The first week of the new school term flew by in a blink of an eye.
Friday afternoon.
After gathering on the first floor of the teaching building, Xu Qingfan looked at the empty space next to Wu Lingyu and asked curiously, "Yu, where's your desk mate Siri?"
"Brother Qingfan, can we go have so desserts later, please?"
Seeing Xu Qingfan and Xiao Ruawen coming out from the staircase, Lin Wanning imdiately ran up to them, excited.
"Yes, yes, after a week of the school canteen, I can hardly taste anything anymore!" Before Xu Qingfan could reply, Xiao Ruawen, another foodie, eagerly answered.

Xu Qingfan instantly understood; Siri must have felt awkward about freeloading off them and decided to make up an excuse to drive herself ho.

No sooner had they gotten out of the car than Lin Wanning and Xiao Ruawen, like two wild fawns, began to run freely across the spacious square, embodying unrestrained liberty.
Even though they were day students in high school, the high school's remote location ant that being a day student was pretty much the sa as just having a different place to sleep.
Unlike in middle school, when they could go for walks and buy groceries together after school, if they didn't feel like cooking, they could simply pop over to the neighboring square to dine out, play claw machines, or grab a bite at McDonald's, which was incredibly comfortable.
The most relaxed tis in a person's life are surely those Friday afternoons after school when the sky is dusky and one can wander the streets in school uniforms with close friends.
Xu Qingfan wanted to dwell on that thought, but the next second, Little White was already tugging him at full throttle, chasing after the five girls.
"Damn, slow down, dog!"
"Little White, faster!"
"Even faster!"
"Hahaha..."

The dessert shop they were heading to was just outside the square and, because they were familiar with the owner, Little White was also allowed to co in and lie down under the table.
"Hehe~ The picture is still there!"

After looking at the photo wall, the five girls returned to their table, which was also why they were familiar with the shop owner.

"Just kidding, what I ant to say was that you're cuter because you're 165," Xia Xiaoxiao, feeling like she was being tickled by a cat inside, clarified.
"Hehe, thank you, Xiao Xiao!" Lin Wanning wasn't really angry, and now she was even less likely to be.

But then, sohow, Xiao Ruawen discovered their little secret and even took a photo to share in the group, which caused everyone else to clamor for a photo too.
So, Xu Qingfan ended up taking another solo photo with each of the four girls to put on the wall. The prankster owner, not content with just grouping their photos together, also used sticky notes to add the caption: She's just my sister.
"My good sisters, hurry up and eat!" After dividing the shaved ice, Xu Qingfan handed it out to everyone.
"We know, you stinkin' little brother!"
"Hahaha!"
The five girls spoke in unison, and then as if they had arranged it, they all giggled together.
In certain ways, the five of them did share a mysterious sort of synchronicity.
Xu Qingfan shook his head helplessly, just hoping this harmony wouldn't be used in any weird scenarios in the future.
[Then again, so weird scenarios might not be so bad to try out.]
After a mont, he added that thought to himself.
