"Don't worry. Don't worry."
"With here, no one is destroying our village."
That was the reason Emiya Shirou didn't follow Rimuru to the human city.
He already knew what would happen.
When Rimuru went to the human world, the City of Emiya would be attacked by humans. Shion would die in that incident. She wouldn't be resurrected until Rimuru beca a Demon Lord.
Emiya Shirou had seen all of this before.
Not firsthand.
But through the bullet comnts of his previous life.
He didn't know the exact cause. He didn't know the precise sequence of events. But he knew the result.
And he didn't want it to happen.
Even if the city would eventually be restored.
Even if everything would be reversed later.
This city bore his na.
He wasn't willing to watch it be destroyed once just to follow the original tiline.
That was why he didn't ask to accompany Rimuru to the human world.
As for Rimuru himself being attacked by powerful humans-
In the original tiline, Rimuru survived.
And the current Rimuru was far stronger.
They trained together often.
There was little reason to worry.
Still.
Emiya Shirou wasn't the type to leave things entirely to chance.
"I can't go with you to the human world to protect you," Emiya Shirou said calmly.
"But I prepared sothing for you."
He placed three exquisitely crafted cards on the table and pushed them toward Rimuru.
"Because of ti and material constraints, I worked overti to finish these after you told about the trip."
"These are...?" Rimuru asked, picking one up, surprised.
"They're item cards," Emiya Shirou replied. "Weapons sealed inside."
He leaned back slightly.
"I've already activated what's inside them."
The idea wasn't new.
He had Class Cards as a reference. These were just an alternate form of magic scrolls. Difficult, but manageable.
"Inside these three cards," Emiya Shirou continued, "are three Noble Phantasms. Already activated. Their output is equivalent to using them personally."
He tapped the table lightly.
"Ryo-Sun-The Sun, Obey Death."
"Surrounding Small World-Enuma Elish."
"And Rule Breaker."
"Attack. Defense. Magic-breaking."
He paused.
"I won't explain attack or defense."
"The important one is magic-breaking."
Emiya Shirou's tone grew more serious.
"With your strength, if soone truly threatens you, it'll likely be people from the Western Holy Church."
"They use barriers that suppress monster power."
"For soone like you, who lacks innate magic-breaking abilities, that's extrely dangerous."
"That's why I made this."
"With Rule Breaker, any magic can be instantly dispelled."
"Barriers. Traps. Suppression fields."
"All useless."
Rimuru listened silently.
Then smiled.
"Thank you, Shirou."
"Don't ntion it," Emiya Shirou said. "You're my little sister, after all."
"...I understand, Brother Shirou."
This ti, Rimuru didn't refute it.
She simply accepted it.
Then she turned toward everyone present.
"I'll leave the town to all of you."
"Leave it to us, Lord Rimuru," Shion, Shuna, and the others replied in unison.
Their voices were firm.
After deciding to go to the human world, Rimuru didn't depart imdiately.
There were still matters to handle with the Dwarf Kingdom.
That relationship was too important to rush.
There was also the matter of waiting for his guides.
The Elen trio.
After contacting them through Souei, Rimuru waited.
It was only natural.
He had never been to the human world before.
In addition, before eting Shizu Izawa's students, Rimuru needed to negotiate an alliance with the Kingdom of Burmund-the nation the trio belonged to.
He also needed certification from Phitz, the Free Guild's branch manager, in order to et the guild's general manager, Yuuki Kagurazaka.
Because of all that, he remained in the City of Emiya for a little longer.
But not long.
The Elen trio arrived quickly after receiving his ssage.
And soon after-
Rimuru departed for the human world.
"She's already gone to the human world."
Emiya Shirou patted Benimaru and the others on the shoulder, his gaze lingering briefly on the spot where Rimuru had vanished.
"Let's go back."
"Yes," Shion said, her voice tinged with sadness. "Lord Rimuru probably won't be back for a long ti..."
"That's not necessarily true," Emiya Shirou replied.
He sounded certain.
"Don't forget. Rimuru can use transfer magic."
"She can co back whenever she wants."
"Oh, right!"
Shion clapped her hands, suddenly energized.
"Then Lord Rimuru might co back very soon!"
Her eyes lit up.
"In that case, I can't waste ti!"
"I need to work extra hard and impress Lord Rimuru while she's gone!"
She drifted off into her imagination, grinning widely.
Drool began to drip.
Then-
She vanished.
Watching her disappear, Emiya Shirou and the others exchanged glances.
Then burst out laughing.
"Typical Shion."
"Exactly."
The heavy mood lifted instantly.
Everyone shook their heads and went back to their respective duties.
After Rimuru left, the City of Emiya remained calm.
No incidents.
No disturbances.
Everything progressed smoothly.
Not long after her departure, Youm returned.
This ti, however, he wasn't alone.
Standing beside him was a beautiful woman.
"A demon..."
From the elevated seat in the eting hall, Emiya Shirou saw through her instantly.
"At a ti like this... why would a high-ranking demon appear here?"
His thoughts moved quickly.
"An advance scout?"
"An observer?"
Or-
An enemy.
Demon Lord Clayman surfaced in his mind imdiately.
If demons were involved, a Demon Lord was never far behind.
And Clayman was the one Rimuru would eventually kill.
Given Rimuru's personality, Emiya Shirou was certain of one thing.
Clayman had made the first move.
Which ant-
The demon below was very likely one of his subordinates.
"Whether she's connected to Clayman or not..."
"She can't be ignored."
With that decision made, Emiya Shirou summoned a crow.
Invisible.
Silent.
"Monitor her," he ordered. "At all tis."
"Yes, Lord Emiya."
The crow vanished.
Emiya Shirou gave the demon one last glance.
Then turned away.
Returning to his room.
To continue his research.
