"Miss Thorne, so you are the biological mother of these two children?"

Elder Hawthorne looked at Elara Don, his expression calming down.

Elara Don nodded, "Yes, I only recently found out the truth myself."

Elder Hawthorne didn’t say anything, instead looking over at Madam Hawke.

Madam Hawke glanced at the twin brothers leaning protectively on either side of Elara Don and sighed softly.

"Let Charlie and Bea eat first, don’t let the children go hungry."

It’s all fate!

Originally, there were so reservations in their hearts.

After all, no matter the circumstances, Elara Don did not fit the Hawthorne Family’s criteria for a daughter-in-law.

Not only did she lack social standing, but she also had a son of unknown origin.

But now things are different.

Although Elara Don has no family background, she is at least a benefactor to the Hawthorne Family.

She gave birth to two sons for Damon.

If she marries into the Hawthorne Family this way, it’s a case of a mother gaining esteem through her children, which will reduce a lot of idle gossip.

"Old sir, madam, ti was a bit rushed, I haven’t prepared any good dishes, but please have so."

Elara Don said courteously.

The two Hawthorne elders shared a look, smiles appearing on their faces.

After all, they’ve tasted Elara Don’s cooking—it was delicious.

Damon Hawke had been silent, watching the four descendents settle at the table, his eyebrows raised slightly as a smile tugged at his lips.

Have they beco this natural together?

Great!

Yet, why hasn’t soone invited him to the table?

Damon Hawke glanced at Elara Don who was busy with the food, clearing his throat lightly.

Elara Don paused, head remaining lowered, acting as if she hadn’t heard him, continuing to serve soup to the four at the table.

It was only then that the others rembered Damon Hawke’s existence.

The two elder Hawthorne didn’t say a word.

They realized that soone wasn’t welco here.

The two little ones also glanced at him, blinking without speaking.

Mommy is having a disagreent with Daddy!

Hmm, they had better stay out of it!

Four pairs of eyes turned towards him, then all shifted away simultaneously.

Damon Hawke was exasperated.

Are these people still his beloved family!

Don’t they care about him at all?

"Ahem, the food slls great, Dad, Mom, you’ve tried Elly’s cooking before, it’s quite good, right."

With no one to help him out of the awkward situation, he thickened his skin and found his own way down.

Damon Hawke pulled out a chair and sat beside Bea.

His gaze swept across the table, realizing there weren’t any extra table settings!

Should he eat with his hands?

Damon Hawke glanced at the expressionless Elara Don and cleared his throat while standing up, "I’ll go grab so tableware."

"We usually have few people at ho, so the chopsticks and bowls aren’t enough."

Elara Don sat down next to Dominic Hawke and said quietly.

Damon Hawke: "..."

So he’s the only one missing a set of tableware?

This woman, really doesn’t give him any face!

"Damon, I’m not very hungry, you eat first."

Madam Hawke found it amusing and after sipping a bowl of soup, passed her bowl and chopsticks over.

"Mom, it’s alright, you eat first."

Damon Hawke pushed the bowl back.

"You’re a grown man with a weak stomach, you can’t afford to be hungry, just eat."

"It’s okay, I can withstand hunger."

"..."

The two pushed and pulled, Elara Don sighed, and placed the rice in front of Damon Hawke, then stood up and went to the kitchen.

The others at the table watched her back, montarily speechless.

Damon Hawke’s eyebrows raised, a smile curling at his lips.

Soone is quite the cultured woman.

Of course, she wouldn’t truly leave Madam Hawke without food!

"Damon, let’s eat first and after, we’ll talk properly with Elly."

Madam Hawke’s impression of Elara Don wasn’t bad and spoke up.

Damon Hawke gave a brief nod and began to eat gracefully.

Just then, the doorbell rang urgently.

Everyone at the table raised their eyes, exchanging glances.

Who could be here at this ti?

"You all eat slowly, I’ll go open the door."

Elara Don wiped her mouth and quickly walked to the door.

Upon seeing Vinny Hawke standing outside, Elara Don only felt her head starting to swell.

Today turned out to be the day of a grand gathering.

The entire Hawthorne Family was in her tiny ho.

The elders hadn’t said much yet, but Vinny Hawke...

The doorbell continued to ring, its urgent sound indicating the impatience of the person outside.

Elara Don pressed her lips together and opened the door.

"Miss Hawthorne."

Vinny Hawke glared at her with a cold face, peeking inside.

Upon seeing her parents inside, her brows imdiately furrowed.

"Dad, Mom, Damon, you’re actually dining here?"

She ca to ask Elara Don so questions.

But didn’t expect her family to have arrived earlier than her.

And eating together!

Do they have to be this affectionate!

"Vinny, what brings you here?"

Madam Hawke put down her chopsticks, looking at her imposing daughter.

"I heard people say that Elara Don despicably stole Damon’s child, of course, I ca to get to the bottom of it!"

Vinny Hawke walked into the dining room, eyeing the two little ones sitting together, full of disbelief.

Elara Don’s son really looks just like Charlie!

Could she really have secretly taken the Hawthorne family seed years ago?

"Sis, don’t listen to people’s nonsense. Elara Don is actually Charlie and Bea’s biological mother, it was Victoria Don who despicably stole Charlie and pretended to be his biological mother."

Damon Hawke frowned, explaining.

"What did you say? Victoria Don was pretending? Elara Don is actually Charlie’s biological mother?"

Vinny Hawke found it even harder to believe.

"Yes, Victoria Don has already admitted it."

Damon Hawke spoke, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

Planning to settle scores with Victoria Don later!

Vinny Hawke moved her lips, unable to speak, her expression extrely ugly.

She looked at the two little ones, then at Elara Don, completely unable to accept that the two children were born to Elara Don.

After a while, she took a deep breath and said, "Damon, take Charlie and Bea back to the Hawthorne Family."

Since Bea is also of Hawthorne lineage, he should acknowledge his roots.

As for Elara Don, she has no right to enter the Hawthorne Family.

"Miss Hawthorne, what do you intend to do? Charlie and Bea are my sons, I won’t let anyone take them away."

Elara Don looked alert upon hearing Vinny Hawke’s words.

Vinny Hawke glared at her, "They are descendants of the Hawthorne Family, what right do you have to stop us from taking them?"

"Because I am their biological mother, I have the right not to let you take them."

Elara Don straightened her back, her eyes full of determination.

Vinny Hawke stared directly at her, "Elara Don, do you want to use your children to gain status? To take this chance to marry into the Hawthorne Family? I’m telling you, we’ll take the children back, but we will never accept soone like you from the lower class!"

"Miss Hawthorne, I never wanted to marry into the Hawthorne Family, but the children are also my sons, I have the right to be with them."

Elara Don didn’t back down one bit.

The atmosphere beca tense and confrontational.

The two little ones at the table shared a look, slid off their chairs, and ran to stand by Elara Don’s sides.

"Aunt, I want to be with Mommy."

"Wherever Mommy is, that’s where I want to be, I won’t be separated from Mommy!"
