Both fighters launched into action simultaneously, neither willing to cede initiative or allow the other to establish rhythm.

Emt manifested flas instantly, fire erupting around his body in controlled patterns that demonstrated his exceptional manipulation. The flas moved with tactical precision, forming barriers and projectiles that attacked from multiple angles.

Kyle’s response was dramatic and visually stunning. Golden-red flas burst around him with intensity that dwarfed Emt’s output. His Phoenix bloodline activated fully, the legendary firebird’s power expressing itself through flas that burned with supernatural heat and carried regenerative properties.

The crowd gasped at the display. The powerful bloodline heritage that granted capabilities far beyond normal fire manipulation.

The two fire users engaged in spectacular combat, flas of different natures colliding and creating pyrotechnic displays that lit up the entire arena. Emt’s controlled, fire t Kyle’s raw, overwhelming Phoenix flas in exchanges that pushed both combatants hard.

For the first few minutes, the fight appeared relatively competitive, although the edge was still clearly on Kyle’s side.

Emt landed several good hits - concentrated fire lances that penetrated Kyle’s defenses and struck with enough force to cause real damage. Burns appeared across Kyle’s arms and torso, so blood flowing from impacts that should have degraded his combat effectiveness.

But then Kyle’s Phoenix bloodline revealed its true advantage.

The wounds on Kyle’s body began closing visibly, flesh knitting back together with supernatural speed. Burns faded, cuts sealed, even blood loss reversed as the regenerative properties activated fully.

Within thirty seconds, Kyle looked essentially fresh despite having taken serious damage.

"No way," Kael muttered from beside in the spectator section. "That regeneration is insane."

Elen nodded grimly. "Phoenix bloodline. Legendary regenerative capabilities that make them almost impossible to defeat through attrition. You have to deal overwhelming damage all at once or exhaust their regeneration through sustained pressure."

Emt clearly recognized the problem too. His expression tightened as he watched his hard-earned strikes beco aningless within monts.

He escalated his offensive, throwing more power into each attack and increasing the frequency of strikes. If Kyle could regenerate from individual hits, then Emt needed to land damage faster than it could heal.

The strategy worked initially - Kyle was forced onto defensive, his regeneration struggling to keep pace with the accelerated assault.

But maintaining that level of output was exhausting, and Kyle’s Phoenix flas provided their own advantages beyond just healing.

PHOENIX INFERNO!

Kyle unleashed a massive wave of golden-red fire that swept across the arena with devastating heat. The flas didn’t just burn - they carried purifying properties that disrupted other fire manipulation, making Emt’s controlled flas unstable and harder to maintain.

Emt’s fire constructs began breaking down as Phoenix flas interfered with his manipulation. What had been precise, controlled combat deteriorated into raw power contest - exactly the type of engagent that favoured Kyle’s superior bloodline.

And then I noticed sothing concerning in Emt’s behaviour.

His movents were becoming more aggressive and less controlled. His fire manipulation was losing its characteristic precision, becoming wilder and more instinctive. His expression, normally stoic and composed, showed signs of frustration and anger.

"His bloodline weakness," I said quietly. "It’s manifesting."

Elen looked at with confusion. "Bloodline weakness?"

"Fiery temper. Literally." I kept my voice low so only our imdiate group could hear. "Fire bloodlines often co with emotional volatility as a trade-off for power. The stronger the flas, the harder it becos to maintain emotional control under stress."

Kael’s eyes widened with understanding. "And Kyle’s regeneration is creating exactly the kind of frustrating situation that would trigger that weakness."

Exactly right.

Emt’s attacks beca increasingly reckless, throwing massive amounts of power into strikes that Kyle either dodged or simply tanked through regeneration. The tactical brilliance that had characterized Emt’s earlier matches was fading, replaced by raw aggression fueled by mounting frustration.

Kyle recognized the shift and began exploiting it ruthlessly.

He started deliberately taking hits in non-vital areas, allowing Emt to land strikes that looked effective but weren’t actually threatening. Each ti Emt saw his attacks seemingly succeed, then watched Kyle regenerate monts later, the frustration built further.

The fiery temper weakness spiraled, emotion overriding tactical thinking.

"This is bad," Elen said quietly. "Emt’s losing himself to the bloodline curse."

I nodded grimly. Fire bloodlines were powerful but ca with that fundantal weakness - the flas that granted strength also burned away emotional control when circumstances beca frustrating or desperate.

Kyle, anwhile, fought with cold calculation despite his Phoenix flas. His golden finger apparently included emotional regulation that prevented him from succumbing to similar weaknesses, or perhaps his Phoenix bloodline simply didn’t carry the sa curse.

Kyle launched a devastating combination attack that broke through Emt’s increasingly disorganized defence. The Phoenix flas struck with enough force to send Emt flying backward, his body crashing into the arena barrier with bone-jarring impact.

Cough!

Emt struggled to rise, blood flowing from multiple injuries and his flas flickering weakly around him. The emotional volatility had caused him to burn through mana reserves inefficiently, and now he was running low on power while Kyle remained relatively fresh thanks to superior bloodline advantages.

"Get up, Emt," I heard myself saying quietly, knowing he couldn’t hear but wanting him to recover sohow.

He did manage to stand, stubbornness and pride refusing to allow surrender despite the obvious capability gap. But his movents were sluggish, his flas weak, his tactical awareness compromised by lingering emotional instability.

Kyle approached with confident certainty, Phoenix flas blazing brilliantly as he prepared the finishing sequence.

A massive Phoenix fire construct - shaped like the legendary bird itself - ford above Kyle and descended toward Emt with unstoppable force.

Emt attempted to defend, raising what flas he could muster, but the power differential was too extre.

The Phoenix construct struck with devastating effect, the resulting explosion of golden-red fire consuming the arena space where Emt stood. When the flas cleared, Emt lay unconscious on the scorched ground, his body smoking but not seriously injured thanks to his own fire resistance.
