The forest, the dense woods exude a chilling aura in the night.

All around, it is silent, except for the rustling sound made by a man’s footsteps, startling unknown creatures to cry out.

"Elly, where are you?"

Damon Hawke called out anxiously for Elara Don, asking Chase Quinn for the map, searching for a cabin in the forest.

The entire forest was too vast; he didn’t know where Henry Harris might have hidden her.

His n were searching everywhere, and that cabin was the forester’s dwelling place. Would Elara be there?

Damon pushed aside the bushes and finally saw a cabin in the distance.

"Elly, are you there?"

Damon’s gaze darkened, and he quickened his pace.

He pushed the door open and quickly glanced inside.

At first glance, he saw the woman whose hands and feet were bound, sitting with her head drooping in the corner.

"Elly."

Damon’s pupils contracted as he hurriedly walked over, quickly undoing the ropes on her hands and feet.

"Elly, wake up!"

Fortunately, she was only asleep but the bomb on her...

The beeping sound was incessant.

Ten seconds left, and the bomb was about to go off!

Damon’s face changed drastically.

Ten seconds!

No matter how much he understood about bombs, it was too late to dismantle it!

At this mont, Elara let out a faint moan and slowly woke up.

In her daze, she saw Damon’s face.

"Tom?"

Her mind was muddled, and waves of heat surged through her body, making it unclear if she was seeing Damon or Thomas King.

Unbearable!

She was feeling so uncomfortable!

"Elly, I’m sorry, it’s my fault!"

Five seconds remaining...

Damon strongly embraced Elara into his arms, closed his eyes, shielding the resolution and pain in his gaze.

If he couldn’t save her, then he’d accompany her to the afterlife!

Four, three, two...

"Elly, I need to confess, actually, I..."

"Tom, I feel uncomfortable..."

Elara’s head grew dizzier, and she hugged Damon, her head constantly rubbing, her small hands restlessly fidgeting on his chest.

Damon was about to explain his identity when he suddenly opened his eyes, sensing Elara’s unease.

Beep...

The bomb emitted a piercing screech.

Damon’s breath hitched...

However, the imagined scene of being blown apart did not occur.

He was still there, intact.

Still holding his woman closely.

A realization suddenly hit Damon, his heart both angry and relieved.

Damned Henry Harris, he did it intentionally!

Purposefully creating confusion, just to warn him!

Ignoring everything else, Damon quickly removed the dud bomb from Elara’s body.

"Elly, don’t be afraid, we are safe now."

The woman’s expression was dazed, and the faint moonlight fell on her face, revealing her abnormal complexion.

This appearance...

Beep, the phone rang.

Damon pursed his thin lips and took out his phone.

It was a call from Henry Harris!

Damon’s eyes flashed with ferocity.

After answering, Henry’s voice ca through.

"Thomas King, did you find her? Got frightened a bit? See, your uncle was kind to you; just gave you a small lesson this ti, didn’t truly want to kill you both. But don’t provoke again, or you’d better consider the consequences."

Henry paused and then chuckled, "By the way, the night is late, knowing you young lovers barely escaped with your lives, inevitably excited, so your dear uncle thoughtfully sent you a big gift, enjoy the moonlight tonight."

Henry Harris’s gift!

He ant...

A woman’s slender arms wrapped around his waist.

Damon’s gaze darkened, filled with anger and helplessness.

Henry should have drugged Elara.

That old, irredeemable bastard!

If Damon couldn’t arrive tonight, and the drug effect in Elara’s body wasn’t relieved in ti, she might have died!

And even if he did arrive in ti, doing anything in this remote forest would be a humiliation to both him and her.

That vile old codger!

Damon internally cursed Henry, but had no ti for anything else.

Because Elara’s restless little hands were already inside his clothes.

"Elly, sorry, tonight I must make you my woman. Rest assured, I will take full responsibility."

Damon spoke in a hoarse voice, lifting Elara into his arms, gently placed her on the bed.

Then, he leaned down...

The moonlight shone coldly over the earth, the branches swaying with the movents inside the house...

In a certain villa area.

Vinny Hawke glared at the man slowly coming down from upstairs, speaking coldly: "Are you going to make that call or not? Do you plan to just watch Damon and that Elara together without doing anything?"

The man’s figure was sowhat thin, and though his face was no longer young, it was still handso.

The grand light in the living room was dazzling, illuminating his brow and eyes.

His brow and eyes had so resemblance to Damon’s.

He coughed lightly twice, walked up to Vinny, and sat her down on the sofa.

"Why getting angry? When have I ever not listened to you? I will call."

Vinny briskly shook off his arm, her tone stiff, "Then what are you waiting for."

The man sighed internally, took out his phone, found Damon’s number, and dialed it.

At this mont, Damon was lovingly cleaning Elara’s body on the bed.

A sense of satisfaction, yet a bit of regret.

Sorry, Elly, for taking you through this way!

He swore to compensate her doubly in the future.

The drug effect within Elara had been resolved.

She moaned slightly, her eyelashes trembled, trying to open her eyes.

Her head was dizzy, and she was aware of what happened to her body.

However, she couldn’t muster any strength.

"Be good, sleep."

Seeing Elara uneasily twitch her eyelids, Damon gently patted her body and comforted her softly.

Elara hearing his words, gradually cald down.

At this mont, his phone rang.

Damon furrowed his brows, quickly got off the bed, and took his phone outside.

In the light of the moon, upon seeing the incoming call display, his brows slightly eased.

Answering, he called out, "ntor."

"Damon, I just returned and heard so things."

The man’s voice ca through the static, carrying a hint of hoarseness.

Damon pressed his thin lips lightly, silent for a mont.

His ntor, Andrew King, the earliest leader of the Netherworld Organization.

As a child, he had been kidnapped and was saved by him.

Afterward, he insisted on taking him as his apprentice and made him hide his true identity, always following him.

Until the past couple of years when he got seriously ill and needed treatnt abroad, he handed the Netherworld Organization fully over to him.

He had always been in touch with his sister Vinny.

At this ti, he suddenly returned, could it be that his sister said sothing to him?

"ntor, if you have anything to say, just say it directly."

Damon spoke straightforwardly without beating around the bush.
