"Raise your weapons! Kill every threat in front of you!" shouted Niara, flapping her wings and pointing at the sea of enemy beasts.
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
The small sprouts, who already understood and could speak a few words, roared. Right behind them, many others shouted and charged forward.
A little over eight thousand drew their weapons and charged at the enemy army, which was three tis larger.
The sprouts made up almost 99% of the army. They ford a massive frontline and crashed straight into the sea of beasts.
A violent sound echoed as the beasts collided with the sprouts... but it was like hitting a steel wall. They didn’t fall back even a single step. The wood power within their bodies was sothing pure and abnormal. It gave them unmatched defensive and regenerative abilities. But obviously, it wasn’t infinite.
Right behind them, the Spiritual Guardians pushed their blessings to the limit, while more explosive arrows kept raining down non-stop.
*BOOM!*
They were going all-out, taking advantage of the ultimate shield the sprouts provided. Countless beasts exploded. The sll of blood in the air was intense, only fueling everyone’s killing intent even more.
The enemy leaders had been expecting sothing like this. Four figures were in command — the most dangerous and powerful among them.
The Risen dwarf, clearly the top leader, stood at the front.
At his side was a Summoner, and on his shoulder, a small creature that looked like a red pixie. It was Clekul, the traitorous Spiritual Guardian from planet Harrier.
Right behind those two was a completely black humanoid figure — the transford version of that powerful black tree from earlier. Near her stood a beast that looked like a lion, over ten ters tall — the leader of the wild beasts.
They watched the clash closely.
The sprouts were just as tough and hard to kill as a Risen Lord. But they could only defend and block with their bodies. After taking enough hits, they’d weaken until their energy ran out. It was only a matter of ti...
After a few seconds, the four leaders saw sothing that made their eyes go wide...
The sprouts were holding small blades. They moved them clumsily, but they attacked the beasts — and the ones they hit were soon gravely injured and died not long after.
A rune pulsed on the blades.
They were clearly rune seals. Darian had given the sprouts the weapons stolen from the assassins.
He had wiped out that whole clan and stolen more than he could count. Before returning to Earth, he left half of those weapons at the academy in this universe. Since he knew a large-scale battle could happen, Darian had brought the rest in his inventory.
There weren’t enough to arm all eight thousand — only half. But that was enough: half could focus on defense while the other half tried to attack. Even with clumsy moves, just landing a few hits was enough to inflict massive wounds on the beasts.
So, the sprouts weren’t just a shield. They blocked the beasts’ advance and dealt serious damage at the sa ti.
Behind them, powerful blessings, explosive arrows, and martial arts provided support and added even more area damage.
"How the hell do they have weapons that powerful?!"
Seeing that, the enemy leaders were shaken.
"Those... ca from that Mannaz clan!" — the Risen dwarf recognized them right away. Being a dwarf, he had sharp eyes for that kind of thing.
"Should we attack? We could kill them and take those weapons," the Black Tree in the back suggested.
More than four thousand terrifying weapons, with power beyond the core weapons of the Risen. Naturally, that was incredibly tempting.
"No need. The Risen can’t charge forward, or that weird power will be used again. Even though they’re much, much weaker, the Beasts are enough to wipe them out or wear them down. I’ll support the beasts from a safe distance. When they’re exhausted, we’ll strike the final blow and take everything." — Clekul’s voice sounded cold as she watched the fight ahead.
The Risen dwarf nodded. By using the beasts as a shield, their side’s Spiritual Guardians could freely use their blessings and keep the pressure on until the end. Then he thought of sothing and turned to another Risen Chief he trusted.
Niara and Darian stood close to the World Tree, watching the battle carefully. Right behind them were Amara, Udynes, Veyle, and the twins.
Except for Veyle, they were all gripping their weapons, watching the battle anxiously, ready to fight. But they were waiting for orders — Darian had plans for everyone. Veyle, in fact, was already working in secret, alongside Athven.
The chaos went on for a few more minutes. Countless beasts kept dying nonstop, while the allied army didn’t suffer a single loss — the sprouts blocked any enemy from breaking through the front line.
*BUZZ!*
Suddenly, a loud buzzing echoed. A colorful mass of small figures filled the distant sky. It was only about a hundred flying creatures approaching, but they gave off such an intense pressure that the whole atmosphere trembled.
"Elental Summoning..." Darian muttered as he saw those winged figures.
He sensed, through his rings, an invisible thread linking each one of them to the ground. And there, standing still, were the traitor Spiritual Guardians.
Elental Summoning was a very rare type of blessing, mostly because it was extrely hard and complex. Those who chose it were considered mages. Basically, it used the ring’s pure energy and an elent to create a solid creature that could fight from a distance.
It wasn’t alive, had no soul... but blessings distorted reality, and once the base was created, the entity gained so magical ability to simulate a real creature. It could even follow orders and communicate.
Each body was about half a ter long, and every one of them was ford from a different natural elent. Their offensive power was massive — and the worst part, the blessing only created one creature at a ti, but depending on the summoner’s skill, it could consu less than 1% of the ring’s power.
Which ant, after killing one, the Spiritual Guardian could just summon another right away, without any real cost.
It was an extrely powerful blessing, as long as the Spiritual Guardian stayed safe and protected. Still, it was rarely used, since most people didn’t have the talent to use it efficiently.
Back to the battle, the buzzing filled the air as the elentals flew toward the army. But as they got close...
**BANG!**
An explosion echoed in the air, unleashing a blinding erald light.
The enemy leaders turned toward the World Tree area... then spotted a small floating figure, shaped like a white cat, radiating an abnormal amount of power.
The cat was floating three ters off the ground, and all around it were almost thirty cannons aid at the sky. Each one pulsed with terrifying energy, and none of them were being held by anyone. They had all been built in a rush, using materials salvaged from the battlefield.
Niara turned and smiled when she saw Amara, finally allowed to join the fight.
That was her blessing — called Ruler’s Control. She could control one or several objects with a type of telekinesis. Usually, people with this blessing could manage three to ten objects... but Amara was a little monster.
Everyone in the Rorik family learned one of three very specific blessings: Ruler’s Control, for remote manipulation, or one that enhanced their armor — those two were ant for combat. The third one was a blessing that made forging chanisms easier.
The cousins Amara brought had exactly that forge-based blessing. Thanks to them, Amara had managed to build those cannons so quickly. The two of them were more support-focused in that universe, and now, in the middle of the fight, they were helping out with small devices. On Earth, with their armors, they could fight more freely.
Amara’s Summoner stood on the ground just behind her, holding a cannon similar to hers.
*BANG BANG BANG!*
Dozens of shots with devastating potential rang out. Haruto and his two allies also aid their arrows skyward, helping out. Their attacks had massive range, and they blew up the elentals in the air before they even got close to the army.
Even though the elentals had terrifying offensive power, their weakness was their low durability. If they could at least get close to the enemy, they could explode and deal serious damage — but if taken down midair before getting close, they beca useless.
Darian had saved Amara for this mont. Irana had told him that Planet Number 7 was known for having a lot of people who used elental summoning blessings. So, he only revealed Haruto and his allies at first, making the enemies believe the three of them alone couldn’t handle it... but Amara was worth more than thirty of them.
The enemy leaders narrowed their eyes at the sight.
Their rear was blocked by the wooden wall. The skies were protected by ballistae and cannons. On all three ground fronts, the sprouts and warriors held the line and kept slaughtering beasts without taking a single hit...
"How the hell are they this strong?!" the Risen dwarf snapped.
An hour passed, and they still showed no sign of exhaustion. On the contrary: their auras still glowed with power as they fought. The reason was that every few minutes, they pulled out potions and pills and downed them.
Veyle had prepared enough for them to fight for three tis that long. As long as they didn’t suffer any serious injuries, they could keep recovering and fighting nonstop.
All that intense training Darian had put them through on the earlier planets was way harder than killing these beasts. They fought calmly and safely, still managing to support the new arrivals.
The Risen dwarf turned to Clekul. That red pixie was on the ground, eyes closed in concentration.
He was worried, but still confident. After all, he had more than a few hidden weapons up his sleeve. And the most terrifying of them all... was without a doubt that Spiritual Guardian.
A few minutes later, the pixie opened their eyes with a wicked expression.
"Watch out down there!"
Irana, in the middle of the battlefield, suddenly yelled. Right after, the ground beneath everyone exploded.
