As Shirou Emiya and Verethragna fought their decisive battle within Unlimited Blade Works, the three figures guarding the outside-Shuna, Erica, and Liliana-paced back and forth in restless circles.
Their anxiety was obvious.
Before Shirou Emiya had forcibly pulled Verethragna into Unlimited Blade Works, all three of them had clearly seen it.
His ultimate move had been broken.
He had fallen into a disadvantage.
It was precisely because of that scene that none of them could calm down.

Her eyes sharpened.
"As long as the trap itself can't directly defeat Lord Shirou, the final victor will inevitably be him."
As Shirou Emiya's secretary, Shuna understood better than anyone how terrifying his combat experience was.
She knew how many thods he possessed to overturn desperate situations.
After a short mont of anxiety, her confidence returned completely.
Seeing Shuna's expression, Liliana and Erica gradually cald down as well.
"Yes," Erica said softly. "We believe that too."

The next instant, space itself shattered.

Shirou Emiya and Verethragna reappeared in the open world, along with an overwhelming sea of weapons suspended in the air.
"Why are the Protheus Stone Slabs here?!"
Verethragna stared at the stone slab that had appeared behind him, stealing his authority, disbelief written across his face.
Before agreeing to this final battle, he had secretly observed Shirou Emiya for a long ti.
The sudden appearance of the Protheus Stone Slabs in this city had been a potential flaw in his plans.
Because of that, he had paid close attention to every anomaly around Shirou Emiya.
After all, within the Protheus Stone Slabs, there still existed the authority of a sealed god.
Before that authority was released, the slab could not steal the authorities of other Heretic Gods.
In that state, it posed no threat to him.
Because of this, until the very start of the battle, Verethragna had not seen Shirou Emiya release the authority contained within the slab.
As a result, he had greatly lowered his assessnt of the Protheus Stone Slabs' danger.
After all, to use it properly, Shirou Emiya would first need to release the stored authority.
That would give him ti to prepare.
Ti to guard against it.
But that mont never ca.
Shirou Emiya never took out the slab.
Never released the authority.
And so, during the battle, Verethragna's vigilance toward the Protheus Stone Slabs dropped to its absolute lowest.
Yet even so-
He still fell for it.
And the mont he did, everything beca clear.
"...It's a projection?"
Verethragna's eyes widened.
Not the genuine divine artifact.
A projection.
A weaker imitation.
He couldn't understand it.
How could he have known that Shirou Emiya had never intended to use the real Protheus Stone Slabs in the first place?
This was sothing Shirou Emiya had only decided mid-battle.
Although confusion flashed through Verethragna's mind, it no longer mattered.
That was already in the past.
Right now, what mattered was identifying which authority had been stolen.
Then he realized it.
Not White Horse.
Not Warrior.
But-
"Phoenix?!"
"Damn it!"
Verethragna reacted instantly.
But it was already too late.
All around him, countless weapons carrying the concept of severing were already flying toward him.
"This is the Myriad Swords Returning to the Origin."
Shirou Emiya slowly clenched his fist, looking up at Verethragna in the sky.
This was the mont he had been waiting for.
"No!"
"I absolutely will not be defeated here!"
Even after losing Phoenix, Verethragna refused to accept defeat and imdiately tried to flee.
But his speed was no longer enough.
The flying swords closed in rapidly.
In an instant, they caught up.
"No-!"
Piercing sounds rang out one after another.
Verethragna's body was impaled in mid-air by thousands of swords.

Shirou Emiya walked forward step by step across the heavily scarred ground, approaching the pierced War God as he calmly declared the outco.
Then his legs gave out.
He collapsed to the ground.

As his consciousness faded, he knew he would once again descend to the Netherworld.

In his hazy state, voices reached him from afar.

"You ca just in ti," Shirou Emiya murmured softly. "Shuna. Erica. Liliana."
With that, his consciousness sank completely.
When Shirou Emiya awoke again, a familiar ceiling entered his vision.
"...Sa ceiling," he muttered. "Looks like I'm back at Lucrezia's house again."
He couldn't help but complain.
His mood, however, was clearly excellent.
"Even though that cheap foster mother saw through my ability to retain mories and got curious about ..."
"It doesn't really matter anymore."

"I'm already a Campione."
