Upon hearing Craig Landers’ words, Damon Hawke’s face suddenly changed, and the aura around him grew intensely cold.

Elara Don actually got caught in the police station!

"I’ll be back imdiately."

Without bothering to ask further, Damon hung up the phone and left.

On the opposite side, Evelyn Miles followed him out urgently.

"Tom, where are you going? What happened?"

Hearing Evelyn’s voice, Damon paused, and his gaze at Evelyn turned sharp.

Today’s events seed a bit too coincidental.

Why did sothing happen at his company and Elara have an incident right when he left Sea City?

"Tom, why are you looking at like that?"

Evelyn was frightened by Damon’s expression and asked timidly.

Damon stared at her for two seconds and then strode away.

"Elly is in trouble, I need to go back imdiately."

The situation was still unclear; it was best to go back first.

"What happened to Elly? Tom, I’ll go back with you."

Evelyn quickly kept up.

"No need."

"Tom, an extra person ans extra strength. Maybe I can help?"

Evelyn persisted.

Damon frowned, glanced at her, and didn’t refuse anymore.

At the police station.

Elara Don sat in the interrogation room, facing repeated questioning by the officers, already exhausted ntally.

"Officer, no matter how many tis you ask, my answer remains the sa. I’ve been wrongfully accused, I haven’t done anything illegal."

"Elara Don, confess and be lenient; resist and face severity! Everyone brought here initially claims they’re wrongfully accused! You better think carefully before speaking. If you’re innocent, how do you explain what’s in your bag? And how do you explain Jack Clarke’s death?"

The officer asked sternly.

Elara felt utterly helpless and teary.

"I’ve said it before, I have no idea how those things ended up in my bag. Jack Clarke’s death has nothing to do with either."

"Elara Don, you sure know how to shirk responsibility."

The officer stared at Elara, "This Jack Clarke drove drunk and killed your mother back then. So you found him, arranged a eting, and bore a grudge, then directly used drugs to kill him, didn’t you?"

"I didn’t, I’m innocent!"

Elara had been held all afternoon; her eyes were dry, her throat hoarse, and she weakly protested.

What to do?

She’s being presud guilty, accused of drug trafficking and murder!

How can she clear her na!

Today’s events must be a plot.

The person behind this killed Jack Clarke and shifted the bla onto her.

It’s truly insidious!

So who is this mastermind?

Outside.

Leia Quinn had arrived in tears.

Beside her, Craig Landers was on the phone with acquaintances, seeking an update.

After hanging up, Leia promptly stepped forward to ask.

"Wayne, what did they say? Can we bail Elly out now?"

Craig put away his phone, shook his head helplessly.

"The police are investigating a major drug case lately, with tight control from above. Elly’s bag was found with contraband, which is a serious matter. At the height of this storm, no concessions can be made."

Not to ntion bail, even visitation is difficult.

"What should we do? Will Elly be held here? She might be scared!"

Leia was anxious and worried.

Craig frowned tightly, montarily at a loss.

Just wait until Damon returns to discuss.

Forty minutes later, Damon hurried to the police station.

Accompanying him were Evelyn Miles, Rhun Quinn, and a lawyer.

Leia saw Damon and Evelyn arrive together and imdiately lashed out, "Damon Hawke, what do you an? You didn’t answer calls or ssages, were you with her all day?"

Damon’s expression was cold as he stepped toward them.

"Wayne, tell the whole story again."

"Damon Hawke, are you pretending you can’t hear ?"

Seeing Damon ignore her, Leia got angrier.

Craig quickly pulled her aside, "Cindy, now isn’t the ti for this, serious matters first."

He knew his brother’s character; there had to be a reason for him being with Evelyn.

"Damon, it’s like this."

Craig explained what he knew once more.

Damon listened carefully, his aura full of lethal energy.

"That’s the situation. I had hoped to bail her out, but apparently, it’s not possible."

Craig quickly concluded, feeling sowhat regretful, "Sorry Damon, it’s my fault for not arranging things properly, putting Elly at risk."

Damon glanced at him, then suddenly threw a punch.

Craig staggered, barely managing to stand.

Leia gasped and quickly supported Craig, "Wayne."

Craig held his chest, suppressing a cough, and shook his head at her.

Leia was furious, "Damon Hawke, how dare you hit him? Where were you when Elly needed you? Off cavorting with your old fla!"

Damon’s face was icy, yet he said nothing.

Craig pulled at Leia, signaling her to stop.

Watching silently from the side, Evelyn felt smug.

"Miss Linton, don’t make it sound so bad. I was with Tom today, but we had serious business."

"Miss Grant, what business do you have interrupting our conversation?"

Leia retorted irritably.

Evelyn opened her mouth, ready to say a few more words, when Director Ward hurriedly ca out to greet.

"Mr. Hawke."

Damon nodded slightly at him, "Director Ward, I’d like to bail out Elara Don."

"This..."

Today, nurous people had approached him for Elara’s bail.

The director felt stressed, "Mr. Hawke, it’s not that I don’t want to accommodate. Today, we had police action, and Miss Thorne was apprehended publicly. Now she’s caught red-handed; although she claims innocence, without evidence, I can’t justify her release."

Understanding the director’s dilemma, Damon asked a question, "Director, was today’s action classified?"

"Yes, we’ve been investigating a drug transaction case. Today’s action was decided last week during a departntal eting; it’s classified," replied the director.

Damon squinted, deep in thought.

He knew Elara was innocent.

But the timing was too coincidental.

How did Elara end up amidst undercover operations when going to et Jack Clarke?

Crucially, incriminating evidence had appeared in her bag.

If this wasn’t coincidence, then whoever orchestrated this must be soone with significant power.

Who could it be?

"Director, could you make an exception to let see Elara Don?"

Damon took a step back and proposed a request.

"This..."

"Director, in the coming months, Hawke Corporation will increase sponsorship for the police departnt’s required supplies."

Damon offered a sweetener.

"Mr. Hawke, regardless of the situation, Miss Thorne still has visitation rights. Please follow ," said the director warmly, signaling Damon to follow him inside.
