Leo nodded up and down, and then stretched out his hand and gently guided Sarah up from the bench...
Then they both slowly walked back into the Ani Convention Center. To their surprise, a dancing competition was underway in the middle of the main hall. Couples and non-couples alike swayed and danced to the music...
Sarah’s eyes widened like a child in excitent, and she started jumping, holding her face in her hands. "Babe... babe... let’s go... please!" she exclaid, bouncing up and down continuously.
"Huh, didn’t you say you were tired a while ago?" Leo scratched his head, amused by how quickly she recovered. Sarah then leaned in closer to his chest. "Please, babe... I want to make as many mories as I can with you."
"Sarah, what do you an by that?" Leo responded, a flicker of fear and confusion in his voice. Sarah laughed nervously. "Babe, I an, before my movie shoot day!"
Leo sighed softly in relief.
"Babe, if you don’t want to, I won’t push, okay?" she muttered, holding his cheeks. "I know how much you don’t like crowded places, so it’s fine...."
Leo suddenly kissed her forehead, then grabbed her hands and dragged her towards the dancing competition stage, weaving through the crowd of people standing and dancing. He then lifted her onto the podium, in front of thousands of people watching...
"Hey, Mr.!" Leo shouted to the man with the microphone. "Play a song, man! We’d like to participate in the dancing competition as a couple!"
Sarah pinched his clothes cutely, "Babe, are you sure about this? I hope I’m not forcing you to do what you don’t want to do. I an, we’re watched by so many people, it’s not e..." Leo cut her off with a kiss, right there in front of everyone. The crowd erupted in cheers, most of them hailing them, so pulling out their phones and recording...
Leo then pulled back from Sarah’s blushing face. "I love you, Sarah," he added.
The whole crowd was in an uproar of joy, still recording with their phones, so even taking pictures. "Nami and Luffy! We love you both, the best couple!" they shouted...
Sarah covered her face in embarrassnt, her ears bright red.
"DJ!" Leo shouted playfully. "Play the music." Both DJs gave Leo a thumbs-up and then started playing "One Dance" by Drake.
He grabbed Sarah by the hips, and they both started moving slowly to the beat, taking each step at a ti. Even the crowd sang along to the music, their voices blending with the soft bass of the speakers mounted on the walls...
Sarah’s eyes t his. Watery, filled with genuine love, at peace. The lights above glowed gently on them, montarily casting a red and blue light over them as if ti itself had decided to pause for this specific mont. His hands moved higher, just held her there, steady and safe, with pure emotion. Her hands slipped around his neck, her fingers brushing the nape of his skin...
"Babe, I am really happy you ca with ," she whispered in his ear.
"It’s fine," he whispered back, his voice a bit low and a little hoarse.
They danced as though nothing else mattered. The laughter around them faded. It was just the two of them now, caught in their emotions and the rhythm of the music...
After a while of dancing, it was evening, the sun setting on the horizon, casting long shadows on the ground...
Leo and Sarah walked out of the ani convention center, laughing, drinks in both their hands.
"Taxi! Taxi!" Leo waved while talking to Sarah.
"Babe, I didn’t know you could dance!" Sarah said, sipping her One Piece drink she’d bought from the convention. "I an, we’ve been friends since elentary school, but there are still things about you I don’t know..."
The taxi stopped in front of them. They both got in and sat down. Sarah leaned on his shoulder, still sipping her drink.
The car started moving...
"Babe," Leo called out to her.
"Hmm," she responded, still drinking.
"I think we forgot our bag... at the ani convention center," he added.
Sarah yawned, stretching. "Don’t worry, we’ll go back for it later..."
He moved his left hand down to his back pocket, his eyes widening even more. "Babe, I think my wallet is also in the bag."
"What!" Sarah shouted, but Leo covered her mouth with his hand. "Hey, don’t shout!"
"But how are we going to pay the driver?"
"Let’s make a run for it," Leo added, holding his jaw.
"But... we’ll go to jail!" She was holding her head.
"If only we get caught..." Leo responded, pulling her face towards him and giving her a kiss. "Babe, trust , okay?"
She nodded, still in fear...
"Driver, we’d like to stop at the bus stop," Leo exclaid, sweat dripping from his face...
He swallowed hard, trying as much as possible to hide his fears from Sarah. Deep down, Leo had never done anything like this in his life. But since the bag was his responsibility, and his carelessness had caused this, he had to co up with a plan, and this was the only rational thing he could think of.
"So here’s the plan," Leo continued. "As soon as we stop at the bus stop, you’ll get out first, and then I’ll follow behind, okay? And run as fast as you can. We’ll both et up at our apartnt complex."
Sarah kissed him. "Babe, please be careful... I don’t want anything to happen to you..."
He nodded. Then the taxi driver stopped the car.
Leo felt sothing in his other pocket. He put his hand inside, only to find he had 5,000 Yen. His eyes widened...
But before he could call out to Sarah, she had already gotten out of her seat and started running cutely, without looking back...
"Sarah... Sarah."
Leo burst out into intense laughter. Even the driver was shocked by his reaction...
He continued to laugh for a couple of minutes before he started calming down. Then he paid the driver and started walking towards their apartnt complex...
