The old guard at the pharmaceutical factory was initially reluctant to let the truck in, ntioning that the factory had ceased production for several months, and even the last batch of employees was about to leave.
Later, after the old guard made a phone call, he allowed the vehicle to enter.
"A very ordinary pharmaceutical factory, not so large-scale hospital or a successor of a traditional Chinese dicine family with deep roots?" Huang Yaoshi felt sothing was off as he listened, wondering if he was going to misjudge twice in one day, or should he wait for the lady boss to return and discuss in detail before deciding whether to investigate the background of that small pharmaceutical plant.
The herbs were carefully selected, and the day for Xiao Xian and Zeng Xuerou to start school was also approaching.
The second round of the Knei street basketball competition was held on the fifth day of the first lunar month. Zhuo Feng and Feng Xing, who almost missed the preliminaries the first ti, were excited to hear there was another match. Ignoring Xiao Xian’s opposition, they insisted on following her to the competition square.
"Wow, it’s quite a large-scale event, and even more people have co to watch," Zhuo Feng and Feng Xing remarked with emotion as they arrived and saw the audience and the various teams supporting the competition.
Perhaps the bustle of New Year’s family visits was almost over, or perhaps, like Zhuo Feng and her party, the friends and relatives of each team believed that coming over to cheer would increase the chances of victory. This ti, the crowd had grown by several geotric folds compared to the last.
The happiest about this growth was undoubtedly Knei, the event organizer. After all, their goal was to attract more viewers and even television coverage to promote their brand.
"Perform well later, see that? Even China Television has sent people over for a special report," Wang Ke couldn’t help but take out a mirror and say to the two male teammates behind her.
On the other side, Qu Yang, carrying a huge backpack, donned a new outfit, and dazzlingly scoped out the location of the China Television cara several tis. After seeing Mao Yi, he pushed the backpack into Mao Yi’s arms, "The competition is the competition, a bet is a bet, and I’ve brought the clothes."
Mao Yi smiled enigmatically, unzipped a small opening of the backpack, and a strong stench of slly shoes and socks erged, "Are you sure? Turn around and take a look."
Qu Yang turned around and his handso face imdiately drooped in disbelief, pointing at a corner of the square, "What’s going on? How could they shalessly show up again? This is a knockout round, not a resurrection match."
"You still haven’t changed your old habits. When we left yesterday, the amateur team was leading 2:0. But I heard from a few teams who stayed to the end that the other team staged a coback in the very end, winning three consecutive gas. The amateur team completely collapsed." Mao Yi was much more inford than Qu Yang, having received several calls the previous evening from acquaintances who reported that the AND1 team was very strong, and the most formidable was not the twin siblings, but the silent man.
"Really?" Qu Yang glanced at the AND1 group. Although they had changed their outfits today, especially the Phoenix Man who wore an old-fashioned gray-blue basketball uniform, there is a term in Chinese called "return to the basics."
It was that damned phrase that was now shining brilliantly on the man who was no longer a Phoenix. He managed to wear an old basketball uniform with the air of a fashion model.
Infuriating. Annoying.
Qu Yang shoved the backpack under his butt, secretly praying that their team would be matched against the team with Phoenix Man. Then, he would use his skill to prove who was the true prince of basketball.

Things didn’t go as planned, Qu Yang didn’t run into Zhou Ziang as he had hoped, but instead t another team. The strength of that team is relatively weak among all the teams in the rematch.
It only took three rounds for Mao Yi to lead this brand-new Holy Heart street basketball squad to victory. Xiao Xian’s performance in the match wasn’t anything special because the female players on the opposing team were quite average, too, so they just neutralized each other. The real contest was between the four male players.
The match only lasted four rounds and the Holy Heart Three Musketeers clinched it with a 3:1 victory.
As the referee’s whistle marked the end of the ga, Zhuo Feng hurriedly handed a bottle of mineral water to each of the three big kids.
"Not bad, you played well," Zhuo Feng cheered for Xiao Xian. Sipping water, Xiao Xian nodded vaguely. She barely played at all, so what’s there to say about playing well or not.
Feng Xing was still engrossed in watching the other group’s gas. For old basketball fans like him, there used to be so prejudice against street basketball, always seeing it as an extension of street fighting, even thinking that it was only for riffraff, lacking rules and watchability. But today, after coming here, all those past impressions were swept away instantly.
"It’s incredible, look at those two groups, both are very strong. Especially that female player, she’s been marking that male player throughout the ga. Look, she’s guarding that male player again," Feng Xing said excitedly, almost too embarrassed to express his marvel.
Although Xiao Xian and her team were also playing, due to the clear disparity in strength, Xiao Xian’s group’s match was not very spectacular, so while Feng Xing was watching the ga, his body was in Cao’s camp but his heart was in Han’s. He would shout ’good!’, but his eyes would drift over to another ga happening on a different court.
"Xiao Xian, what are you guys looking at that’s getting your uncle so excited," Qu Yang didn’t hold back, and imdiately started calling himself an uncle. After receiving a glare from Xiao Xian, he chuckled and turned to the ga that Feng Xing was transfixed by on the other court.
But upon looking, Qu Yang’s eyes were glued to his in disbelief, unable to move them away.
How did they end up clashing? Right now, the most attention-grabbing ga on the court was the one between the other two groups on the other court.
Their ga started at the sa ti as Xiao Xian’s group, but the competition was much fiercer. It’s already gone through five rounds and it’s still a tough battle to call. The focus of the audience, as well as the TV stations doing interviews, were all drawn over there.
The ga that Feng Xing and everyone else was captivated by was the one with Wang Ke and Zhou Ziang.
Since Zhou Ziang’s ga was happening at the sa ti as Xiao Xian’s group, Xiao Xian and Mao Yi didn’t notice a very dramatic scene that unfolded before the start of the match.
As soon as the drawing results were announced, Wang Ke walked up to Zhou Ziang without hesitation, "You’re really out of luck. If you had chosen to be in my group from the start, you wouldn’t have any issues. Now it’s too late for regrets. I’ll beat you so bad you won’t even have pants to wear."
