyu’s hope slipped away with every passing second. But then, like a sneaky tiger that jumped out of its hiding to claim its prey, the alpha gently sucked on Xie Jianyu’s lips and reciprocated the kiss.
Xie Jianyu opened his eyes in astonishnt.
He tried to push Zhang Fengxi away, but the alpha already locked their bodies together in an intimate embrace.
At the sa ti, he locked Xie Jianyu’s neck in place so that the latter could not break away from the kiss.
"Mmm!!!"
Xie Jianyu bit into Zhang Fengxi’s lips in protest. The bite only served to set Zhang Fengxi’s passion afla. The originally innocent kiss morphed into a torrid affair between an alpha and an oga.
But that was not all.
A huge wave of spiritual power engulfed Zhang Fengxi and Xie Jianyu, loosening all the knots in their ridians and flowing through their bodies freely like water breaking past a dam.
Zhang Fengxi could barely believe it. They were healed just like that.
The spiritual aura that emanated from their entwined bodies seeped through the cold water, warming it to a certain extent. The drastic temperature difference between the warm water and the extrely cold water propelled the two n upward, out of the trench.
Once they arrived at the mouth of the trench, a countless number of small fishes rushed to receive them. They ford impenetrable layers of wall around the two n, as if trying to shield them from unwanted gazes.
Zhang Fengxi and Xie Jianyu broke their kiss a split second before they broke through the water’s surface.
Zhang Fengxi had barely sucked in a lungful of fresh air before he was shoved away roughly. What followed was Xie Jianyu’s trademark slap across his cheek.
Zhang Fengxi slowly turned to look at Xie Jianyu in disbelief.
The oga in front of him was so angry that hot tears fell across his cheeks. Even the tails of his eyes turned red from indignation.
"Xie Jianyu, what’s wrong...?"
Zhang Fengxi reached out to wipe Xie Jianyu’s tears, but his hand was smacked away viciously by the latter.
"Don’t touch !" Xie Jianyu cried out.
"Zhang Fengxi, will you stop doing that???"
"Doing what...?"
Lips trembling from anger, Xie Jianyu looked like he was about to chew Zhang Fengxi’s head off. Then again, Xie Jianyu hated confrontations. As always, he chose to swallow his grievances and walk away from those who caused them.
Without giving Zhang Fengxi a proper reply, Xie Jianyu swam away from Zhang Fengxi, intending to get as far away from the alpha as possible. Unfortunately, this ti Zhang Fengxi was not willing to let him go just like that. He pulled at Xie Jianyu’s sleeve and tried to coax him into talking.
"Xie Jianyu, wait. Don’t do this. Don’t just go away when you are unhappy. At least tell
what I did wrong."
If looks could kill, then Xie Jianyu’s gaze must have burned a few holes in Zhang Fengxi’s body.
"Fine."
Xie Jianyu yanked his sleeve away from Zhang Fengxi’s hand.
"I want you to stop taking advantage of ," Xie Jianyu finally said it out loud. "Don’t randomly touch . Or hug . Or kiss . I hate it!"
