15 mins later, they arrived in a city that’s managed by the Grant family. Even though they didn’t possess a nobility rank, they were quite renowned in the surrounding area since the family head was a strong Gold Knight rank.
After getting inside the city, they went to a shop and bought so clothes.
"My lord, they’re in the restaurant 50 ters ahead." Nyxrael tilted his head and looked at the young man in the black robe beside him.
Jas nodded his head and said. "Let’s find a restaurant nearby first."
Subsequently, they walked to another restaurant across the place where the people Jas was looking for were.
These people were the ones who ambushed the previous Jas’ group and killed them.
Now, he wanted to do the sa to them because if he showed himself even after getting killed by them, the ones behind them might be suspicious, as he was supposed to be dead, and things might get complicated from then on.
However, if they were nowhere to be found while he showed himself in Stonewatch City, they might think that the mission failed and probably assu he was secretly being protected.
That’s why he asked Nyxrael if he could kill soone who’s at the sa rank as him, and only after listening to his answer did he decide to do this.
Not only that, but his answer even surprised him because he claid that he could even kill soone at the Epic Knight rank as long as they weren’t those who were extrely strong.
Naturally, he could only do it once using his ultimate skill. Even without that, Nyxrael said that his strength should be on par with those who had just broken through Epic Knight rank or so.
The mont he stepped into the restaurant, a lot of information flooded his mind as the place buzzed with conversations about big events, rumors, and even small things such as private life.
He ignored these, as his objective wasn’t to gather information. After looking around for a bit, they found themselves an empty seat at a table by the window on the second floor.
"Sir, is there anything you’d like to order?" A waitress in her mid-twenties, dressed in a white dress, put down the nu and smiled gracefully at them.
"The best wine and food you can serve—bring a few portions at once." Jas replied with a smile.
"Please wait for a mont, sir."
While waiting for the food and wine, Jas thought about his future plan in this world because, from Jas’ mory, he needed to do a lot of things while paying attention to so things because things seed to not be as simple as they were on the surface. That’s why he was ambushed and got killed in the process.
Jas ca back to his senses when the waitress put down the food and wine.
Looking at the wine in front of him, Jas couldn’t hold back his excitent because he heard from people describing how the wine taste in this fantasy world was different, which intrigued him because he was an alcoholic in his previous life.
He then imdiately uncorked the wine, savoring a sip of it.
’The taste is really different and way better compared to even the most expensive one that cost thousands of dollars that I’ve tried before.’ Jas thought to himself.
His eyes lit up at the thought of how good the more expensive wine out there was since the one he tried couldn’t even be said to be a decent one.
"Don’t you want to try it too?" Jas chuckled and handed the wine over to Nyxrael.
"If you say so, my lord." Nyxrael took his mask off slowly, revealing a youthful, handso face with blue eyes and long black hair.
After taking a sip, Nyxrael frowned for a mont before turning back to a calm expression.
"How was it?" Jas asked curiously as he noticed Nyxrael’s change of expression.
He thought that Nyxrael might be like him, coming from the world whose wine’s product was worse compared to here.
Nyxrael hesitated for a second before answering with a bitter smile. "Actually, this might be the worst wine I’ve ever tasted."
Jas was surprised at first but then nodded to himself in understanding that it was actually not a surprising thing because he must have been from a world like he was currently in.
Noticing the disappointnt on Jas’ expression, Nyxrael took out a bottle and smiled slightly. "My lord, if you like wine that much, I think you will probably enjoy this wine that I’ve saved and have never opened."
Jas instantly beca excited and seized the wine from Nyxrael’s hand.
"Unfortunately, you can only take a sip because you’re still a normal person." Nyxrael smiled apologetically as he scratched the back of his head.
Tch!
Jas clicked his tongue when he heard it. With a disappointed expression, Jas uncorked the wine and took a gentle sip.
Jas suddenly opened his eyes wide the mont he savored the wine.
’This one is so much better that it would be an insult for it if this wine were being compared to the previous one. I can even feel a big amount of energy running through my body after just taking a simple sip.’ Jas thought to himself as he started to feel a little bit drunk.
"Do you have another wine that I can drink?" Jas asked Nyxrael with a smile, thinking that he must have a lot of good things on him.
"Sadly no." Nyxrael shook his head with a bitter smile. "That wine is the last one I have, my lord."
Sigh!
"Let’s eat the dish before they get cold then." Jas sighed and said as his hand reached out to a dish that looked similar to a steak.
However, before he could even touch it, Nyxrael reminded him politely. "My lord, you can’t eat that al because it’s made from a silver-rank beast’s at and contains so energy."
Tch!
Jas clicked his tongue in annoyance. He already guessed that he might not be able to eat too much, but he had never expected to not be able to even have a bite.
He then called the waitress again and ordered so normal dishes, which he actually enjoyed since the taste was different from the als he had eaten in his previous life.
Two hours later. Nyxrael tilted his head and inford Jas with a slight smile. "My lord, these people are already out of the restaurant and heading toward the city gate."
"Aight then, let’s wrap things up. You go pay for the bill, and I’ll wait for you at the entrance of the restaurant." Jas stood up and walked away.
