----------------------------------------------------------

Just as he arrived among the group, Shirou Emiya heard rlin's murmured words. He reacted imdiately, offering a straightforward introduction.

"Hello, everyone from Chaldea."

"My na is Shirou Emiya. I'm a traveler who journeys through many different worlds. Please take care of ."

"Hello, Mr. Emiya!" Mash Kyrielight responded at once. Having just been saved by him, she straightened her posture slightly. "Hello, Emiya-senpai. I'm Mash Kyrielight, your junior Servant."

"My na is Ritsuka Fujimaru," the girl beside her followed up quickly. "I'm a Master from Chaldea. Mr. Emiya... do you know about Chaldea?"

Her gaze lingered on him with clear expectation.

After witnessing Shirou Emiya's strength, Ritsuka Fujimaru had already understood how dangerous this Age of Gods truly was. She and Mash needed help. Desperately. And since the man standing before them had calmly appeared here, it ant one thing.

He had already defeated Enkidu.

Soone capable of that was not soone she could afford to ignore.

"Chaldea?" Shirou Emiya smiled faintly. "Of course I know."

After saying that, he reached out and patted Ritsuka Fujimaru's shoulder.

"You're the last hope of this world."

Ritsuka froze for a mont.

Then Shirou Emiya shifted his gaze, looking at the figure beside her.

"I didn't expect rlin to show up here," he said. "Can you really just pop out whenever you want?"

"Of course not!" rlin replied imdiately, placing a hand over his chest. "Since I've decided to live there forever, I won't co to the human world again. This is a sage's promise!"

Hearing that, Shirou Emiya sighed inwardly.

rlin's words really were unreliable.

A sage's promise, yet he still ran out of Avalon in the end.

After silently finishing his internal complaints, Shirou Emiya turned his attention to the girl standing quietly to the side.

"My na is Ana."

That was all she said.

Then she fell silent again, clearly unwilling to elaborate any further.

rlin tilted his head and looked at Shirou Emiya with curiosity.

"By the way, Shirou, since you're so composed, I assu Enkidu has already been dealt with. How is he now?"

"Who are you calling Shirou?" Shirou Emiya shot him a sideways glance. "Don't get so familiar."

rlin only smiled brightly.

"As for Enkidu," Shirou Emiya continued, "he escaped."

"It seems he realized the difference in power between us and chose to retreat. People like him are very hard to kill."

That wasn't an exaggeration.

Kingu's regenerative abilities were abnormal. After tasting Shirou Emiya's lightning and sensing the divine power within it, he had imdiately pulled back. During their brief clash, Kingu had apparently mistaken Shirou Emiya for a god.

After all, the lightning he endured wasn't magic.

It was authority.

Out of caution toward a being he believed to be divine, Kingu chose not to continue the fight.

"I see." Mash nodded thoughtfully, then turned to Ritsuka Fujimaru. "Senpai, what should we do next?"

"Of course, we're going to Uruk," Ritsuka answered without hesitation. "We'll et King Gilgash there."

As she spoke, she looked toward rlin with certainty.

"Right, Mr. rlin?"

"Of course."

Mash's eyes lit up slightly. She turned toward Shirou Emiya.

"Then, Mr. Emiya... will you co with us?"

"Of course," Shirou Emiya replied with a smile.

"In that case, let's go."

With those words, rlin naturally took on the role of guide and began walking in the direction of Uruk.

...

"Is that so?" Shirou Emiya asked as they walked. "So Ana's goal is to go to the temple and kill the goddess?"

"That's right," Ana replied flatly. "That's why I don't want to go to human settlents at all. I hate humans."

"Don't say that," Shirou Emiya said calmly. "After all, haste makes waste."

"With your current strength, it would be very difficult for you to approach the temple. Especially with Enkidu there."

"So it's better to go to Uruk first and gather strength."

They continued walking through the desolate wilderness as Shirou Emiya, rlin, and Ana exchanged words. Half a day had already passed since they set out toward Uruk.

In that short span of ti, thanks to rlin's easygoing nature and Shirou Emiya's naturally high charm, the five of them had grown quite close. The atmosphere between them had beco unexpectedly friendly.

"Speaking of which," Ritsuka Fujimaru said suddenly as she walked alongside them, "the current king of Uruk is Gilgash, right?"

"That's right." rlin turned around, spread his hands, and smiled. "It's that famous tyrant, known throughout human history."

"Because the gods were too arrogant, he severed ties with them."

"He took all the beauties of the country for himself and claid all the treasures in the world."

"Agreeing with the king ant death. Disagreeing also ant death."

"He's an extrely unreasonable king."

"Huh?" Ritsuka blinked. "That brutal?"

She clearly hadn't known much about Gilgash before this. Seeing her reaction, Mash quickly began telling her all the stories she knew about him.

After listening, Ritsuka Fujimaru's expression grew even more troubled.

"That's really... hard to describe."

Such a king sounded incredibly difficult to deal with.

Noticing her worry, Shirou Emiya smiled lightly.

"Don't be discouraged, Ritsuka Fujimaru. rlin is just ssing with you."

"Eh?" Ritsuka looked at him quickly. "What do you an?"

"Didn't you forget?" Shirou Emiya said. "rlin already ntioned it when he first appeared."

"The current Gilgash is the one after he searched for the elixir of immortality."

"According to historical records, he should be in the phase of a wise king now."

"Really?"

Ritsuka imdiately turned her head and stared straight at rlin.

rlin burst out laughing.

At that mont, Ritsuka Fujimaru understood.

She had been tricked.

"Ana was right," she said flatly. "rlin really is a liar."

"Haha, am I?" rlin replied, completely unfazed.

Ritsuka could only sigh helplessly.

Watching the scene, Shirou Emiya also smiled.

"Fortunately, the current Gilgash is already in his later years," he said. "If he were still in his youth, the first person I'd get rid of after arriving in Uruk would be him."

"Eh?" Mash asked in surprise. "Even if he's a tyrant... is that really okay?"

"Why not?" Shirou Emiya replied casually. "Gilgash and I have crossed paths many tis."

"That guy in his youth was just... incredibly regrettable."

Shirou Emiya was well aware of his destined encounters with Gilgash. Fortunately, there had been no Gilgash in his original world. Even Angra Mainyu, who once used his card, hadn't been that irritating.

And the young Gilgash in Illya's world had been quite decent.

Only the youthful Gilgash himself had been universally detestable.

"It seems Mr. Emiya has quite a few legendary stories of his own," Ritsuka Fujimaru said with a sigh.

The road to Uruk stretched on ahead.
