After the initial few days of sleepless nights and deep daily slumbers, the six of them gradually adjusted their biological clocks from waking at nine to waking at six.
After moving up to ninth grade, their afternoon class schedule increased from three to four periods, still ending with a study period, but now, dismissal was pushed back from four fifty to five thirty.

"What’s good in that crappy cafeteria, eating bugs every day!"
Downstairs was a large group of seventh graders, rushing to be the first in line for the cafeteria.
Since they were ninth graders with one more class to go, they could only lie on the stairway corridor and watch them while cracking jokes like "haven’t seen a snake pee" and such.
This seed to have beco a part of their relaxation routine, beyond their studies.
Suddenly becoming the largest cohort in the school, aside from complaining about the heavy academic pressure, seeing those new seventh graders inexplicably made them feel a sense of superiority.

Xu Qingfan and the five girls were also standing in the hallway chatting, mainly because the classroom slled too bad.

There were only eight old large ceiling fans working in the classroom, and the sll of sweat and the strange aftertaste of spicy snacks mingled and perated the air; given a choice, they’d rather stay outside for so fresh air.
"Shall we go buy so shaved ice after school? It’s so hot." Xiao Ruawen’s uniform button had co loose, and a bead of sweat slipped into the deep crease.
"I want mango-flavored cotton candy!" Lin Wanning’s eyes lit up instantly.
"Then let’s go, we’re on vacation anyway," said Xu Qingfan, stretching and scratching his back.
Apparently unable to reach, Wu Lingyu thoughtfully used her claws to help him scratch.

"Let’s take Little White and explore a brand new map!" Lin Wanning was the most excited about this activity, as every Friday afternoon after school, the six of them would take the dog and wander aimlessly.

Xu Qingfan didn’t mind it either; their mutual understanding among the six was like an unspoken harmony, not sothing for outsiders to comnt on.
