Elara Don woke up Dominic Hawke early in the morning.

Because she didn’t want to see Damon Hawke.

Thinking about last night when Damon dropped them off downstairs, saying he’d co to pick up the little one for school tomorrow, and seeing the little one nod happily, she got a headache.

What should she do if her son takes her words as wind by his ear?

"Mommy, why do we have to go to kindergarten so early today?"

Dominic Hawke rubbed his drowsy eyes, noting it was still early, and asked.

"Because there’s sothing at Mommy’s company, we have to go early, so little Bea will have to sleep a little less."

Elara Don placed the prepared breakfast on the table, "Have you brushed your teeth and washed your face? Once you’re done, co and have breakfast."

Aunt Charlotte has sothing early to attend to?

But Daddy will co to take him to school later!

If they leave early, won’t they miss each other?

Is Aunt Charlotte deliberately avoiding Daddy?

Dominic Hawke furrowed his small brows, starting to slow his movents.

"Bea, are you ready yet?"

Elara Don waited a while but didn’t see the little one finish getting ready, so she leaned into the bathroom for a look.

The little one was still washing his face, his movents in slow motion.

The front of his hair was wet, making his eyes look even shinier.

"Mommy, my hair got wet, I need to dry it before we go."

Elara Don: "..."

How did his hair get wet?

She felt like the little one was deliberately stalling for ti?

It was definitely to see Damon Hawke.

Elara Don felt helpless but amused, efficiently helping him finish up, then quickly took out a hairdryer to dry his hair.

"Alright, take your breakfast in your hand, we’ll eat on the way."

Dominic Hawke: "..."

Did Aunt Charlotte notice his intentions?

She really is racing against ti!

"Mommy, Uncle Hawke will co to pick up for school soon, if we leave now, it’ll be a waste of his trip."

"It’s okay, if he gets stood up, he won’t co bothering us next ti."

"Mommy, one should be true to their word."

"Hmm, but when it cos to shaless people, we don’t have to follow these principles."

"..."

Sigh!

Mommy has so many skewed argunts!

How can he win against her?

Dominic Hawke put on his small backpack, having no choice but to let Elara Don hold his hand and lead him out of the house.

In the elevator, he thought for a mont, then took out a mask to put on.

"Bea, why are you wearing a mask again?"

Elara Don saw the little one’s action and asked with curiosity.

"Because I’m too handso, I’m afraid of being targeted by bad people."

Dominic Hawke found a reason for himself, speaking seriously.

He wouldn’t tell her, in case Daddy arrived early, waiting for them downstairs?

He couldn’t let Daddy recognize him so early!

Elara Don burst out laughing, rubbing the little one’s soft hair, saying nothing more.

As long as he wasn’t upset with her, she felt reassured.

It was still early, and there weren’t many pedestrians and vehicles outside.

After they left the complex, Elara Don was about to hail a cab when she vaguely sensed sothing was off.

A few reporters rushed up to her like a gust of wind, surrounding her.

"Miss Thorne, can you explain, is Miss Victoria Don’s complaint true?"

"Miss Thorne, did you really interfere with Miss Victoria Don and Mr. Damon Hawke’s relationship, causing them to separate?"

"Miss Thorne, is this the child you had four years ago with soone else? Do you know who his biological father is?"

"..."

An endless stream of questions ca at her, leaving Elara Don astonished and overwheld.

She held the little one tight in her arms, covering his ears, preventing him from hearing these spiteful words.

Secretly, she felt thankful the little one was wearing a mask, so the reporters couldn’t capture his face.

But really, what was going on now?

"I don’t know what you’re talking about, please move aside."

Victoria Don’s complaint?

Had she been talking nonsense to the reporters?

That vile woman, I’d forgotten to expose her dirt yesterday!

"Miss Thorne, we hear you are the Don Family’s adopted daughter, so Miss Victoria Don is sowhat your sister. How can you steal her boyfriend so brazenly?"

"Miss Thorne, in response to Victoria Don’s complaint, shouldn’t you apologize?"

"..."

Several reporters, pumped with enthusiasm, had Elara Don surrounded, making it impossible for her to move.

Another reporter attempted to grab Dominic Hawke’s little arm, wanting him to face the cara.

"Don’t touch my son!"

Elara Don, both urgent and angry, forcefully slapped the reporter’s hand away.

"Hey, Miss Thorne, why would you resort to violence?"

"Exactly, Miss Thorne, by refusing our interview, are you feeling guilty?"

"..."

The reporters’ noisy chatter made Elara Don, trapped in the middle, on the verge of fainting.

At that mont, a deep, cold male voice sounded, "What are you doing?"

The journalists heard the voice, looking back to see Damon Hawke striding over.

Still in his white shirt and black pants as an elite, only the icy gale in his stride was sharp as a knife.

The man’s expression was as cold as ice, his sharp eyes scanning around, exuding a fierce aura.

Several reporters involuntarily stepped back, not daring to act rashly for the mont.

"Get lost! If anyone dares to harass this mother and child again, don’t bla , Damon Hawke, for being rude!"

Damon Hawke walked to Elara Don’s side, quickly picking up Dominic Hawke in his arms, then wrapping his arm around Elara Don’s shoulders, his face as cold as frost, as he led them to his car.

The chilling warning echoed in their ears as the reporters looked on helplessly while the three boarded the car, quickly pressing their shutters.

They didn’t dare defy the order of this business magnate, so they could only take more photos to report back!

In the car, Elara Don held Dominic Hawke in the back seat, taking out her phone to check the news.

With just one look, she spotted Victoria Don’s interview featured on major platforms.

She clicked it open, and inside was a scene where Victoria Don sat before the cara, her eyes red as she made her complaint.

"Elara Don is my father’s adopted daughter, I know she hates my father for cutting off their father-daughter relationship four years ago due to her lack of self-respect, so she deliberately got close to my fiancé, used my son’s innocence to climb up to the Hawke Family, to retaliate against the Don Family."

"I don’t bla my fiancé for breaking off our engagent because I know, I have too many shortcomings. If it weren’t for the fact we have a child together, he wouldn’t even look at ."

"But, I’m just worried he’ll be deceived! Elara Don indeed has a knack for dating n, those who haven’t had deep interactions with her are almost always drawn to her pure appearance. I’m terribly worried my fiancé will be like other n and be deceived by Elara Don!"

"Moreover, I’m not just concerned about my fiancé, I’m more worried about my son! He’s young and could easily fall into the traps of those with intentions. If Elara Don really marries into the Hawke Family, I’m afraid my son will be flattered, growing up to be a useless playboy with no discernnt between right and wrong because of Elara Don!"
