"Regarding the apartnt issue, the three of us have discussed it and decided not to move to area B, but we do want to switch to a more spacious apartnt," said Xiao Xian and Yiyi, who were originally primary students and did not have Xuerou move in. Initially, their housing standard was forty square ters per person.
The apartnt they found was eighty square ters.
Later on, when Xuerou joined, the three didn’t relocate. With eighty square ters divided into a single plane, excluding the bathroom and kitchen, managing their living, clothing, and eating together was sowhat troubleso, so they thought about changing to a more spacious apartnt with separate rooms.
A new year brings new atmospheres, and the three decided to change their housing per the standard.
A few thousand Heaven-defying Values per month are no longer a big deal for Xiao Xian and the others.
Xuerou’s main inco ca from assisting with data processing and chanical maintenance at the supply center, while Yiyi helped Xiao Xian with planting and harvesting fruits in the Spiritual Fruit Garden.
As for Xiao Xian, she was the most leisurely one. Her first batch of desert-greening plants, Congrong and Sea Buckthorn, were the most profitable.
She sold the Sea Buckthorn Fruit to the supply center, gaining two hundred Heaven-defying Values for every 500 grams, providing long-term profits.
As for the other herb, Congrong, Xiao Xian did not sell it to the supply center but sent it to the pharmacy instead.
Pharmacist Huang Yaoshi, along with the previous funds from ginseng and other herbs Xian had sent, split the profit fifty-fifty; one portion went into Xiao Xian’s account, and the other offset i Nian’s losses from the previous Damascus rose incident.
Before the New Year, Xiao Xian checked her account balance, which already reached over six hundred thousand. She planned to save this money and, in a year or two, could buy another apartnt in the city center.
"In the newly renovated houses, there are several 160 square ter apartnts, and interdiate students have the privilege of choosing first," Roo One presented a new floor plan, indicating two new apartnt complexes.
Students from C-area preferred living alone, choosing single apartnts, and such large apartnts were limited to just two or three.
"Just show us the selection map for the 180 square ters apartnts directly, Xuerou said she can complete the basic courses today," Xiao Xian and Yiyi gaped in amazent at Xuerou’s progress; she truly was a genius.
Xiao Xian and Yiyi were among the fastest to advance from beginner students, even under advantageous conditions, but Xuerou entered just two or three months ago and had solidly completed all the courses.
"There is only one 180 square ter apartnt in the entire area. Students may propose reasonable requests for interior arrangents," Roo One, being a robot, did not show any surprise, rely confirming student demands as per procedure.
"We’ll pack up and move soon, please outfit it according to interdiate student specifications: three computers, two bathrooms, one common kitchen, three bedrooms, and the rest can follow the old C-area housing arrangents," Xiao Xian stated, reflecting the results of the three’s discussions.
Roo One paused slightly, "Student Zeng Xuerou has already completed one hundred percent of the basic courses. Since the establishnt of this campus, this is the first ti a new student completed all the courses in such a short ti. Your request will be forwarded to the central computer, and you may move in after three days." Roo One handed Xiao Xian a magnetic card for entering the new apartnt.
Xuerou had already passed, and with full completion, that was great. Xiao Xian wondered which special skill she would choose. Feeling uplifted, she knew she had to head back soon to transplant the Purple Ginseng Zhou Ziang had given her to Wanlin Hills.
"No problem, I have another request—I would like to hire robots to help with the harvesting process of fruit trees," Xiao Xian’s request surprised Roo One.
Was this reversing the roles? It was the first ti a student proposed hiring campus robots for tasks. Roo One was a bit slow to react.
Xiao Xian was inspired on her way here. Robots work thodically and, once an agreent is reached, would complete tasks without human issues like headaches or fevers. Hiring them, even at a higher price, was worthwhile. That depends if the campus administration would agree to their request.
"This matter needs further reporting," Roo One did not imdiately respond, as Xiao Xian’s request exceeded his authority to answer.
"You can consult with Shakespeare and then decide. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be heading back," Xiao Xian was eager to see Xuerou’s special skill and needed to return quickly to move the Purple Ginseng to Wanlin Hills.
"One more thing, primary students from North Campus primarily focus on learning. Once you beco an interdiate student, while you enjoy certain rights, you must also fulfill corresponding duties. Although you didn’t move to B-area, as per the obligations of interdiate students, you must plant at least three acres of economic crops and submit a corresponding proportion of the crops each term," Roo One reminded Xiao Xian that after her first interdiate student computer setup class, she must go to B-area to receive her allocated responsibility fields.
Xiao Xian thought about it—three acres wasn’t much to handle, so she readily agreed.
Roo One completed her leave formalities, and Xiao Xian returned to her dormitory.
As she approached the dormitory door, she heard Zhang Yiyi inside shouting excitedly, "Xuerou, your special skill is aweso." (To be continued. If you like this work, welco to Qidian (qidian) to cast a recomndation ticket and a monthly ticket. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
