Chapter 1142: Chapter 111: Yan Fu’s Gift (2)

“Plankton?”

Xu Shu was slightly taken aback and shifted his attention away from the pleasing tactile sensation of the rmaid’s leg, observing the surroundings and instantly noticing sothing indeed different.

In his vision, the rmaid, probably because she was quite enjoying it, had her fish mouth wide open, spitting out one after another very tiny, mosquito-sized transparent plankton.

At first, Xu Shu thought she was just blowing bubbles and didn’t think much of it.

Upon closer examination, he finally noticed the difference.

These plankton were not only extrely small but also seed to exist between illusion and reality. If it wasn’t for holding the rmaid, he would never have discovered them.

It seems that wearing the rmaid is like putting on a special pair of glasses, opening the door to a new world.

It’s worth ntioning that these tiny plankton looked like super mini octopuses in shape.

They hovered around the fish mouth, going out from it and returning through the fish gills, in and out, like bees tirelessly working.

“You an those small creatures spitting from the fish’s mouth? What are those strange things?” Xu Shu pointed at the rmaid’s mouth with so surprise.

Xie Xiaochan scanned the delighted expression of the rmaid before saying with a twist of her lips: “You can see them now? Then that’s fine. These insects are called ‘Mang Worms’. Their relationship with the Mang is like that between ants and the queen ant, though not completely the sa; I’m just making a comparison.”

“The ‘Mang’ has peculiar habits; if soone bonds with it and engages in this cross-species forbidden love, it’s as though the Queen found a prince consort, indirectly commanding the ‘Mang Worms’ to protect you and retaliate against your enemies.”

“These ‘Mang Worms’ have the unique ability to completely devour the corpse spirit’s flesh and blood fragnts, preventing them from dividing further and reviving!”

“Thus, one can truly kill the corpse spirits and curse spirits within the relics!”

“I see!” Xu Shu exclaid with sudden realization, though he was still sowhat puzzled.

This oddity, it seed unfamiliar in his legendary tales… but maybe that was normal, since supposedly, the ‘Japan’ in this relic world should have sunk.

Relics are inherently mysterious and unpredictable, and it’s not surprising for strange occurrences to happen.

Perhaps these things only appeared after Japan sank.

Moreover, comparing them to the queen ant and ants, it might as well be a parasite inside the rmaid? After all, they seem to make the fish body their ho and nest?

Thinking about that gave him a slight chill down his spine…

With that thought, Xu Shu suddenly asked, “Wait, can you see them?”

Xie Xiaochan nodded: “This thing can only be seen through intimate contact with the Mang.”

“Then how do you know so much about them?”

“Ha, just because I haven’t seen them doesn’t an I haven’t heard about them. I’ve done a lot of research!”

Xie Xiaochan proudly patted her chest and continued, “Of course, according to experiences shared by so people, this form of command is relatively basic.”

“For one, rmaids are not good creatures, training with them takes quite a toll and burden on the body, and other professions basically can’t handle this exaggerated seizure; even a warrior needs a veterinarian’s assistance.

“On the other hand, you can’t actually command the Mang Worms as if they were your own arms; they protect spontaneously, with a very limited attack range, probably just within a ter around you? You should give it a try.”

As she spoke, Xie Xiaochan stepped aside, watching Xu Shu with so anticipation.

Seeing this, Xu Shu also prepared himself.

He glanced at the Tai Chu Scroll and found that ever since he held the rmaid, up until now, the Tai Chu Scroll had given no clues.

Could it also not recognize the origin of this entity?

Xu Shu felt sowhat astonished but didn’t dwell on it. He stepped wearing the “Mang” out of the protection zone into the ‘flesh assault’ that covered the sky and earth.

Whoosh!

In the instant he appeared, the surrounding ‘Yan Fu’ creatures seed like wolves slling blood, lunging toward Xu Shu all at once.

Facing the enemy’s attack, Xu Shu dared not be complacent. He imdiately clenched the rmaid’s caudal vertebrae and slapped hard.

Crack!

In response, the rmaid opened her mouth wide, spewing out a torrent of bubbles like a waterfall, each bubble being a peculiar mini squid.

They spontaneously protected Xu Shu, tightly defending his body while extending tentacles to grab the incoming ‘corpse spirit’ fragnts to stuff into their mouths, chewing them with crunching noises.

Successfully capturing the ‘corpse pieces’, the Mang Worms returned to the fish gills to report, and Xu Shu clearly felt the rmaid’s body convulsing, indirectly causing him considerable harm.

It was like undergoing electric shock therapy, causing tingling all over his body.

He had to concentrate to avoid being swallowed by the fish’s mouth.

Yet, the corpse spirits paid no heed to this. They seed to have a great desire for the living, rushing at Xu Shu in waves, appearing eager to enter his flesh for pleasure.

However, these aggressive assaults were all intercepted by the Mang Worms outside.

This was no longer a battle for Xu Shu alone but a sort of city defensive war amongst these microorganisms!

Under the protection of the Mang Worms, Xu Shu’s body surface beca like a thick city wall, preventing any corpse pieces from approaching.

“Heh, without lifting a finger, I can have these corpse spirits all killed and devoured.”

“This thod is quite intriguing, sowhat like opportunistic scavenging.”

“The only downside is, damn it, it’s way too nerve-wracking; who can bear this normally?”
