He turned back out of the grand hall and returned holding a violin, handing it to Anna.

"Everyone, step back," this ti, it was Wang Shuai who spoke up, leaving Xiao Xian and Yiyi sowhat confused. The earlier encounter was unguarded, but this ti, the competition between the two won needed caution.

Anna held the violin, clamping it firmly with her chin.

With a wave of Little John’s hand, the Feng Bird, which had been circling above the grand hall to boost its master’s montum, folded its wings with a startled cry and perched on Lady Serlin’s shoulder.

Lady Serlin’s face still bore a captivating smile, but upon seeing several feathers shed from the Feng Bird’s wings, her brow furrowed slightly. Little John withdrew his hand and nodded toward where Zhou Ziang stood, as if in greeting.

Zhou Ziang seed to have no impression of him and did not glance over.

The violin strings tightened, and Anna’s playing, like her cold and elegant appearance, was crisp and sharp, resembling a hawk darting through a winter forest, filled with strength. The string sound, like a blade striking ice, opened cracks in one’s heart.

Anna had learned the violin from a young age, and her violin was crafted by a renowned master. The instrunt not only had a beautiful tone but, paired with Anna’s skilled playing, produced deep, zzo-soprano-like sounds that resounded in the grand hall as soon as the strings were drawn.

Aisha sniffed at the tune, snorting lightly. Clever Anna, promising to accompany, yet despite knowing her voice was soprano, used such a low-toned violin for accompanint. Well, high against low - it only tested each other’s skills more.

Aisha’s previous singing was only a spontaneous act, but Anna’s interruption forced her to bring out her true abilities.

She didn’t imdiately burst into song but started with a soft humming. The low notes, like soone whispering confidentially, quickly drew one into the embrace of the violin music.

Anna’s lips curled into a sly smile as she sped up her playing. The violin sounds that were like the gentle rain in spring suddenly transford into a raging storm. Aisha wouldn’t be outdone, raising her pitches by an octave.

The lanting stream turned into a roaring sea, countless golden armored warriors appeared in the grand hall.

Aisha’s voice, vibrant yet sensitive, clashed with Anna’s powerful violin notes. Amidst the battle-hardened war horses, two female knights in red and white armor appeared. One wielded a spear, the other held a shield, fighting fiercely under everyone’s watchful eyes.

Aisha’s song varied again, sotis pausing, sotis attacking, while Anna’s violin strings seed infused with life, switching between offense and defense.

As the music and singing reached their peak, glass shattered throughout the grand hall, and the wine glass in Xiao Xian’s hand broke as well.

"Won are trouble," Wang Shuai cursed, glancing worriedly at Yiyi on his left, though he and all the team leaders had already activated their spiritual power protective covers early on. However, unlike Suo Luo and the others’ physical attacks, the protective shields, effective against physical attacks, could only block half of the soundwave attacks.

Yiyi clutched her head in pain, trembling all over. Most people in the hall felt uncomfortable, except the national team leaders who had reached the Golden Stage.

Little John appeared leisurely, paying no heed to his cousin Anna’s and Aisha’s competition, instead keeping his gaze on Zhou Ziang.

Little John had recognized Zhou Ziang as the young man he had briefly encountered in the Xinjiang train station. The other seed to have no mory of him, as most in the hall were too preoccupied with the tense duel between Aisha and Anna.

During his trip to Xinjiang to search for the Mirage Gate, Little John had arrived to find that he had been preempted.

The local Xinjiang girl’s description of the person who arrived earlier matched Zhou Ziang’s profile, and seeing him today leading the United States delegation further confird that he was the one who opened the Mirage Gate ahead of him.

Unfortunately, Zhou Ziang was unresponsive to Little John’s extra attention, both defending against the soundwave attacks of Aisha and the others and also diverting attention to Xiao Xian’s situation.

Wang Shuai was also stretched thin, as a whisper floated from behind him: "Don’t worry about , Yiyi’s hearing is more sensitive, protect her first." Wang Shuai glanced back quickly, seeing Xiao Xian on his right looking slightly strained but not as pained as Yiyi.

"Ye Heng," Wang Shuai still felt uneasy, wanting Ye Heng’s help to look after Xiao Xian. Surprisingly, Ye Heng stood far away, helplessly shrugging. Wang Shuai was furious but knew it wasn’t the ti for internal conflict.

"It’s fine, I can manage," Xiao Xian reassured, though truthfully, she felt no better than Yiyi, the music scraping past her ears, while Aisha’s singing repeatedly pounded her eardrums.

Wang Shuai hesitated between Xiao Xian and Yiyi, and Xiao Xian gave him a comforting smile that said, "I’m okay, I can handle it."

Yiyi was making a sound almost like sobbing, forcing Wang Shuai to retract part of the protective cover. As its range shrank, the golden light brightened, slightly weakening the tornting soundwaves for Yiyi.

Wang Shuai’s actions baffled Zhou Ziang, who clearly observed the chaotic scene and nearly burst out in anger. Lady Serlin’s cold, mocking laughter rang out, "Zhou Ziang, recognize your current position."

Her words halted Zhou Ziang’s steps, making him look toward Xiao Xian with a surge of concern in his eyes. (To be continued. If you like this work, please visit Qidian (qidian) to cast recomndation votes, monthly tickets, and your support is my greatest motivation.)
