In the won’s restroom, Elara Don received a call from her best friend, Leia Quinn.

On the phone, Leia ntioned she had returned to the country, and would help pick up Elara’s son from school, and join them for dinner.

Elara was delighted and after hanging up, she called the kindergarten teacher to inform her that Leia would be picking up her son that evening.

This was great, with her best friend back, she wouldn’t have to worry about who’d pick up her son if she had to work late.

With a smile on her face, Elara walked out of the restroom to find a little guy eagerly waiting outside.

Suddenly, her heart softened with a feeling of guilt.

"Charlie, I have to get busy, go and have dinner, okay?"

The little guy liked her so much, but she was destined to let him down.

"Hmm, I’m not hungry, I’ll go with you."

Bea quickly held Elara’s hand, gazing at her eagerly.

"Charlie..."

This kid, does he really have to cling to her like this?

"Elly, since Charlie wants to follow you, why don’t you take him back to the office first, I’ll bring so food over later."

Cole Hawke said with a knowing smile.

Judging from Elara’s expression, she probably didn’t want to face Damon Hawke.

That suited him just fine.

"Alright then."

Elara replied helplessly, "Shall we head back to the office, Charlie?"

"Yeah! Let’s go!"

Bea was thrilled, holding Elara’s hand with a gleeful smile.

Once they left, Cole’s smile faded as he returned to the dining area.

At the table, Damon Hawke had just finished eating and was elegantly wiping his mouth.

Seeing Cole return, his dark eyes swept behind him with faint curiosity.

"Where are they?"

"Elly was in a rush to get back to work, and Charlie said he wasn’t hungry and went with her. I’ll take so food over for him to eat in a bit."

Cole replied with a chuckle.

Damon’s hand halted for a mont, with sothing flashing in his deep gaze.

Clearly, soone was in a hurry to avoid him rather than to work!

In that case, he’d change his approach to et her!

...

Throughout the afternoon, Bea stayed in the research departnt.

While Elara was busy in the lab, he chatted with the other employees during their downti.

The little guy was sweet-talking and charming, endearing himself to several employees.

"Oh my god, the little master from the Hawke Family is so adorable, I just want to sneak him away."

"Haha, isn’t he? It’s almost like it’s coaxing into having a baby."

"It’s a sha that the little master has his eyes set on Charlotte. If he liked , I’d definitely try to get close to Mr. Hawke and would do anything to be the little guy’s stepmother!"

"Ha, dream on during the dayti!"

"..."

Near the end of the workday, the employees gathered and chatted among themselves.

Elara erged from the lab and saw the little guy playing with a bottle, her apricot eyes shining.

This child really made her love and cherish him.

It truly felt like bringing a kid to work!

But why did the little guy enjoy playing with bugs so much?

Could it be because he’s been around her own son?

Elara took off her mask and slowly approached the little guy.

"Charlie, do you also like playing with bugs?"

"Yes."

Bea responded instinctively. When he noticed Elara’s puzzled expression, he quickly added, "Grandpa has a bug lab, with lots of fun insects inside!"

So that’s why!

Elara understood and smiled, her fingers itching to touch the little guy’s mask.

"Charlie..."

"Miss Charlotte, Mr. Hawke asked to take the young master ho."

Rhun Quinn strode into the office, speaking respectfully.

Elara silently withdrew her hand and straightened up.

"Alright."

The little guy had been with her for the entire afternoon, she felt a sudden reluctance to part!

"Hmm, Uncle Quinn, I don’t want to go back."

Bea pouted, showing reluctance as Rhun picked him up.

He wanted to go ho with mommy!

He wanted to eat her delicious food!

"Young master, Mr. Hawke is waiting for you in the office, you can tell him yourself."

Rhun smiled, nodding slightly to Elara as he left.

"Aunt Charlotte, I’ll miss you!"

Bea shouted from Rhun’s shoulder towards Elara.

Elara felt a soft spot in her heart, waving energetically at the little guy.

In the CEO’s office, Damon Hawke sat on his executive chair, still engrossed in work.

The light cast on him highlighted his incredibly handso features.

"Mr. Hawke, the young master is back."

Rhun Quinn put Bea down, announcing.

Damon paused his work, lifting his gaze to focus on the little guy.

Bea pouted and instinctively took off his mask.

Wearing it the whole afternoon, it was suffocating him!

"Why the little sour face after spending the afternoon at Aunt Charlotte’s office?"

Damon looked at the pouting little mouth and smirked.

"Hmph, Dad, you aren’t proactive at all, no wonder you can’t win a wife."

He had spent the afternoon with mommy, and Uncle Hawke hadn’t even stopped by to see him.

He doubted if Uncle Hawke’s intelligence could even match up to mommy!

"Oh, do you think so little of your dad?"

Damon pushed back his office chair, grabbing his belongings, ready to finish work.

Tonight, he had sothing important to do!

"Hmph, it’s not that I look down on you, it’s just that you’re too silly!"

Bea crossed his arms, raising his little chin in dissatisfaction.

Ha!

Stinky boy, already starting to criticize him!

Damon picked him up, "I don’t need you to teach how to do things, just wait and see, I’ll get you the mommy you want."

"Really? Dad, how are you going to court Aunt Charlotte?"

"That’s not your concern. Seeing you’re in such good spirits today, you can go to kindergarten tomorrow."

"Huh? Hmm, Dad, my head still hurts! I can’t go to kindergarten."

"Either go to kindergarten or stay at ho and rest, your choice!"

The little guy’s body wasn’t fully recovered yet, he couldn’t be allowed to be so willful!

"Ah! I want to go to the company to see Aunt Charlotte!"

"Once you’re fully recovered, I’ll naturally take you to the company to see her."

"Hmph, Dad, you’ll regret this! Without , Aunt Charlotte won’t even pay attention to you."

"Ha! Do I need to ride on your coattails?"

"Of course!"

"..."

In the kindergarten.

"Charlie, your mommy asked to tell you that your godmother will pick you up after school."

The teacher conveyed Elara’s ssage to Dominic Hawke.

Dominic was taken aback, his little face drooping imdiately.

Why was Charlie’s godmother coming to pick him up?

Could it be that Dad wasn’t planning to pursue Aunt Charlotte anymore?

How could this be?

Dominic held his small phone and ran to a secluded corner to dial Bea’s number.

The phone rang with buzzing tones, only to be hung up monts later.

Not answering?

Was it inconvenient right now?

Dominic was caught in thought, and as he was about to dial again, the phone rang.

Bea was calling back!

Dominic perked up and quickly answered.

"Hello?"

"Dominic Hawke."

"Mm, Bea, where are you? Is it inconvenient for you? Did you go to the company today?"

Dominic shot off a series of questions.

"Dominic, I just got back ho, I went to the company today!"

"Oh! And my Dad and Aunt Charlotte..."

"Sigh! Dominic, your dad can be a bit dense, you know!"

Dominic: "..."
