Xu’s dad, a big man over six feet tall, stood behind Xu Qingfan with his short sleeves pulled up to his shoulders, revealing muscular arms, like Galio making a heroic entry.

The parent who had been pushed over got up, ready to burst into anger, but when he saw Xu Aiguo’s imposing figure, his temper suddenly subsided, "A crooked stick will have a crooked shadow; none of your family are good apples!"

Unable to engage in a physical fight, the parent switched to a war of words.

"Exactly! And they call this a noble elentary school, accepting all sorts of people, how unlucky!" said the mother of the son who ended up looking like a beaten pulp, chiming in.

Xu Aiguo glanced at the two people babbling incessantly, "Adults hitting kids and you puff up your chest? Son, tell , what happened?"

"If you’re so tough, give us your na, I can find out all your information in five minutes. I’m tough, what about it!" The parent, feeling insulted by the contempt in Xu Aiguo’s eyes, whipped out his phone to make a call.

"What’s the rush? Are you my son? I don’t have a disrespectful son like you!"

"You! You! You! You just wait!"

Xu Qingfan, hearing his own dad’s biting remarks, stood aside and couldn’t help but laugh, feeling like an old lady who got into the covers only to be tickled by her own grandfather.

"What’s everyone crowding around here for?" Lin Wanning’s dad had also walked over at so point, and the two towering over six feet, standing together, created an imnse pressure on the opposite side.

"Why is Yiyi crying? Who bullied our Yiyi?" Wen Wanqing crouched down to wipe the tears from Zhang Yiyi’s eyes.

Xu Qingfan turned on the loudspeaker, "Everyone, stop quarreling. Let recount the whole incident again. These two," he stepped forward and pointed at two kids hiding in their parents’ arms and secretly wiping tears, "I saw them trying to snatch classmate Zhang Yiyi’s hearing aid. After they got it, they didn’t stop there. This one," he pointed at one child, "pushed Yiyi to the ground just like my dad just pushed this gentleman here," referring back to the father.

"What gentleman?" the crowd subconsciously asked, then rembering what Xu’s dad had just said, burst into laughter.

"Hahahaha, goddamn gentleman, this kid!"

"What gentleman? What are you all laughing at?"

"He just said..."

"Hahahaha!"

The ridiculed parent’s face turned green, wishing he could slap Xu Qingfan to death, but he dared not.

"Xiao Ruawen is our class president. She saw soone bullying Yiyi and, as a young girl, stood up and took down those two naughty boys. Everyone, was what Xiao Ruawen did wrong?"

"No!" Many people cheered.

"Ha, what a joke! Two boys couldn’t defeat one girl and still have the nerve to cry about it, shaless!"

"Shaless!"

The atmosphere suddenly turned lively, leaving only the two sets of parents and their class teacher to stand as a punishnt.

"Next, it’s this teacher’s turn to take the stage, accusing our class president of hitting their students without knowing the facts. What do you say, should he be blad!" Xu Qingfan pointed again at the male teacher sneaking a few steps back.

"He should!"

"Well played!"

The head of the grade, not knowing where he had received the notification, rushed over in a panic, "Young student, could you lend the teacher your loudspeaker for a mont?"

Seeing the head of the grade panting, Xu Qingfan hurriedly handed over the small speaker, "Here you go, teacher."

"Everyone, please quiet down. The parents’ eting is about to start. Those parents not involved in this matter, please proceed to the eting room straight ahead and turn right. The parents’ eting is about to comnce; please don’t gather here!"

The parents who had been enjoying the spectacle quickly dispersed, leaving behind only a few students and parents involved in the matter.

"It’s all my fault, Head," Li Tie Feng seized the opportunity to explain himself, telling the other party the two versions he had heard and seen from Xu Qingfan in complete detail.

Xu Qingfan, seeing that the other party spoke fairly, didn’t sarcastically comnt from the side.

"I rember you, Xu Qingfan. You received an award certificate from a teacher this morning. I didn’t expect to see you again so soon," the head of the grade said cheerfully, patting his shoulder, "Everybody, let’s head to the office. There are too many mosquitoes outside."

On the way there, Xu Qingfan secretly slipped a hearing aid into Xia Xiaoxiao’s hand, trusting her cleverness to know how to spin the lie.

Xia Xiaoxiao rely glanced at it and very tacitly put the item in her pocket, remaining silent throughout.

"The urgent matter now is to retrieve the hearing aid. Where did you two hide the hearing aid?" The head of the grade was quite annoyed. Playing with anything but a hearing aid! Involving around two hundred thousand, one mistake could utterly tarnish the school’s reputation.

"Wuwuwu I don’t know."

"Wuwu I didn’t take her hearing aid!"

The two children began to feel afraid, standing there shivering.

"What’s this, you an I’m wrongfully accusing you? The hearing aids still have your fingerprints on them. Shall we call the police, let them find it?" Xu Qingfan added fuel to the fire, ignoring several cues from Guan Biyue.

"Let’s not call the police... as long as it’s still in the school, we can definitely find it. I’ve already arranged for teachers and security to search," the head of the grade said, clutching his chest, feeling suffocated.

Everyone was startled by the sum of two hundred thousand; nobody suspected Xu Qingfan had stashed the hearing aid away.

Before anyone appeared, the sound of tapping on the floor ca from outside the door and the next second, a mature woman in a black business suit stood at the entrance.

Zhang Chunxue, barefoot with a pair of high heels in hand, rushed in and embraced Zhang Yiyi, "Yiyi, I’m so sorry, Mommy is late."

"Yiyi, it’s... fine!" Zhang Yiyi hurriedly wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, offering her mother a bright, beautiful smile.

However, the more Zhang Yiyi smiled, the more Zhang Chunxue’s heart ached, "It’s all Mommy’s fault, I promise not to be late again!"

After a brief recap of the events, Zhang Chunxue looked at Xu Qingfan, Xia Xiaoxiao, Lin Wanning, and Xiao Ruawen with gratitude, "Thank you all. Yiyi has always been reluctant to trouble others, keeping her grievances to herself. I’ve always been worried she’d get bullied in elentary school, truly, thank you!" Zhang Chunxue, with tears in her eyes, bowed deeply to the four children.

"Don’t worry, auntie, with us around, no one can bully Yiyi!"

"You are a good child. You stood up for Yiyi and helped her with math. Yiyi has told Auntie all about it. I am really, really grateful to you. If only Yiyi had had a brother like you before."

Zhang Chunxue also pulled Xu Qingfan into a hug, gratefully embracing him tightly.

Oh no, it’s that suffocating sense of happiness again!
