Located in Ithaca City, New York, United States, it is renowned globally. For most people dedicated to biotechnology research, this area is the "Silicon Valley" in the eyes of IT professionals.
Ithaca City is famous for its beautiful environnt; the city is built along the mountains, boasting picturesque lake views and verdant forest scenery, which are sources of pride for all Ithacans. The Ivy League newcor Cornell University is also situated here.
Before coming to Cornell University, Xiao Xian attended two schools in succession. One was Sacred Heart Middle School, known as "Garden Middle School." The campus landscape there was already considered top-notch among Beijing’s urban middle schools.
As for the later North Campus enrollnt, its mysterious school environnt, from the initial desolate deserts of Area C to the spiritual energy-filled Area B and privately designed villa-style Area A, could be one of the most unique campus landscapes anywhere. However, due to the uniqueness of Huake Institute North Campus, outsiders rarely have the opportunity to tour the campus.
All these thoughts turned into a jumble of mories as the bus carrying international exchange students entered Ithaca, traveling along the smooth asphalt road, ascending the flat mountain road.
The scenery at Cornell University emphasizes the word "expansive." This sense of expansiveness doesn’t refer to the affluent grandeur of a tycoon but rather the instant broadening of vision and mindset upon arrival at Cornell.
This campus, brimming with modern air, is unlike other university campuses, not completely engulfed in teaching buildings of reinforced concrete nor lacking aesthetic in modern garden trees.
The randomly placed mountain rocks and swaying ancient trees in the campus, coupled with waterfalls unmarked by human traces and the tranquil green lakes, seem casually arranged yet show ticulous intention. Here, the beauty of nature and human craftsmanship are perfectly intertwined.
The bus stopped at a spacious square. Around eight in the morning, the early spring sun cast a yellow warmth over the campus, with dozens of North Arican pigeons casually strolling among the crowd, pecking at grass seeds on the lawn.
"This place is really beautiful; those buildings are much more impressive than those at North Campus," Yiyi said as she stepped off the bus, taking a deep breath upon witnessing such a beautiful campus landscape.
The campus architecture at Cornell University is predominantly Victorian style, bathed in morning light and mist, luxurious yet comfortable.
Yiyi spoke in Chinese, just a few simple sentints, but they drew laughter from the students from Country H.
Ye Heng imitated Yiyi’s tone, parroting her words, and mocked her for losing face for the Chinese people. The exchange students from Country H guessed her aning, replying in English, "Really ignorant; I wonder what a rundown place Huake Institute is like. Our universities in Country H are no less impressive than here."
Yiyi nudged Xiao Xian, "What are they saying? It seems like they’re mocking ."
"They didn’t say anything, a country of birds, schools like birds, people worse than birds. Why bother with them? Let’s go find out where we’re staying," Xiao Xian rembered the earlier words from Juliet One, encountering people with different aspirations, there was no need to engage particularly.
Ye Heng thought differently. He actively chatted with Michael and the representatives from Country H throughout the journey, becoming seemingly long-lost friends by the ti they got off the bus.
"Dear exchange students, this eting is by far the largest in history, with the highest number of participants. With 200 people attending from over fifty countries and regions globally, the university will hold a grand welco party at Cornell’s student auditorium around eight o’clock tonight. Please make sure to attend on ti," Michael announced, having hosted multiple batches of exchange students over the past week.
Due to the large number of exchange students and diverse nationalities, for easy managent, the organizers have specially rented two student dormitory buildings from Cornell University to serve as apartnts. During the six-month exchange program, most work-study activities will be conducted within the campus.
Based on nationality and gender classification thods, the school arranged for ninety-plus female participants to stay at Mary Apartnts on the north side of campus, while the remaining one hundred and ten male participants were placed in the neighboring Hanton Apartnts.
