Near the battlefield, space twisted — and tore open.
Morion turned, his eyes lighting up as he saw a massive spatial channel forming.
From within it, the first thing to erge... were two young-looking humans.
One was a short, slim woman with long braided hair. Beside her stood a young man of average height, lean build, and calm expression.
The mont their eyes landed on the battlefield, their auras changed completely. It was like the stillness before a storm.
Morion took a deep breath. That aura... those red eyes... that rare green hair on a human... everything about it reminded him of soone.
Suddenly, an army of over a hundred thousand figures started pouring out of the channel. There were all kinds of humans, but also elves and sea Beasts.
Right behind them, a familiar face approached the two in front — it was Cyaos, the generational standout among humans.
Then...
The small woman clenched her fists, and the man beside her drew a spear.
*Wooooooooosh!*
In an instant, the entire battlefield froze.
A white light, bright as the sun, burst from the man. Next to him, a pitch-black and terrifying light flared from the woman.
It was as if two suns — one white, one black — had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Both grew and grew, expanding for thousands of kiloters.
At the center of it all, the woman pointed coldly.
"GO!"
Right then, a smaller group moved behind her — only about 150 humans. They charged together, and as they raised their hands, glowing marks appeared on their fists and pulsed.
A mont later, it was like reality itself bent and twisted.
Phantom-like shadows erged ahead of them. They ca in all sizes, ethereal and wrapped in a dark aura.
"Shadow Tar..." Morion muttered, eyes wide.
Over the last ten years, everyone in the universe had heard about this terrifying new Spiritual Technique that ca from Earth.
It hadn’t been classified as Immortal level only because there were barely 150 people capable of using it — and no new practitioners had appeared since. It was said to still be flawed and incomplete, preventing others from mastering it.
Even so, the feats of those few were legendary — every mission they completed left behind remarkable records.
Now, that small army of Heroic Shadows moved. And right away, the forces of Runedell understood they were the enemy.
"Kill those things quickly!" roared the Emperor of Runedell, ordering the humans of the Wube family forward.
The power of shadows was described as abnormal — impossible to contain quickly, even for many with nine rings. If they had to face them directly, the Beast army would take advantage. So they needed to destroy them as fast as possible.
A thousand humans rushed in together. Without hesitation, they activated the Karmic Curse and attacked.
But...
When their curses touched the shadows, they simply vanished inside them.
Then...
"!"
Everyone felt the aura of those shadows swell — growing even stronger.
"Pathetic. Kill them all!" the small human woman shouted coldly.
Almost everyone on both sides stood stunned. Morion, though, only smiled faintly. He had already seen Darian completely nullify that curse back at the banquet.
Now, he was sure.
"THE MISSIONARY HAS SENT HIS POWER! KILL THEM ALL!"
***
On the planet Runedell.
The battle of the thirty thousand beasts against the humanoids was a real massacre. Soon, everyone realized the steel wall they had thrown themselves against and tried to flee. But their faces had been seen, and now they could only leave the planet and never co back.
anwhile, Darian’s battle had turned into a spectacle of explosions and deafening blasts.
But now, he was insanely hard to kill. After returning to the planet, he had automatically absorbed all the karma of the dead from the explosion, and since then, he kept devouring and accumulating more and more, gaining white power.
In other words, those three old n could burn all their energy and recover it twenty tis over — and still not kill him.
The daggers in Darian’s hands moved with lethal agility. At the first mistake one of them made, he could poison them completely, and actually kill soone with nine rings. But that was extrely difficult and depended on luck.
The fight dragged on for several minutes in a stalemate until...
The three old n stopped. They smiled — and stepped back.
In the skies, space warped, and a tall, slender figure appeared from the void.
It was a half-elf with a glowing mark pulsing on his forehead. With his arrival, the whole area froze completely, and every living being felt suffocated.
Darian lifted his cold gaze upward, and the immortal stared back at him.
"How bold... or stupid. Maybe both."
As he spoke, his eyes shone, locking onto Darian. In the next second, his expression changed completely — in shock.
"What the hell... this... you’re a missionary?!" he shouted, tense, after trying to read Darian’s soul and getting absolutely nothing.
The three old n’s eyes went wide at those words. A Missionary was a being surrounded by rumors and stories across countless universes. The more powerful and ancient a Spiritual Guardian was, the more they’d heard of this legendary figure — but no one truly knew if one actually existed.
The only way to confirm it was when soone who had transcended mortality used their power to probe such a person — and found a barrier above even Immortal power. That alone ant the person really was a Missionary of Heaven’s Will.
"Hahahaha... excellent! Who would’ve thought I’d get this lucky? A Missionary personally ca to my ho to surrender himself." The Immortal started laughing, thrilled.
Darian scoffed. Then...
*Buzz!*
Space split open, and a scarlet figure erged from the void. Her wings spread wide, and the power of an Immortal exploded outward like a violent wave.
Darian turned toward Painita and sighed... she really ca.
Even without him explaining anything, she had co to fight to protect him, fully aware of the consequences. It was forbidden for an Immortal to attack another’s territory, and by doing so, the half-elf could summon the others to kill her.
In other words, she didn’t care about her own life. She’d probably made Emperor Morion attack the enemy army just to stall them — to keep them from returning to the planet too soon.
She had passed the test — and even better, everything was unfolding just as Darian had predicted. He didn’t know whether to feel relieved or terrified. Usually, things like this were a flag for sothing even worse to co.
"You half-beast bitch! What the hell do you think you’re doing invading my territory?!" the half-elf roared.
Painita narrowed her eyes and replied coldly, "I don’t intend to attack your territory. I only ca to bring them back ho. But if you won’t cooperate, I’ll use force."
"Hahahahaha... with just you?"
The half-elf laughed, drawing his weapon — a small reddish-yellow bow. It looked well-crafted, though smaller than usual and not that impressive at first glance.
"!"
Darian’s eyes went wide instantly. That... he was sure of it — that was the *Celestial Solar Bow*!
He had earned that bow as a reward from the Earth’s array, then handed it over to the empire, and in the end, it had ended up with Nayara. There couldn’t be two of them. How the hell did this man have it?
Darian’s chest tightened. He had been gone from Earth for ten years, and under the influence of the Wube family and their allied empires, his clan and allies must’ve suffered deeply. Even Emperor Blaine, from his holand, had always seed more aligned with the Wube family than with him.
Seeing that bow in soone else’s hands ant a lot of things — none of them good.
The sound of the bowstring stretching filled the air.
The Immortal aid his arrow at Painita, his gaze cold.
"I can’t kill you alone, even though you’re far weaker. So I’ll be generous this ti — leave quietly with your tail between your legs, and I’ll overlook this invasion. But if you stay, I’ll summon the others and make sure you can’t escape. Your fate will only be death."
Painita snorted and glanced at Darian on the ground, then at the thirty thousand mbers of the royal family frozen in the middle of the ruined city.
Then she raised her hand — and her Spiritual Technique burst to full power. The scarlet energy around her twisted and condensed, forming a small blood lotus in front of her.
She spoke coldly, "I already said it before... I ca to bring them back ho. I don’t care about your threats."
"Good, good," the half-elf spat, then made a small gesture. A golden rune appeared before him.
*Crack!*
The rune shattered, and the sound echoed across the entire planet.
Painita swallowed hard. That was the ergency summon of the Seven Immortals. She had one too — and now, there was no turning back.
She clenched her fists, and the blood lotus began to spin. No matter the cost, she was ready to die that day, as long as Darian managed to escape.
But...
"Impressive. You really love a show, huh?" Darian’s mocking voice echoed from the ground.
The half-elf turned down toward him, his expression hardening.
Painita also turned — and when she saw Darian’s calm, relaxed expression, for so reason, she felt like he had everything under control. But her logical mind scread that it was impossible.
She took a deep breath and said, "Darian... we don’t have much ti. They’ll all be here in five minutes at most. I’ll go all out — you have to get as far away as possible."
The half-elf pulled the bowstring to its limit, aiming at Darian without hesitation. "Run? In your dreams."
Darian, however, nodded. "Indeed. Why would I run?"
Painita narrowed her eyes, feeling a hint of despair. She wasn’t strong enough to handle this half-elf — and if Darian didn’t cooperate, everything would be lost.
Darian turned to her, eting her gaze directly, a calm and light smile on his face.
"There’s no need to wait. So of them are already here. We’ll end this quickly."
*BUZZZ!*
The mont Darian said that, the skies over the planet changed.
Space twisted, and from two different directions, two figures erged from the void.
Their Immortal power flared, swallowing the entire planet at once.
Every living being felt an apocalyptic premonition — the fragile planet and everything on it could sense total collapse approaching. Four Immortals had appeared simultaneously, all releasing their power without restraint.
On one side stood a Demoness with a completely emotionless expression. On the other hand, a mber of the Charming Eyes Race radiating a pure, overwhelming aura.
"What the hell...?" the half-elf spat, stunned.
Painita went pale, realizing this was the end. There was no longer any chance to make Darian flee, because she recognized that Demoness very well. That woman was cold and wicked — she definitely ca to take everything from Darian.
Until she noticed sothing strange.
Caliris and Aurix both turned their gazes toward Darian on the ground — but their expressions weren’t filled with greed.
Suddenly, the two vanished. A mont later, they reappeared beside him on the ground.
Aurix bowed deeply, while Caliris knelt, pressing her forehead to the floor.
"Greetings, Lord Missionary!"
Their voices echoed submissively, without the slightest trace of defiance.
Seeing that, Painita and the half-elf froze completely — stunned beyond words.
