Inside, a boy about my age stood, his posture stiff, clearly nervous. His auburn hair was damp with sweat, on the table between us lay his student card.

"You’re here for the spear," I said casually, taking the seat opposite him.

"Yes," he replied quickly, eyes darting toward the storage ring on my finger. "I...I heard you listed it, and I wanted to purchase before anyone else could."

I studied him for a mont. His eagerness confird my suspicion—this wasn’t a luxury for him, it was desperation.

"100,000 points," I said firmly.

His face paled. "T-that’s... that’s my monthly allowance."

I leaned back, expression unreadable. "Then perhaps it isn’t for you."

Panic flickered in his eyes. "Wait! I... I need it. Please. I’ll pay. But I’ve used so of my points already. I only have 99,250. Is that acceptable?"

I sighed, before saying. "Fine. 99,000 it is. I will leave you with 250 points, you need them to survive."

"T-thank you Lord Blackwood. Your generosity knows no bounds." Relief flooded his features as I withdrew the Enhanced-rank spear from my storage ring and placed it on the table. The weapon glead with subtle magical energy, its craftsmanship clearly superior to standard academy equipnt.

The boy’s breath caught when he saw it. He reached out reverently, hands shaking as he grasped the weapon.

"Use it wisely, and don’t flaunt it around too much. Otherwise, other students might try to rob you when you venture outside the academy grounds."

He looked up, startled by the advice, then nodded quickly. "Thank you, Lord Blackwood."

The student activated his card’s transfer function, and I felt the familiar chi as the points were added to my account. The academy’s student cards were sophisticated enough to handle such exchanges seamlessly.

After completing the transaction, I checked my total points balance: 299,250.

I hadn’t spent a single point during my stay in the academy. Unlike students that used these points to eat inside the academy, and buy other essentials. I kept my points for my plans.

I was certainly among the wealthiest students in the academy now. I didn’t particularly care that the buyer had almost exhausted his points, it was his choice to purchase the spear, and I had done him a favour.

A discount of nearly 100,000 points was no small thing. Whilst enhanced items cost from 150,000 to 200,000 points. The spear that ca from my reward system was no ordinary one, it was certainly at the peak of its rank, nearing the 200,000 points cost.

After selling the item, I made my way back to my dormitory before my next class.

Inside my room, I settled onto the couch and drank several vials of blood to quench my thirst. Then I activated my communication crystal to call my father and check on Kael’s progress.

"Adrian," my father’s voice ca through clearly. "Perfect timing. I was just thinking about updating you on the boy’s developnt."

"How is he adapting?" I asked.

"Better than expected, honestly. His improvent rate is even faster than yours was at his age," my father replied with obvious approval. "He accepted the training regin without complaint and has integrated well with the other guards during group sessions."

"And his bloodline training?"

"That’s where he truly shines. After the regular training with the guards, I’ve been working with him privately in our secured training room to focus specifically on his ice manipulation. His improvents are remarkable - I’ve taught him fundantal mana control techniques and basic combat."

My father paused before continuing. "He’s still not at an advanced level, naturally, but his progress is rapid. Within a week, he should have solid control over his aim and basic ice techniques, along with the foundational skills necessary to beco a capable fighter."

"Any behavioural issues?" I asked, rembering Kael’s traumatic background.

"None whatsoever. He’s disciplined, focused, and eager to improve. Whatever happened to him before you found him, it seems to have given him strong motivation to grow stronger."

"Good. That’s exactly what I hoped to hear. Thank you, father."

"No problem, he also asks about you occasionally. He seems grateful for the opportunity you’ve provided him."

A smile ford on my face. Everything was proceeding according to plan.

After talking to my father, and mother for so ti, I ended the call to practise.

I wasn’t going to hunt today, instead I wanted to focus on increasing the level of my traits.

[Host: Adrian Blackwood]

[Bloodline: Supre Vampire - 20%]

[Rank: Elite]

[Traits: Blood Control (2nd Order, Lvl.3), Supernatural Physique (1st Order, Lvl.3), Blood Enhancent(1st Order, Lvl.1), Blood Trail (2nd Order, Lvl.1)]

[Aspect: Serpent Scales(Elite), Silent Predator (Elite)]

[Echo: Stone Armor(Transcendent)]

As it stood now, my current weakest was {Blood Enhancent} and {Blood Trail}. Blood enhancent was really useful as it strengthened items. This was crucial to my strength because of many reasons, the first was obvious, having a stronger item was always a good thing, secondly was the fact that strengthening the item would allow it to last much longer.

There would no need for constant refinents and work on the item as the {Blood Enhancent} would lower the effect my use had on the items durability.

Checking the ti, I found that there was still so ti left before class. So, I headed took out my razor edge sword and started to enhance it with my {Blood Enhancent} trait.

Of course, I couldn’t just enhance the skill without any blood, so I took out a vial from my storage ring and started to use the blood inside to enhance the sword.

I didn’t swing the sword. There was no need to, the skill was only based on using the enhancent itself, it had nothing to do with actually using the item that was enhanced.

I experinted on various items in my storage ring. After enhancing my sword and keeping the enhancent on until it ran out, I moved to another item, testing the possible drawbacks that the trait had.

After half an hour of experinting, I found two drawbacks.
