Downstairs, Alia Miles sat on the sofa drinking water, continuously thinking about how to persuade Frost Moore to treat Damon Hawke.
At this mont, Frost Moore and Sarah Moore ca downstairs.
"Can we start eating?" Frost asked.
"Yes, young master," the servant replied.
"Alright, Miss Grant, let’s eat first," Frost said, glancing at Alia Miles as she stood up.
"Thank you," she replied with a grateful smile, glancing at Sarah Moore before following the two into the dining room.
The little one, full and satisfied, was taken by a servant to go play.
Frost Moore glanced at Alia, gesturing for her to take a seat.
Knowing that Alia’s bodyguards were still standing guard outside, he instructed the servant to bring them so food.
Such behavior clearly marked him as a well-mannered heir of a prominent family.
Alia said nothing, thinking that such a man, if reasoned with and emotionally appealed to, would surely agree to help Damon Hawke.
"Miss Grant, please, don’t stand on ceremony, let’s eat," Frost Moore spoke, elegantly starting the al.
Alia shook herself back to the present, looking at the dishes on the table, blinking.
Vexia and Sea City are far apart, with very different dietary habits.
Yet several dishes on this table were her favorites.
They must have been specially prepared for her.
A piece of at appeared atop her bowl, and Alia looked up to et Sarah Moore’s clear gaze.
"Thank you," she said with a gentle smile, feeling a slight unease rise within her.
She already knew Sarah was Frost’s sister.
Before she went upstairs, she had specially instructed the servant with a few words. Could it be that she asked them to prepare these favorite dishes of hers?
How did she know these were her favorite dishes?
Was it just a coincidence?
Suppressing her wild thoughts, Alia started eating.
The taste of the food was surprisingly delicious, almost indistinguishable from her own cooking at ho.
She blinked, sensing sothing was amiss.
Watching Alia eat, Sarah gently lifted the white gauze from her face and began eating as well.
The al was eaten in silence, and when they were nearly finished, Alia put down her chopsticks and wiped her mouth.
"Mr. Moore, thank you so much for your hospitality; you’re truly a kind person."
Having been given a "good person" card, Frost put down his chopsticks as well.
His well-defined fingers retrieved a napkin and wiped, giving her a look.
"No need to flatter , after the al..."
"Mr. Moore, I’m not leaving just like that, unless you agree to treat my fiancé," Alia quickly intervened.
Frost raised his eyebrows, intentionally asking, "Are you planning to stick around here then?"
"Yes, Mr. Moore, if you don’t agree, I’ll be here every day until you do," Alia replied firmly, nodding vigorously.
Frost chuckled lightly, "I didn’t expect the current CEO of Miles Corporation to be so thick-skinned!"
Alia shrugged, "Mr. Moore, say what you will, but if you don’t agree, I won’t leave."
Sarah looked back and forth between the two, smiling as she patted Frost’s hand.
"Brother, stop teasing her."
Frost was a kind and warm-hearted older brother with a righteous spirit. He had already agreed to accompany her to Sea City.
"Mr. Moore, are you willing to treat my fiancé?"
Hearing Sarah’s words, Alia’s eyes lit up, and she hurriedly asked.
Frost said, "With your persistence, if I don’t agree, I’m afraid there won’t be a mont’s peace."
Alia’s heart surged with emotions, "Thank you, thank you both."
Frost truly agreed to treat Damon Hawke!
Wonderful.
"So, Mr. Moore, will you co with to Sea City, or should I bring him here?" Alia eagerly asked.
"Didn’t you say Sea City is a nice place? I’ve decided to go there to inspect it," Frost said, glancing at Sarah.
"Alright, Mr. Moore, when we get to Sea City, I will definitely play the perfect host."
He agreed to go to Sea City with her!
Alia felt another burst of excitent, eager to leave at once.
"When should we depart then, Mr. Moore?"
Hearing this, Frost looked again at Sarah.
"In a few days."
Sarah touched her face, "Miss Grant, I’m sorry, we’ll need to keep you waiting a bit. I had an accident earlier and injured my face and throat, I’m still recovering, so it’ll be a few days before I can go to Sea City with you."
"It’s alright, it’s alright, a few days isn’t a problem, I’m already grateful enough that you’re willing to co back to Sea City with to help my fiancé," Alia said quickly.
She also had work to attend to here.
Now, both professional and personal matters were being taken care of.
So happy.
"Alright then, I have to head out for so company work this afternoon, Miss Grant, make yourself comfortable here," Frost said, checking his watch and preparing to leave.
"Brother, be careful on the road," Sarah quickly helped him with his coat, reminding him.
Frost took the coat, went to the door to change his shoes, and then stood straight, patting her shoulder.
"Brooke, you promised , no one must know your true identity."
Sarah pursed her lips, "Brother, don’t worry, I won’t tell."
She knew Frost was cautious about loose talk, subtly reminding her that even though Alia was her best friend, her identity must remain a secret.
Frost left, Sarah watched him drive away and closed the villa door.
Turning around, she saw Alia staring at her in a daze.
Sarah’s eyes flickered slightly as she instructed the servants to arrange a room for Alia.
Alia slowly approached her, "Thank you, Miss rcer, honestly, you really remind of my best friend."
Sarah’s posture stiffened for a mont, then it returned to normal.
"Miss Grant, would you like to walk around to digest after the al?"
Her voice was still hoarse and unpleasant, but Alia found it endearing.
It felt like the kind of after-al strolls and chats she’d have with her best friend.
"Sure," Alia agreed.
The two walked slowly into the backyard of the villa.
The afternoon sun was warm, illuminating the garden’s greenery and flowers with clarity.
As they walked, Alia occasionally turned her head to observe Sarah Moore.
Sarah sighed inwardly, calling out her friend’s nickna loudly in her heart.
Elly, I’m sorry, I can’t reveal myself to you yet!
But eting her away from ho brought her imnse joy.
Since she fell into the water, she felt no attachnt to anyone, except those wonderful days with her best friend.
She thought they might not et again in this lifeti.
Unexpectedly, they t so soon.
"Miss Grant, are you curious about what I look like?"
Sarah paused at a gazebo, speaking out.
Alia felt a bit awkward, tidying the hair by her ear without saying anything.
Sarah slowly removed the veil, revealing a face unfamiliar to Alia.
It was a face bearing no resemblance at all to Leia Quinn.
Alia inexplicably felt disappointed.
The little thought remaining that this person could be Kiki drifted away.
She realized she’d been overthinking things.
This person was the heiress of the Moore Ho, how could she be her best friend Leia Quinn?
Yet, where was her best friend Leia Quinn now?
