Back in the room, Victoria Don closed the door and then called Gavin Miles.

The phone rang twice before it was picked up.

Victoria lowered her voice and asked, "What’s up? Why did you suddenly text ?"

"Victoria Don, aren’t you still at the Hawke Family’s old house?"

Gavin’s cold voice ca through the static.

"Yes." Victoria replied.

"So what’s Damon Hawke’s attitude towards Alia Miles now?"

Damon’s attitude towards Alia now?

Victoria recalled the earlier scene and couldn’t help but smile smugly.

"Right now, Damon is very disgusted with Alia. They just had a big fight."

On hearing this, Gavin was filled with doubt.

"Is what you’re saying true? Damon disgusts Alia? They had a big fight?"

"Of course, I was right there when they argued."

Victoria answered confidently.

"Is that so? Could it be Damon put on an act just for you?"

Gavin said with a sinister tone.

Victoria’s smile froze and her brows furrowed.

"Gavin, what are you saying? What’s going on?"

Does Gavin think Damon is acting for her?

How is that possible?

What exactly happened?

"Today the Grant Family had a batch of dical equipnt transported by sea, we added sothing inside, wanted to make it tough on Alia. But unexpectedly, the Netherworld Organization intervened midway and snatched the cargo."

Gavin spoke slowly, "The Netherworld Organization is Damon’s enterprise, don’t you think it’s too much of a coincidence? If he hadn’t intervened, Alia would have faced disaster today. I think Damon must have rembered sothing."

Hearing this, Victoria suddenly realized.

"Is that it? Gavin, you might be mistaken. I heard them fighting because of this matter. Damon just doesn’t want to have business interactions with Alia, so he had the Netherworld Organization take the goods. Relax, he has ’Gu’ in him, he listens to ."

How could Damon have regained his mory already?

With ’Gu’ in him, she wasn’t worried at all that Damon wouldn’t listen to her.

"It better be as you say, that Damon listens to your every word."

Gavin snorted coldly, "But, just in case, you should go to Uncle’s place tomorrow and get sothing."

"What thing?"

"Sothing that’ll make him obediently cooperate with ."

Gavin sneered.

Victoria frowned, knowing that Gavin was referring to sothing addictive.

"Gavin, don’t you trust ?"

"It’s not that I don’t trust you, it’s called a two-pronged approach. Only then can we, the Grant Family, swallow up the Hawke Corporation quickly. You should know that our cooperation is ultimately to engulf the Hawke Corporation."

Gavin finished and hung up the phone.

Around his waist, Jas Lee brought a grape to his mouth.

Gavin chuckled and turned to push half-bitten grape into Jas’s mouth.

Jas pushed Gavin onto the sofa, saying, "Julian, since you want to devour the Hawke Corporation, Alia is a stumbling block."

Gavin’s eyes glead with a trace of affection, he hooked Jas’s neck, "The secretary said she’s going to Vexia. Since she didn’t get into trouble this ti, next ti she goes to Vexia, let her never co back!"

Hearing this, Jas raised an eyebrow and leaned in to kiss his Adam’s apple.

"Julian, you’re getting more ruthless."

"Don’t you like it?"

"No, I just like your ruthless attitude towards others, and tenderness towards ."

"..."

The night was quiet.

Damon finished his water and returned to the bedroom.

Unable to sleep, he sat on the sofa, his mind recalling Alia’s teary-eyed scene granting him freedom.

This little woman, could she really be angry?

Should he text her and ask how she is?

While lost in thought, the door handle turned with a soft click.

Instinctively turning his head, Damon saw Alia sneak in quietly.

She’s here?

Judging by her deanor, was the earlier outburst just a show for Victoria?

Damon raised a brow, smiling faintly at Alia.

Her gaze t his, and seeing the smile on his handso face, she pouted.

"You’re still laughing!"

This man, couldn’t he ntion even a word about anything, just keep watching her in a solo act?

"Are you angry? So are you really going to grant and Victoria?"

Damon’s smile deepened, asking with interest.

"Yes, isn’t it good to let you both be together? Anyway, you hate so much, whether in work or private, you don’t want any contact with , do you?"

Alia rolled her eyes and pretended to be angry as she sat on the sofa.

Damon chuckled, leaned closer, "Can you really bear it?"

"What if I can’t? The person you love the most isn’t anymore."

Alia turned sideways, her voice grumbling sweetly.

They were so close their gazes intertwined, each could see a small reflection of themselves in the other’s eyes.

Damon stared steadfastly at her, sothing flickering in his deep eyes.

It seed close to her, wasn’t as intolerable as imagined.

However, a voice in his mind kept reminding him, Alia was still the person he most despised.

"Was there sothing on the ship?"

Seeing Damon inch closer and then sit upright, Alia didn’t dwell on it, seriously asking.

Damon’s expression also turned serious.

"Yes, soone tampered, this batch of your goods was mixed with contraband."

Hearing this, Alia’s fingers curled up subconsciously.

"No wonder the police appeared suddenly, soone must have frad , and that person must be one of Gavin’s kind. Who has he conspired with?"

"He might be in league with Henry Harris."

Damon spoke gravely, "Henry used to be the Second Uncle in the Netherworld Organization, now he’s gone independent, always doing shady business."

Alia knew Henry, hearing Damon’s analysis, she nodded.

"Tom, thank you, good thing your intelligence is so well-inford, otherwise I might have ended up in the police station again."

Damon glanced at her, "No need to thank , after all, we’re still partners, if the Grant Family gets into trouble, our Hawke Corporation would also be implicated."

Partners?

Alia blinked, "Is that all?"

Was it just for business purposes, he decided to help her?

"What else? What can you expect from ?"

Damon raised a brow, smiling aningfully.

Did she forget that he was still amnesiac, filled with loathing for her.

Not kicking her while she’s down is already pretty good.

"That’s true, I can’t expect anything from you."

Alia pouted, "I’ll move out tomorrow, to make way for you and Victoria."

Damon: "..."

Here we go again?

"Are you serious?"

"Of course, truer than true gold."

Alia leaned in a bit and gave Damon a bright smile, "What’s the matter, you can’t bear it?"

Damon: "..."

Soone is deliberately mimicking him, trying to tease him!
