Darian shouted coldly. Right then, he was finally using all the power of his ring at once, holding nothing back. It would be a good test for his limits.
*BUZZ!!*
The whole world shook and buzzed. But... it wasn’t the trial tir...
The entire ground lit up, and small colorful runes appeared, moving quickly.
Everyone’s eyes widened. The runes all rushed toward Darian, as the seven stars, along with his rings, summoned everything.
In seconds, everything was swallowed by an intense, multi-colored light.
Everyone surrounding him froze, terrified, feeling like a cold blade was pressed to their throats.
Darian looked at all of them with a cold stare.
"Myriad Whirlwind Flare!"
A burst of power exploded out. Woldi was imdiately blasted far away, hit by a giant blade of wind and fire.
The massive force tore through everything, making reality and illusion overlap and collapse.
**RUMBLE!**
People watched as a beam of light shot far into the distance, ripping through the ground and leaving a long trail of smoke. The beam didn’t stop until it slamd hard against the trial barrier.
As for the others, they were all forced to step back from the waves of power.
The whole move took just three seconds. Then, countless small blades of wind and fire rained down over the thousands of enemies.
"I’ve wasted enough ti. Let’s finish this." His voice ca out dry.
*Whoosh!*
With Tempest Blink, he vanished and appeared right in the middle of the crowd. At the sa ti, the blades from the Whirlwind Flare fell.
*KBOOM!*
The ground shook and trembled over and over again. It felt like everything was spinning around the enemies, completely covered in fire, wind, and lightning. At the sa ti, the daggers spun and attacked.
"BASTARD!!"
Screams echoed through the chaos. In that mont, both friends and enemies felt a chill deep inside. This kind of power was terrifying.
Those watching from a distance couldn’t even see anything — there was just too much light, too many elents flying everywhere.
anwhile, Irana, Udynes, and Barod stood there, completely stunned. Lucius and Lucy, on the other hand, kept watching their surroundings carefully.
"Co on... hurry up..." a soft voice suddenly sounded near Udynes.
She turned to the twins, confused.
"You really think big bro’s gonna kill them all? Those idiots have supre artifacts. He doesn’t. Bro’s just buying ti... getting a bit of exercise."
Irana and Barod also turned to Lucy, now totally shocked at those words.
"Big bro’s counting on us for this. There. Let’s go, fast." Lucy said impatiently, pointing to a spot at the edge of the battlefield — exactly where Woldi had been thrown.
Lucius moved, explaining, "Darian could’ve easily killed Woldi... but he never did. He even let him rest. This was part of our plan. We need your help."
Udynes didn’t fully understand, but she nodded. They quickly asked her to use her power. Her blessing was called Sylph Manifestation.
She was the one who helped everyone move and saved Irana earlier. Her body turned ethereal, like a true Sylph, letting her move with the wind and even manipulate space itself.
Lucius and Lucy positioned themselves next to Udynes. They took a deep breath... then an extrely dense light poured out from both of them.
The light didn’t fade — on the contrary, it grew stronger and stronger, until it blinded everyone nearby.
Along with that light, everyone instinctively felt sothing shocking. These two couldn’t be underestimated. Their power could easily rival the strongest people here... even with just one ring each.
The biggest problem... was the sa one Darian was facing. The powerful enemies here had supre artifacts... and they didn’t. That was an overwhelming advantage.
*BANG!*
Right then, Barod and Irana looked over at Darian’s fight.
The violent sounds kept going, but now the light dimd a bit, letting them see part of what was happening. Honestly... Darian had only killed like half a dozen enemies — probably the ones he caught by surprise first.
Now, all the others were surrounding him, attacking in small groups. Didn’t matter if there were thousands; they couldn’t all attack at once or they’d end up killing each other. So it beca a battle of endurance. When one backed off, another stepped in.
As for Darian... he moved like lightning, attacked with the power of a mountain, and worst of all... he was barely getting hurt, and could heal completely in seconds. He was like a real battle god fighting out there.
But... all the enemies were staying sharp, holding onto their artifacts for protection. The daggers sotis aid to kill, but an artifact would twist space or give them a massive boost, letting the target escape.
They already figured out that his daggers were terrifying — his main offensive power.
As for the elental attacks, yeah, they were powerful... but a lot of them had elental blessings that could dampen so of that damage.
And judging by his expression and the fact his power wasn’t dropping at all... Darian could keep this up until the challenge tir ended. aning, he wouldn’t win, but neither would anyone else.
Still, that didn’t make the scene any less terrifying. It was just one person, using only his own strength, against thousands fully geared.
"If he had been born on my planet..." Irana muttered painfully. Even she had two supre artifacts. She already used one before just to not die. The other... wouldn’t help at all right now.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew by.
Irana turned and saw Udynes with her body in ethereal form, wrapped in a greenish aura. Holding her hands, on one side was Lucy, on the other, Lucius.
The light around them turned gray and condensed, then spread to cover Udynes too.
"Go!" Lucy said. Udynes just nodded.
*Woosh!*
The three vanished.
Only those close by felt a small shift in the air. But there was no energy fluctuation or any obvious sign. Probably, everyone further away didn’t even notice what just happened.
Irana took a deep breath. Was that the power of these twins? It was like they had beco one with the elents and just disappeared. It was totally impossible to sense where they went. In a real fight, they’d be terrifying assassins.
At the exact sa second, far from the center, the three appeared near a huge crater.
Lucy and Lucius were breathing heavily. This was super draining and exhausting for them.
They developed this unique ability during the fights inside the array. Each had to fight alone during their turn, and sohow, both ended up creating almost the sa technique without even knowing.
When they t back ho, they showed each other their powers... and realized they fit perfectly — like Yin and Yang reconnecting.
After syncing up, the power was sothing insane. But at the sa ti, it had a flaw. They could rge with the environnt, but the place had to be full of overwhelming energy... or soone needed to control that for them.
The two of them couldn’t control elents or manipulate them directly, so they needed soone to do it for them. That’s where Udynes ca in — soone who could control wind and space at a super high level.
Back in the array, high-level elents were loose in the environnt and could be used freely without resistance. You just needed the ability to move them a bit.
But in a normal fight, that wasn’t the case. aning, the twins had to rely on artifacts... or soone who could cover that weakness.
Udynes looked down into the crater and then realized... Woldi was unconscious. But... the power from his supre artifact was still flowing down from the skies. It was like a little current still feeding him power.
She looked confused at the twins.
"Big bro left a little present inside him," Lucy said, running up quickly.
As she got close to the giant bird’s body, now almost completely plucked, the light around Lucy turned black.
With a simple wave of her hand, Woldi’s eyes snapped open.
"!"
Udynes almost jumped in shock, but then realized... his eyes were completely black.
Lucy smiled and activated her blessing. The light shifted and started interacting with the dark power inside him. Yeah, she couldn’t use Darian’s dark power directly, but since her spiritual root had a deep connection to him, she learned how to interact with it.
"Hehehe... this is one of the three siblings’ new secret techniques! I call it... Sinful Enchantnt!" she said excitedly.
This was sothing only she could do — her specialty was in the dark side of the blessing.
During those few days at ho before the trial, the three of them trained a bit, did so experints, and figured out new ways their powers could work together.
Suddenly, Woldi moved his wings.
A small glowing object floated up — it was a spatial ring. Woldi made a tiny motion.
*Crack!*
Udynes was shocked. That was clearly the sound of a seal breaking.
All the geniuses from high-ranked planets used spatial rings with seals. That way, they could never be stolen. If the owner died, the ring itself was almost a supre artifact.
It would automatically disappear into space, flying far, far away. At the sa ti, people from the owner’s planet would get an alert of the death... plus the ring’s location, so they could recover it and get everything back.
The only way to stop all that... was if the owner themselves willingly broke the seal. There were chanisms to stop manipulation... which obviously didn’t work here.
"Great, thanks," Lucy said, grabbing the ring.
She quickly ran back over to Lucius and Udynes.
The whole thing took less than a minute.
Suddenly, the three teleported back to where they were before — right in the middle of the alliances — like nothing had ever happened.
Nobody from outside saw it. Nobody from outside even noticed... Woldi’s ring had just magically vanished.
Then...
Lucy put the ring on her finger and pulled out a golden pearl.
Up in the sky... the supre artifact, which was still open and feeding power to Woldi... suddenly trembled... and collapsed.
The golden pearl in Lucy’s hands now had a white mark in the center. That ant the supre artifact — and everything else — now belonged to them.
Darian knew he couldn’t beat all those enemies. And he also knew he couldn’t just rob them. So... he did all this just to, at least, walk away with a few extra presents from one really generous idiot.
