Arc 1: The eting - 50
"Reporting: This world is under the Hell pantheon." Ghost answered.
The fuck? Is it just called Hell? Does that an there is one called the Heaven pantheon or sothing? Damn, this is more confusing than it needs to be or it's because I'm too stupid to understand everything. Eh, I'm already losing my mind at this point.
"Fuck..." Stella cursed, "I can't believe this world is under the Hell pantheon."
"Aren't we part of the Hell pantheon?" Octavia raises an eyebrow at her mother.
Yeah, what's the problem?
"Octavia. Yes, we're part of the Hell pantheon, but to be more precise, there are multiple different pantheons under the Hell pantheon as a whole. In our case, ours would be called the Hellverse pantheon." Stella starts explaining, which also answers my unspoken question and many more. "Yet, there are others part of the Hell pantheon. A good example is the Norse pantheon's Niflheim. Even though this is under the Norse pantheon, the Niflheim is considered part of the Hell pantheon."
And just like that, I'm drawing a blank. What kind of fucked up logic is this?! What kind of multiverse am I in?!
"Huh." Octavia blankly stares at her mother.
"This is sothing you will learn later, princess." Stolas said to his daughter. "Honestly, I'm more surprised this world is under the Hell pantheon. Seeing how Hell pantheon is among the very powerful ones in the multiverse."
"In addition, the Hell pantheon is well known to cause lots of chaos in worlds they own." Ghost reported. "As the Hell pantheon takes thrill in the chaos happening in their own worlds; however, that is only done by their own people. Any outsiders will face the wrath of all population in the Hell pantheon for touching what is theirs."
"Are we in trouble?" Octavia looks around with fear in her eyes.
"No, princess. Since our pantheon is part of the Hell pantheon, we're fine. Although, there is a limit to how many problems we can cause in this world." Stolas answered his daughter in a gentle tone.
"What he didn't ntion is how even if there is a limit to what you guys can do. The one that caused the problem still be punished if they keep it up." Yui grinned again, making Stella frown hard. "I recall that punishnt from the Hell pantheon is very harsh to their own people."
I open my mouth to say sothing when sothing enters my En range. Perfect Timing is roaring at to take action, so I followed the routes made by the Perfect Timing, channeling Lion's Heart through Tsukuyomi Unit while covering everyone.
I see many Primordial Runes changing around us through Odin's Lost Eye. A quick modification occurred here and there, causing the original effects to be altered instantly midway before reaching the result.
"Wow, Jin, just stop Hell pantheon's punishnt." Takamine stares into the sky in shock, where almost everyone briefly sees a crack in the sky before it disappears imdiately. "I think that's bad."
"Jin, whatever you do. Do not drop your barriers and anything else that helps you block the punishnt from the Hell pantheon. I need to make a call." Yui said in a serious tone.
"Yeah, don't worry about that." I continue to form nurous gaps outside the barriers created with the Tsukuyomi Unit and continue changing the Primordial Runes with the help of Perfect Timing to prevent whatever would bound to do sothing to for stopping the Hell pantheon from punishing Stella.
Crazy voices, for once, I think I regret listening to Perfect Timing. But simultaneously, sothing seriously fucked up was about to happen to Stella and sohow linked to in return, if I were to guess. Okay, maybe not a guess, and more like how the fuck is a pantheon acting like an entity?!
Oh, wait, if fate is a thing among the worlds in the multiverse, the mystery Boss, and the bizarre of everything in my life so far. I should also expect the whole pantheon thing to be considered a higher level of existence. Of course, the definition of pantheon just ans a group of particularly respected, famous, or important people.
But what if? Now crazy voices hear out. What if the word: pantheon could also just be a title of a higher-level entity that is outside of the multiverse? For example, the mystery Boss could literally be the Eldritch pantheon itself?!
"Caretaker, I was just inford by the Boss that you should not resu whatever you're thinking right now. Doing so would lead to sothing you'll regret and highly possibly of increasing the chance of your existence being erased this instant." Ghost said to , stopping from thinking any further.
"Jin?!" Nyarla looks at in horror; even Yor and Takamine are shocked by what they just heard.
"Jin, listen to Ghost! DO NOT RESU THOSE THOUGHTS!" Yui scread at , going far as to shake with her daughters doing the sa thing. They nearly made lose control over the barriers.
"Okay! Stop shaking !" I scread back, trying my best not to lose control of the barriers.
"Caretaker, it's essentially important that you should never go back that line of thoughts ever again unless the Boss gives you permission to do so." Ghost continued.
Holy shit, crazy voices! This was not sothing I thought would happen! Also, forget that subject I talked about a few seconds ago! Damn! I almost got myself erased by the Boss or by another entity!
Fuck! I nearly went back to it! NOPE! Got to think about sothing else! After all, the Boss even had to contact through Ghost, and that alone is what made it worst!
"Fuck!" Stella punch a nearby mailbox and scatter all the mail inside everywhere.
"So, how goes the call go, Yui?" I remind her before she could continue shaking any further.
"Reporting: Caretaker due to delaying Stella's punishnt. You're to be punished as well for interfering." Ghost spoke up before Yui could. "But, before we get to that. Stella. You must return to your world and the rest of your family to be punished without interference."
Well, damn. I did not expect this to happen upon coming to the world of Rosario Vampire. Also, fuck! Why am I being punished too?! I'm seriously considering stop using Perfect Timing at this point.
Stella just grunt, then Stolas let out a sad sigh and gave everyone a slow nod as he silently create a portal back to their own world.
"Later..." Octavia frowns, following her parents through the portal.
"Now, Caretaker. Due to your interference and the agreent with the Hell pantheon with the Boss. You are to perform a task for the Hell pantheon as your punishnt until further notice." Ghost continue where it left off.
And now I'm frighten, yet curious about what the task could be. I an, could it be any worse than what the Boss could throw at ? Am I right, crazy voices?
Crap, I forgot that with the avian demon family gone. That an I won't be able to see your guys' ssages, even if it's late, from this point on unless the Boss make watch over another set of family temporary.
"You are to be assigned by Hell pantheon to take care of soone it has selected for you to watch over." Ghost finished, then fire off a laser beam to form a crimson portal.
A shadowy figure appear, then slowly walk out of the crimson portal to reveal what looks like a human woman in her twenties of marginally above average height. She has long light red/pale auburn hair, kept in a loose braid with bangs just past her eyebrows and two longer side bangs framing her face. Her eyes are yellow with multiple red rings within them. She wears a white long-sleeved shirt, a black tie, black pants, and brown shoes.
The fuck?! Makima from Chainsaw Man?! Actually, this is sowhat fitting in a stupidly weird way. Being the Control Devil, which embodies the fear of control or conquest.
"Hello, you must be the one that sohow blocked Hell pantheon's punishnt." Makima said politely as she glanced around the surrounding, checking the barriers I've still up and running. "I must say that even I won't be able to touch you with this level of defensive."
"Nice to see it's you, Makima." Takamine said to everyone, causing Makima to smile at her in return.
"Takamine. It's good to see you after so long." Makima greeted back. "I guess we'll finally get to hang out after our last gathering. Also, nice to see you again as well, Nyarla and Yor. Greeting, Lord of All." She bow to Yui.
"So they sent you here, huh? It seems like you're getting more noticed by the big leagues, Jin." Yui said with a tired tone. "This is good and bad. But mostly bad."
Usually, when soone says this is good and bad, they would say mostly good than bad. But, in this case, I agree entirely with you, Yui. For one thing, I only have a rough understanding of Makima due to reading through her wiki page for the most part and barely read the manga and watching the ani due to whatever reason.
Also, why does it seem just right for Takamine to have a past relationship with Makima and being friend at that? Is it because both of them are manipulative people?
"Well, you guys weren't that quiet about him. Nearly everyone learned about the new addition into the Eldritch pantheon. In fact, I was planning on visiting to get more information about Jin here after finishing my tasks, only to be suddenly told I was to be under the care of the new mber of the Eldritch pantheon as an experint test between two large pantheons." Makima tilt her head, smiling in my direction.
Oh hey, no shiver to the spine. That's a first... I don't like this one bit.
"It's nice to et you, Makima." I finally greeted her as I shut down all the barriers once I realized Hell pantheon wouldn't blast to pieces. "I'll make sure to take care of all your needs as I have done with everyone here."
"That's good to hear. I'm glad to finally have a break from all the works I've done over the years." Makima walks over to grab my hand to do a handshake, not caring how she didn't ask if I were to agree to a handshake. "And the contract is form. Any harm done to will reflect onto you. In addition, you'll follow any of my requests in exchange for using my full abilities for a limited ti."
Fucking damn it. It looks like I will have to use the Reset & Restart very often from now on.
"Ghost, set up the new Save Point." I order Ghost to create the new second Save Point while keeping the first, main one back in the apartnt.
"It's done, Caretaker." Ghost reported.
"Oh, you've prepared yourself for the incoming dangers." Makima praise .
"You know, Makima. Jin here is amazing at sex." Takamine wink at Makima.
Makima said nothing for a solid minute, "Why would I want to have sex with soone I just t?"
You would be surprised by how many one-night stands goes on in life. Especially in worlds of modern setting.
