Chapter 343: Chapter 343 Clothes

Zhang Minghua’s brows imdiately relaxed, “Ah Guang really is a soldier, is this what you call a strategy? He’s really thoughtful.”

Yang Peijun quietly leaned over and patted Yang PeiMin on the shoulder, whispering to her, “You need to be careful with your man, he might sell you without you even knowing.”

Yang PeiMin elbowed him away and gave him a look, “As if you’re the one being sold!”

Yang Peijun shook his head, a look of disbelief on his face; unintentionally, he t his brother-in-law’s intriguing gaze and suddenly felt guilty, quickly averting his eyes. He couldn’t have heard that, could he? From so far away? Could all soldiers have such sensitive ears? As he was lost in his thoughts, everyone else had already made arrangents regarding Yingzi’s issue.

By the ti Yang Peijun regained his senses, “Is everything decided already?”

“Just a few words, do you want us to talk until dusk?” Zhang Minghua gave him another look, turned to Yang PeiMin, and said, “We’ve been sitting here all day, and we haven’t had a good chat yet. How are you now? How’s your appetite? Any nausea?”

Yang PeiMin smiled and answered one by one, “It’s much better now; the first three months were tough.”

“What did your school say then? Are you going to give birth and do your confinent there?”

Yang PeiMin nodded, “Yes, I can’t leave my studies. After my confinent, I plan to go back to classes, otherwise I’ll fall behind and what will I do if I can’t graduate?”

“That’s not acceptable. If I had known it would be like this, you wouldn’t have gone to college. You lack experience and there are no elders over there, how will you manage? You don’t even have anyone to lend a hand, who will take care of you? I bet there’s no one to even make you a al.” Zhang Minghua frowned.

“It’s okay, things will straighten out when we get there. If it doesn’t work out, we’ll ask a neighbor to help.”

“You’re too laid back; we need to start preparing now. It’ll be too late later.”

“I know, let’s not talk about that now. Today, I brought you all gifts.”

“Did you recklessly buy stuff again?” Zhang Minghua disapproved, “We’re about to have another child, and you still don’t think to save?” She knew without looking that her daughter must have bought sothing very expensive.

Of course, that was just her own thought, not everyone else’s. Hearing about the gifts, Yang Peijun and others cheered, and even Bai Hehua’s son, not even a year old, drooled happily along with the adults.

Bai Hehua held up her son for everyone to see, “Look, Xiao Bao knows about gifts too.”

Yang Peijun was impatient, and quickly opened the big snakeskin bag that Shen Yiguang had brought, taking out the contents one by one. Before he could examine them closely, he couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow, so many clothes, Minmin, are you really giving one to each person?”

Yang PeiMin nodded, “There are notes with nas on them, everyone just takes what matches their na. I had them made to approximate sizes, if they don’t fit perfectly, just alter them yourselves.”

“No need to alter, no need; they look fitting to .” Yang Peijun quickly said, flipping through the pockets of the clothes to find his na on a note.

For Grandma Yang, Yang Dahai, and Zhang Minghua, they got middle-aged clothes—big cotton coats, with trousers and hats included, a whole set; the three cousin’s clothes were also a set of cotton clothes. The clothes for brothers were corduroy turned-collar jackets, slightly younger in style and color—blue, black, and khaki, while the sister-in-law and younger sister received woolen coats, sa style but different colors and lengths.

“For you brothers, it’s all nearly the sa, decide/share the colors among yourselves; as for the sister-in-laws and Yingzi, I chose based on size, height, and character. Try them on, see how they fit? Satisfied?”

“Very satisfied!”

They had not even tried them on, yet they hastily responded all at once.

Yang Peijun tried on a blue one, then looked at Yang Peihua trying on a khaki one and felt envious. He moved closer, “Second Brother, I want to try on the one you’re wearing.”

Yang Peihua had no objections and handed it over to him.

But once Yang Peijun put it on, he refused to take it off. “This one suits . Second Brother, I’m choosing this one.”

Yang Peihua didn’t mind; he thought the blue one also looked good. However, his wife, Bai Hehua, wasn’t so keen, “Peihua, you look better in that one.”

Yang Peijun had already zipped it up and was even more unwilling to take it off. “Second Sister-in-law, Second Brother doesn’t mind, and they’re all the sa anyway. I’m younger, and this color looks even better on … Oh my gosh, it even has a zipper, so comfortable to wear. I’m going to wear it for the New Year…”

Bai Hehua pushed the wooden-like Yang Peihua a bit, annoyed, “Your brother is calling you old.”

Yang Peihua also put on the blue jacket and was quite happy, not really wanting to deal with her.

Out of frustration, Bai Hehua glared at Li Hong, who had co over. Seeing the rose-colored jacket in her hands, Bai Hehua felt an itch again. Even though the teal one she was wearing also looked nice, Li Hong’s jacket seed to enhance her complexion, making her skin look much paler. So, she said, “Sister-in-law, I want to try yours; let’s switch and try.”

Li Hong refused, “Second Sister-in-law, I’ve already chosen this one.”

Bai Hehua was unhappy, “What’s with you two, always picking the best for yourselves.”

Seeing Yang Peimin, Li Hong said to her, “Second Sister-in-law, you shouldn’t say that. Every piece is good. By saying that, aren’t you hurting Minmin’s feelings?”

Bai Hehua retorted, “I’m not saying the clothes are bad; I just think the color of your jacket suits better. Sister-in-law, you always look so sad; these festive colors don’t suit you. The one I’m holding is more your type.”

Li Hong scoffed, “I think you just want every piece. Minmin has already arranged everything; maybe you should ask her.”

Zhang Minghua looked over, “What’s all this fuss about? You have new clothes and still aren’t happy. I think no one should wear them. Just like previous years, everyone buy their own and keep the peace.”

Bai Hehua and Li Hong then cald down.

“Mom, don’t be upset, I was just kidding with my sister-in-law.”

“Minmin really did a thoughtful thing, bringing gifts from afar. I really like it.”

Zhang Minghua’s expression then softened a bit.

Yang Peimin whispered to her, making Zhang Minghua smile uncontrollably.

“You should stay for two more days before returning.”

“I’ll stay one night; I’ve brought my clothes too. When your son-in-law goes back, Yingzi and I can share a bed.”

“Sure, I still have the quilts you used to use. What do you want for dinner tonight? Is there anything you can’t eat?”

“Anything is fine.”

While they were talking, Second Aunt Yang ca over and, seeing them all dressed so differently, was montarily stunned. “What’s this, the clothes, where did they co from?”
