Jas didn’t answer imdiately. He tapped the marble floor with his foot—once, twice, then lifted three fingers with a faint, confident smile.
"Within three years," he declared calmly, "I guarantee I can help at least one of you step into the Legendary Rank... and that’s only a bonus for cooperating with us."
Both Aldric and Caelum were stunned when they heard such a claim.
Then, Caelum frowned and spoke with a serious expression. "Young Master Jas. With all due respect—"
Jas cut him off with a chuckle. "Naturally, I wouldn’t say such a thing unless I could make it happen. Or..." He paused for a second and smiled viciously as he continued, "Do you take for soone who spouts nonsense?"

Ambergris was a rare, waxy substance that ca from the digestive system of sperm whales, specifically from the section that processed hard, indigestible food like squid beaks.
It ford when the whale produced a protective coating around irritating materials in its stomach or intestines. Over ti, this material was either vomited or passed out naturally into the ocean.
Once in the sea, the ambergris floats and undergoes a long natural aging process from the exposure to sunlight, saltwater, and oxidation. This aging process can take years.
However, because finding such a thing was an extrely hard thing to do in the first place, and he wasn’t sure if there was even one like sperm whales or other whales in this world who could produce that—he ca up with an idea.
That was to actively hunting whale beasts in general in case there were such things inside them.
Nevertheless, even if they could get the raw ambergris from killing the whale beasts, it wasn’t over because Ambergris beca valuable only after aging in seawater and sunlight.
The raw Ambergris inside the whale was still soft, slly, waxy, and not fully matured yet—resulting in the scent being unpleasant and unrefined.
Naturally, Jas had an idea of doing the aging process artificially, and he had asked the system if it was possible to artificially accelerate the aging of fresh ambergris so it behaved like the naturally weathered, high-quality version.

The system also told him that since the natural ambergris ages in the ocean, soaking it or misting it with saltwater brine helped mimic the environnt.
In this case scenario, Jas had an idea of using treasures rather than saltwater brine, as he thought that by doing so, it would increase the quality of the product. Of course, this was just Jas’ assumption, and he still needed to experint on these things to verify it.

He then raised an eyebrow, as he looked at the small bag. "Besides, how much did he pay that you seed to be quite surprised with it?"
"It’s a decent amount, but I was just surprised with the things he used to pay for." Aldric threw the bag at Caelum.
Caelum directly checked the content inside and was also quite surprised when he saw it.
100 Legendary Rank Energy Crystals were actually not worth that much for them in terms of value. However, these crystals held a higher value because of their rarity, and the fact that Jas casually gave them these crystals was the one that surprised them.
