Chapter 100: Chapter 100 : Xie Jianyu’s Wedding Preparation

Xie Jianshen’s face took on a blank expression when he heard his father’s words.

"Wedding? To an oga?"

The Emperor arched an eyebrow at his eldest son.

"Otherwise?"

Xie Jianshen draped an arm protectively around Xie Jianyu’s shoulder.

"Little Yu is not ready," he decided.

The Emperor squinted at his sons.

"The Heavenly Empire is not waiting for him to be ready, or for you to make him ready."

Xie Jianshen opened his mouth to argue, but Xie Jianyu squeezed his hand to silence him.

"I don’t mind," he said. "I will do it."

The Emperor smiled.

"Very good. Jianyu is growing up."

Xie Jianshen grew tense.

"It is not about growing up or not! Little Yu’s body is not yet capable of impregnating an oga."

The Emperor scoffed.

"No one expects Jianyu to sire a child as soon as he gets married. We dragons are known to be reproductively challenged anyway. I trust that the treatnt is an ongoing process, Jianshen?"

What great timing. Just when the Reversal Seeds were out of reach.

"I am working on it," he said, his temples throbbing as he spoke.

"Very well. I see no problem at all then. Jianyu, we shall pick an obedient wife for you. Soone who does not have lofty ambitions."

"Do you have soone in mind, Father?" Xie Jianshen asked.

"Indeed, I have. After going through the many submissions for the future empress candidate, I find soone to my liking. It is Song Wanrong, Qifeng Palace Master’s niece. She just differentiated into an oga two weeks ago. The girl is sensible and well-mannered. She will make a fine wife for Jianyu."

Xie Jianshen humd.

Song Wanrong was a young maiden of sixteen years old, almost two years younger than Xie Jianyu.

The Qifeng Palace was his mother’s birth palace, so Xie Jianshen went to visit many tis to maintain good relationships with the phoenix clan.

The Song Wanrong he rembered was a shy and timid girl. Indeed, only this kind of girl would not kick a fuss when she did not get pregnant right away.

Five months.

Xie Jianyu’s treatnt was going to resu after five months.

Xie Jianshen bit into his lower lip anxiously.

"When will the wedding take place?"

The Emperor let out a booming laughter.

"Impatient now, aren’t you? Naturally, a couple must not et each other for the first ti during the wedding ceremony. Jianyu, you will pay a visit to Qifeng Palace in the near future and get to know Song Wanrong. Song Weiyang shall be notified of your interest in his niece."

Xie Jianyu nodded briefly.

"Yes, Father."

The Emperor shifted his gaze to Xie Jianshen.

"Jianshen, make sure that Jianyu has all he needs to be a doting husband to his future wife."

"I understand."

The two siblings left the Emperor’s private chamber soon after, and Xie Jianshen pulled Xie Jianyu to the side.

"Little Yu, co with

"What for, Big Brother?"

"I need you to take a look at sothing."

The Compendium Pavilion was the largest library in Heavenly Realm, located so distance away from the Golden Dragon Palace.

So of these tall shelves surrounded Xie Jianshen and Xie Jianyu as they looked down at various scrolls and records that were sprawled open across the table.
